Controversial Married At First Sight groom Ryan Donnelly shocks fans as he debuts his latest acting role after interim restraining order from TV "bride"
Controversial Married At First Sight groom Ryan Donnelly has shocked fans as he debuted his latest acting gig. It's understood the project manager, 36, has pursued acting amid reports he is unable to find work after Nine's reality hit finished airing in April. On Sunday, the reality star took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of himself dressed as a police officer for a new role. Ryan looked every inch the real-life cop, complete with his faux attire that included a badge, patches, a blue shirt, and a bulletproof vest. "We on," he wrote, along with a screenshot notifying his 19,000 followers his account has been verified with a blue badge. MAFS fan account mafsgossip quickly reshared the new gig along with two other of Ryan's past dress-ups. He could be seen rocking a 70's moustache in one, while the other showed him posing with claws and a white tank top at a festival. Fans flocked to the comments section to say the MAFS star was well suited to the force. "He actually suits it," one person said. "Suits you. It's never too late to join the police force," another person said. It's not the first time the aspiring actor has stunned fans by posing as an officer. In March, one fan took to social media to point out Ryan's cameo appearance in the new BINGE Original Series The Last Anniversary. 'Just watching new series on BINGE, is this who I think it is? It's called The Last Anniversary,' they wrote, along with a screenshot of the star. The Last Anniversary, based on the book of the same title by author Liane Moriarty, is executive produced by Australian A-lister Nicole Kidman. The Campbelltown groom can be seen around 20 minutes into episode one, sporting a white shirt and muli-coloured jacket in an office scene. Ryan confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle he played a 'simple police officer guarding the star patient in that episode'. 'Always amazing fun on sets like those,' he said. The role on BINGE isn't Ryan's first, as he has previously starred in Neighbours and NCIS: Sydney. The 36-year-old also appeared briefly on Nine's Beauty and the Geek in 2022. Earlier this year, he was spotted on the streets of Sydney acting in a major upcoming Hollywood horror film starring American actor Dylan O'Brien. Ryan could be seen strutting across a footpath dressed in a corporate navy blue suit, white shirt and tie for the gig. He was clean-shaven and completed the look with a carry bag and a pair of shiny black dress shoes. Ryan's tumultuous relationship with his on-screen wife Jacqui Burfoot dominated season 12 as the pair frequently fought and made up over seemingly mundane details like having a TV in the couple's bedroom. Jacqui also raised several concerns about Ryan's financial skills and his ability to contribute to their future family. The Kiwi bride suggested his career choice might not be "enough" financially. She later took to TikTok to clarify she raised the concerns about his acting ambitions, not his salary as a project manager. Ryan and Jacqui's rows spilled over into court around the time they dramatically ended their union at Final Vows in April. In March, Jacqui obtained an interim restraining order against Ryan, which prevented him from commenting on social media about her. Ryan subsequently applied for an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) against her. The matter was heard at Campbelltown Court House in April. Magistrate Shane McAnulty told the court he was unwilling to grant the order in Jacqui's absence and asked the parties to prepare submissions for the matter to return to court on Tuesday, June 24. has reached out to Ryan Donnelly for comment.

