Lucid Launches Killer 2025 Air Lease Offer for June
The Lucid Air is one of the standout candidates in the EV segment, with attractive looks, impressive specs, and plenty of space to boot. If you've been waiting for the right time to see what all the hype is about, Lucid is now offering up to $31,500 off the Air, but you better move fast, as the offer ends at the end of June. The lease offers for the 2026 Lucid Air are nationwide, meaning that regardless of where you live in the U.S., you'll be able to save a Scrooge McDuck-sized bag of cash. The Lucid Air Pure is available for $519/month for 36 months with $3,639 due at signing and up to $21,500 off split between a $2,000 on-site bonus, a $2,000 conquest bonus, a $10,000 Air Credit, and a $7,500 EV Credit. Step up to more powerful Lucid Air Touring, and you'll get $539/month for 36 months with $4,079 due at signing and up to $26,500 off split between a $2,000 on-site bonus, a $2,000 conquest bonus, a $15,000 Air Credit, and a $7,500 EV Credit. At the top of the trim tree is the Lucid Air Grand Touring, with a payment of $849/month for 36 months with $6,819 due at signing and up to $31,500 off split between a $2,000 on-site bonus, a $2,000 conquest bonus, a $20,000 Air Credit, and a $7,500 EV Credit. These lease offers end on June 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET, which is also when you'll need to take delivery of your Air to take advantage of the on-site bonus or Air Credit. The conquest bonus is available to U.S. residents who own or lease an internal combustion or hybrid vehicle from a competitive brand including Acura, Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Genesis, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes, Maserati, Porsche, Volvo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Ineos, Lamborghini, Lotus, McLaren, MINI, and Rolls Royce. If you trade in a Tesla, you can even get an additional $4,000 Tesla Trade-in Allowance. Potential lessees who want to save money on the upfront costs can pay $0 at signing, with some adjustments to the monthly payment. We have estimated the monthly payments by spreading the amount at signing over the lease's term. A $0 down payment on a Lucid Air Pure by around $101 per month, for a total payment of ~$620 per month. On a Lucid Air Touring, you'll see a monthly increase of ~$113 for a total payment of ~$652 per month. Lastly, the top Lucid Air Grand Touring would see an increase of ~$189 for a total payment of $1,038 per month. *This $0 down figure is an estimation. Official $0 down lease offers from Lucid may differ based on their specific calculations, credit approval, and potential money factor adjustments. Always obtain a quote directly from Lucid. Even in its base $69,900 Pure trim, the Lucid Air doesn't fail to impress. With a 420-mile range, 430 hp, a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, and a charge to 200 miles time of 17 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger, it will easily knock many other EVs clear out of the water. Step up to the $78,900 Touring, and those figures jump up significantly in most areas. We're talking a 406-mile range, 620 hp, a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds, and a charge to 200 miles time of 16 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger. Lastly, we have the Grand Touring, with a 512-mile range, 819 hp, a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 seconds, and a charge to 200 miles time of 12 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger. Save for a few extra amenities, like a full-length sunroof, all of the Air's trim levels sport tremendous opulence inside, with tasteful wood touches all around. A 34-inch "Glass Cockpit" houses both the digital cluster and the infotainment system, with an optional 21-speaker Surreal Sound Pro sound system filling the cabin with your sweet tunes. Cargo space in the Air is 22.1 cubic feet in the trunk that expands to 64.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down, and 10 cubic feet in the front trunk. We won't mention the $249,000 Sapphire, as that's in a league all of its own. Lease offers can vary based on location and specific vehicle configuration (trim level, options, etc.) and are subject to credit approval. Advertised payments typically exclude taxes, title, registration, and other potential fees. Should You Buy Lucid While It's Below $3?
