Luke Littler fails driving theory test for FIFTH time days after World Matchplay victory

Darts world champion Luke Littler has once again failed his driving theory test, having fallen short of the pass mark just two weeks after his last attempt at the test Reigning darts world champion Luke Littler has revealed that he has failed his driving theory test for the fifth time. Littler recently added another trophy to his collection by winning the World Matchplay for the first time earlier this month. ‌ The 18-year-old beat James Wade 18-13 in the final in Blackpool to become just the fifth player in history to have won the Matchplay, Premier League and World Championship, joining Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Luke Humphries. ‌ However, one thing Littler is yet to conquer is his theory test as he shared on Instagram that he had failed to pass it once again. Sharing an image of the results on his story, Littler wrote: "5th time and counting..." ‌ Although Littler did hit the pass mark on hazard perception, scoring 44 out of 75, he failed the multiple choice part of the test by scoring 41 out of 50. To make matters worse, Littler failed the test for a fourth time just two weeks ago. However, on that occasion, he passed the multiple choice part and failed the hazard perception part. It comes after Littler recently revealed he could quit darts and then come out of retirement before he turns 30. Speaking to Mirror Sport, Littler said: "People are thinking, 'How long am I going to do it for?' "But for myself, 10 years' time may come. Hopefully, I've won everything that I've wanted [before I stop] and be financially secure. Then [after stopping] I might get bored in a year or two and come back. "I'd probably say 10-15 years and see where my head's at. There's not enough time to sit back and look at what I've done. ‌ "When I've got a week off, I don't want to be sat down analysing what I've done in the past. I know what I've done, I can see the trophies in my living room. It's about living in the moment." Littler will be back in action next month when he heads Down Under for the Australian Darts Masters and New Zealand Darts Masters, which are both PDC World Series of Darts events.

Luke Littler names his top target for Man United this summer - as fans tell him to 'stick to darts'

Manchester United superfan Luke Littler has named the one player he believes could be transformative for Ruben Amorim 's side. 2025 has been a monumental year for the teenage darts prodigy, beginning with his world championship victory at Alexandra Palace. Littler added to his already impressive list accolades earlier this month by capturing the World Matchplay title - becoming the youngest-ever Triple Crown winner in the process. While success has become almost routine for the 18-year-old sensation, the same could not be said for his beloved football club. Despite the appointment of Amorim, United slumped to their worst-ever Premier League finish and were defeated by Tottenham in the Europa League final. With a new campaign fast approaching United have been proactive in the transfer market with their acquisitions of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Brentford 's Mbeumo. However, according to Littler United should look no further than a former Aston Villa star if they are intent on returning to their best next season. 'I think the main two players that we have got, Mbeumo and Cunha - we wanted them and we've got them,' Littler told Sky Sports. 'But for myself I think Douglas Luiz from Juventus, it would be a no-brainer. Whether you want him sitting, whether you want him attacking, he can do it all.' Littler also claimed United would be well served in looking to Villa Park for other potential new signings. He continued: 'There's rumours that Garnacho could be going to Villa so why not take Watkins off them as well? 'Also Emiliano Martinez is out of contract, it would be a no-brainer.' Despite his love for United, Littler's footballing hot takes were not particularly well received among supporters on social media. One wrote: 'Stick to darts would be my advice.' Littler's football takes received a decidedly negative response from fans on social media A third fan joked: 'Good job he's a darts player', while a fourth added: 'Dudes never watched Luiz.' A Brazilian international, Luiz originally arrived in the Premier League with United's bitter rivals Manchester City after joining the club in 2017. However, the 27-year-old would make a single appearance for the blue side of Manchester, instead spending two seasons on loan at City's sister club Girona after difficulties in obtaining a work permit. In 2019 Luiz joined Aston Villa and went to make more than 200 appearances in all competitions for the club, netting 22 goals.

