Benilde makes quick work of LPU to complete second round sweep

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde made quick work of Lyceum of the Philippines University, 25-20, 25-18, 25-12, to complete a second round sweep of the NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball tournament on Friday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
The four-peat-seeking Lady Blazers finished the elimination round on top of the standings with a 16-2 record, while LPU capped its season with an 8-10 record.
In the match that lasted for less than an hour and a half, Zam Nolasco led the Lady Blazers with 12 points from nine attacks and three blocks, while Clydel Catarig and Aya Densing had nine and eight points, respectively.
Johna Dolorito, meanwhile, led the Lady Pirates with 10 points.
Benilde, which has earned a twice-to-beat advantage, will face Mapua University in the Final Four battle on Sunday.