After a surge of interest, consumer enthusiasm for electric vehicles has fallen of late. Lucid's EVs are expensive, which can make them a harder sell amid higher economic uncertainty. While the company makes great vehicles, it faces too many serious headwinds right now. 10 stocks we like better than Lucid Group › Lucid Group (NASDAQ: LCID) makes some of the best-looking electric vehicles in the U.S. They've won accolades from automotive publications, and offer some of the EV world's longest battery ranges. So you might assume the EV start-up would have a rapidly rising share price to boot. But that's not the case. Lucid's shares have plunged by 86% over the past three years, while the S&P 500 has gained 41%. With its shares trading for less than $3, is Lucid stock a buy now? The least expensive Lucid Air sedan has a starting price of about $70,000, and the only available version of its new Gravity SUV starts at nearly $95,000. That's 18% and 60% more expensive than the average transaction price for a new EV, respectively. Lucid's luxury EVs aren't necessarily for the average buyer, so one could argue that it's fine that they cost so much. The problem is that overall demand for EVs is slowing in the U.S. A recent survey found that only 16% of Americans are interested in buying an EV, down from 21% at this time last year. Their cost is likely a factor. Interest rates remain relatively high and President Trump's tariffs are adding to manufacturers' expenses. Lucid's interim CEO, Marc Winterhoff, said recently that the company's gross margin headwind from those tariffs will be in the range of 8% to 15%. That could eventually push its vehicle prices even higher. Part of the reason why demand for EVs has weakened is that charging infrastructure still is not ubiquitous across the U.S., and it will take years to build it out. President Trump is also hampering that process, as he has paused the distribution of $3 billion in funding that Congress allotted to the states to support their efforts to install more electric vehicle charging stations. Republicans are also trying to eliminate federal EV tax credits that were worth up to $7,500 for new electric vehicle purchases. The version of Trump's "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" that recently passed in the House axed the tax credit; its fate in the Senate is unclear. Lucid's vehicles are now too expensive to qualify for the credit, but the company compensated for that by cutting its sticker prices by $7,500. Automakers' management teams often make decisions on how to invest in their companies based on the political climate. And for Lucid and other EV makers, things just don't look good right now. With President Trump seemingly set against helping the electric vehicle market expand, automakers are on their own in trying to convince the general public to buy their vehicles. The result will likely be fewer incentives to buy EVs and, therefore, less interest among some buyers. While the company has a good product, there are too many uncertainties right now in the EV industry for investors to be bullish about Lucid, or any EV stocks for that matter. I still think EVs are the future of the automotive industry, but it's taking much longer for them to be successful than many people anticipated. The fact of the matter is that Lucid's vehicles are expensive, and in a time when interest rates are elevated compared to what consumers have grown used to, costs are rising because of tariffs, U.S. government supports for the EV industry are being removed, and there's plenty of economic uncertainty ahead, finding interested buyers for them becomes meaningfully harder. That doesn't mean Lucid is doomed, but I think it would be better for potential investors to wait and see how some of these uncertainties and headwinds shake out before buying the company's stock. Is Lucid Group a Millionaire-Maker Stock?
Lucid faces a challenging road ahead, but it is expanding its model lineup. The EV maker is also taking aim at new markets like the Middle East. The stock trades today at less than 5% of its peak price. 10 stocks we like better than Lucid Group › Lucid Group (NASDAQ: LCID) has a stock price of $2.51 and a market capitalization of just $7.7 billion, making it one of the smallest players in the U.S. electric vehicle (EV) space. However, if they exceed the market's expectations, smaller companies have more potential than larger ones to generate multibagger returns -- sometimes even enough to turn their early shareholders into millionaires. For Lucid, that would be easier said than done. The EV maker has been grappling with persistent cash burn, competition, and now the impacts of President Trump's trade wars. So is this mid-cap a buy or a sell today? Lucid stock wasn't always so cheap. In 2021, the company went public via a reverse merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). That same year, it soared to an all-time high of $58 per share. Today, it's down by more than 95% from that peak. The good news is that in the first quarter, Lucid's revenue jumped 36% year over year to $235 million due to a significant jump in vehicle deliveries -- even though its average selling price per vehicle slipped. However, while the growing top line helped it shrink its operating loss by $38 million to $692 million, that's still an alarming level of quarterly cash burn for a company with only $3.6 billion in cash and short-term investments on its balance sheet. Lucid also has a negative gross margin, which means the cost of manufacturing and delivering its vehicles exceeds the revenue it earns by selling them. The only way out of this predicament is to improve economies of scale through new, higher-volume vehicle models. Some of Lucid's problems may stem from its focus on high-end sedans. According to Topspeed, an automotive information magazine, demand for midsize cars has fallen sharply in the U.S. as consumers pivot to categories like trucks, SUVs, and crossovers. Lucid's management aims to respond to that shift in