Luke Littler says he could quit darts before he's 30 as he makes financial admission

New World Matchplay champion Luke Littler says he could play on for another 10-15 years before taking a break from darts, with the teenager having achieved so much already in his short career Luke Littler admits he could QUIT darts and make a comeback before he turns 30. The Nuke, 18, has added another big prize to his burgeoning haul by thrillingly winning the World Matchplay for the first time. ‌ He beat James Wade 18-13 in the final to become the youngest player ever to complete darts' Triple Crown, which also includes the World Championship and the Premier League. Littler has also won the Grand Slam of Darts and the UK Open since bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old at the 2023/24 World Championship. ‌ With time very much on his side, there is speculation that he could threaten the records of Phil Taylor, who won 16 world titles and the same number of World Matchplay crowns. Littler would realistically need to play on for at least 20-odd years to get near the Power's milestones. ‌ However, the Nuke admits he may be ready for a break from the game in a decade's time. He exclusively told Mirror Sport: 'People are thinking, 'How long am I going to do it for?' But for myself, 10 years' time may come." With the success he's enjoyed over the past 18 months, Littler has already made himself a millionaire, while he has already been tipped to earn in excess of £10m in his career if he keeps his head down. Speaking out on his desire in life, Littler continued: "Hopefully, I've won everything that I've wanted [before I stop] and be financially secure. 'Then [after stopping] I might get bored in a year or two and come back. I'd probably say 10-15 years and see where my head's at.' Littler admits he doesn't have time to reflect on his incredible feats of the last year and a half due to his intense schedule, which is set to take him Down Under for the Australian Masters World Series event next week. ‌ He said: 'There's not enough time to sit back and look at what I've done. When I've got a week off, I don't want to be sat down analysing what I've done in the past. 'I know what I've done, I can see the trophies in my living room. It's about living in the moment.' On his increasingly large trophy collection, Littler added: 'Yeah, there's not a lot of room [for trophies]. I think there might have to be some trophy cabinets ordered!' ‌ Littler has teamed up with KP for the 'Nuts for Darts' campaign, which will see one lucky pub win an appearance from the world champion, who will spend an evening at the victorious boozer and throw some arrows with customers. He said: 'We need people to go to their landlords and get them to enter to get an appearance from me in their own pub. It's a brilliant idea by KP.'

Luke Littler fails his driving theory test for a FIFTH time as newly crowned World Matchplay champion reveals results of latest unsuccessful attempt

Luke Littler would be forgiven for believing the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency were behind a grand conspiracy to deny him the chance of driving his dream car - after failing his theory test for a fifth time. The newly crowned World Matchplay champion has been open with his followers on social media about his struggles to learn how to drive. On Wednesday, Littler revealed that he had again failed to make the grade on his theory test and as a result, will be forced to make another attempt to get his licence. In posting a score of 41 out of 50 in the multiple choice section of the exam, the Warrington native was two marks shy of the pass mark. While on the hazard perception section, he scored 44 out of 75 - the mark required to pass that section. Littler should take some heart from the fact that he was only two marks away from finally passing the test, even if his multiple choice score worsened by four points from the last time he sat the test. The 18-year-old accompanied an image of his result with the message: '5th time and counting...' The world champion has previously spoken about his love for the Mercedes A-Class Unfortunately for the darts sensation, the sub-par performance means he'll have to wait a little longer to get behind the wheel of his dream car. After becoming the youngest winner of the World Championship in January, Littler opened up on his love for the Mercedes A-Class. 'Last year I was looking at driving and I loved the Ford Focus, but now I've gone up in the world just a little,' he told reporters. 'I've always loved a Mercedes A-Class. Just a small car.' Littler is still basking in the glory of becoming the youngest player ever to complete darts' prestigious Triple Crown, after beating James Wade to clinch the World Matchplay title. The teenager secured £200,000 in prize money and even confirmed his relationship with his fun-loving beautician girlfriend Faith Millar. His haul was just the latest milestone in a year where he bagged £500,000 for the World Championship and earned in excess of £500,000 from Premier League success, propelling his career earnings to over £1.5 million.