preference by expanding its vehicle lineup. While the Lucid Air is here to stay, it has added the new luxury Gravity SUV, which likely contributed significantly to its first-quarter growth. However, with a starting price of $81,550, the Gravity won't be a magic bullet for Lucid because it is out of reach of most consumers. Investors should expect more impact next year when the company rolls out its next model, a more affordable SUV. The company intends for its sticker price to start below $50,000. International expansion could be another long-term opportunity for Lucid. The company is majority-owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which controls around 60% of its shares. With a GDP per capita of $32,000 and an estimated 58,300 millionaires, the Saudis have plenty of purchasing power to buy luxury vehicles. Lucid opened its first manufacturing facility in that country in 2023. In theory, Lucid Group definitely has millionaire-making potential. Its small market cap, coupled with impressive growth potential in the SUV market, could lead to multibagger returns over the long term. The company delivered just 10,241 vehicles in 2024, which gives it plenty of room to catch up to industry leaders like Tesla, which delivered almost 1.8 million vehicles that year. However, Lucid faces significant risks. Right now, Lucid's cash burn is much too high for comfort. It will likely turn to outside sources of capital, such as additional secondary stock sales. That equity dilution would reduce current shareholders' claims on future earnings. While Lucid's Saudi connection serves as a backstop, it raises the possibility that the company may eventually be taken private. While Lucid should be on your investing watch list, it might make sense to wait and see if the company can make more progress before buying its stock. Before you buy stock in Lucid Group, consider this: The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team just identified what they believe are the for investors to buy now… and Lucid Group wasn't one of them. Lucid Offers Must See Lease Deal on Air for May
If you've ever considered switching from an internal combustion engine vehicle to a fully electric one, and you don't want a Tesla, now might be the perfect time to take a look at Lucid Motors. The Lucid Air, once the brand's only model, is renowned in the industry for its approach to electrification, styling, and luxury. The Newark, California EV manufacturer is now offering substantial discounts on its 2025 Air electric sedans throughout the month of May, with savings of just over $20,000 on select models. The 2025 Lucid Air sedan is a premium EV that's known for its tremendous all-electric range of up to 512 miles, elegant design, and supercar levels of performance. The Lucid Air debuted in the fall of 2021 as a 2022 model, and the car's impressive range capabilities, luxury interior appointments, and high-end in-car technology earned rave reviews from critics. Most notably, though, was what it had under its slinky surface. The company's modular batteries and its electric motors are both smaller and lighter than much of the competition but provide gobs of power. The Air comes in four trims: Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, and the top-of-the-line Sapphire. The Pure is rear-wheel drive only, while the rest of the lineup gets standard all-wheel drive. The Lucid Air's primary competitors are the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT, Tesla Model S, Mercedes-Benz EQS, and the BMW i7. Among these competitors, the Lucid Air Grand Touring has the most range with 512 all-electric miles. Standard features on the Lucid Air Pure include 19-inch 10-spoke aero wheels, adaptive LED headlights, powered and illuminated door handles, power-folding/heated exterior mirrors, synthetic leather upholstery, 12-way power front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, power open/close trunk, ambient lighting, a 34-inch instrument display, 12.5-inch retractable infotainment screen with Wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, and a 9-speaker sound system. It also provides great advanced safety features in its DreamDrive tech suite that includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, park distance warning, 3D surround view monitoring, and adaptive cruise control, just to name a few. Lucid introduced new discounts for the month of May, making the 2025 Air significantly more affordable. The 2025 Lucid Air Touring is available with up to $20,500 in savings with leases starting at just $599 for 36 months. The huge discount includes a $1,000 on-site bonus, a $2,000 conquest offer, a $10,000 Air Credit, and a $7,500 EV credit. Here are the prices and lease discounts for each trim level. Each lease is for 36 months and 10,000 miles per year. Mileage may be increased to 12,000 or 15,000 per year for an additional charge. Lucid Air Pure: MSRP: $69,900 | Lease Discount: -$18,000 | Lease Payment: $579 Lucid Air Touring: MSRP: $78,900 | Lease Discount: -$20,500 | Lease Payment: $599 Lucid Air GT: MSRP: $110,900 | Lease Discount: -$15,500 | Lease Payment: $849 To sweeten the pot, Lucid has bumped up its Tesla trade-in allowance for May, giving customers an additional $4,000 in savings. To take advantage of these lease offers, vehicles must be delivered by May 31, 2025. The Lucid Air has earned its place in the pantheon of EVs. It's famous for its unique and elegant styling, gargantuan interior space, beautiful appointments and technology, comfortably quiet ride, road trip-friendly range, and blistering acceleration. The Air isn't exactly considered an alternative to Tesla but a serious contender against the premium German EV offerings from BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Porsche. All this has been achieved within a couple of years on the market, a remarkable achievement. Of course, with any lease offer, consider all the important details, including the monthly payment cost, taxes, and fees, before signing on the dotted line.