I turned to OnlyFans after reality TV fame and made £1.1m – but quit stripping off after finding GOD
A REALITY TV star has revealed she's scrapped her OnlyFans career after finding her faith. The E4 personality became "born again in my faith" back in 2024, prompting a huge shift-change in her mindset. 6 6 6 Married At First Sight alum Hayley Vernon, 32, previously told how she had switched careers to a high-class £600-an-hour escort after finding show fame. The former finance broker, who starred in the Australia season in 2020, had also made a staggering £1.1m selling raunchy content on adult website OnlyFans. The brunette previously told how she would always choose her racy job over her jealous boyfriends, as she found her clients "more interesting." The Melbourne beauty is now flogging her old lingerie - which she says she has no need for - as she instead follows God's plan. She detailed the underwear and their sizes as she put: "I used to think that lingerie and dressing a certain way would make me feel empowered. It didn't, it did the opposite. "But I have so many baskets of expensive lingerie that I'm no longer going to need or use." Hayley then clarified: "They are obviously all clean." GOD'S PLAN It came after the TV star's U-turn on her whole life. She previously told her Instagram followers: "I know that God has bigger plans for me than what I'm doing." In a video then posted to social media, Hayley captured herself being baptised in a lake. MAFS star shocks fans as she reveals she's had secret nose job after bitter split on show In her lengthy caption accompanying the scenes she wrote: "'For I know the plans I have for you' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' Jeremiah 29:11." She then added: "Yesterday I was born again in my faith making a public declaration to the outside world based on the inward transformation I have experienced through finding Christ. "My relationship with my faith has changed every aspect of my life. "IYKYN and if you don't when I say EVERY aspect I hand on heart can confirm not one negative has come through finding Christianity, quiet the contrary every corner has levelled up and what wasn't serving me has fallen to the wayside. Mafs couples that have stood the test of time Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home. Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau. Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December. Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: 'I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.' Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019. Owen recalled: 'I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work. "While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in. 'The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I signed up?' 'A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.' Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson. Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong. They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod. Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship." "There isn't enough space or even words to explain the transformative goodness of God. "Every inch of my life has changed for the better, finding my faith has given me a firmer foundation to live my life on. "It's absolutely by far been the best thing that has happened to me. I would have called you crazy if 6 months ago you would have said I'd be here. "But truth be told there has not been one negative only positive areas of improvement- has letting go and being challenged been easy- nope- have I come out better for it? Absolutely." In her new podcast, she told of ditching OF for good and admitted to the MAFS Funny podcast: "The line becomes quite blurred. "You start acting so much and becoming this character that isn't you, that you actually forget to be you. "Then when it comes to interacting in everyday life and normal conversations you actually start getting riddled with anxiety and fear. "Because you're so used to standing on something that is so far removed from who God has called you to be and who you were made to be. "That you just don't have a firm foundation any more." MAFS SCANDAL Hayley brought the drama when she appeared on series seven of the Aussie reality dating show. Truck driver Dave Cannon and Hayley looked as though they were going to get their happy ending. But things got very bizarre when footage emerged of David scrubbing the toilet with Hayley's toothbrush, after it emerged she had kissed co-star Michael Goonan. Hayley was left disgusted and went on to get her revenge by writing stay at the last commitment ceremony. The experts stepped in and made the executive call that the couple should leave. 6 6 6

Love Island's Ekin-Su on Curtis showmance rumours, how she really feels about Davide & THAT bitter feud with MAFS star
BY EK! Love Island's Ekin-Su on Curtis showmance rumours, how she really feels about Davide & THAT bitter feud with MAFS star BELIEVE it or not, for the last 10 years we've been watching beautiful people in bikinis find their type on paper and couple up. So, to celebrate 10 years of Love Island, we had to revisit one of its most iconic stars, Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu. Advertisement 7 To celebrate 10 years of Love Island, we revisited one of its most iconic stars, Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu Credit: Mark Hayman 7 Ekin-Su won Love Island 2022 with Davide Sanclimenti Credit: ITV/Shutterstock The 30 year old won the show in 2022, alongside then-boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, with the highest-ever percentage of the vote. Racking up 4.2m Instagram followers since then, she has gone on to land brand deals with Oh Polly and BPerfect, as well as several reality shows, including her own with Davide. Then, earlier this year, she returned to the villa for Love Island: All Stars, reaching the final with boyfriend Curtis Prichard, 29. Advertisement 'Love Island is where I'm from,' Ekin-Su says. 'It's where I was 'born'. I wasn't impressed with Curtis' treatment of Amy Hart Ekin-Su "It is a very successful show – not only have we had marriages and babies, but so many amazing Islanders, like Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins and other icons. It's been replicated in so many countries, but the UK one will be forever the best. It is an honour to have been a part of such a fun, crazy and fiery show, and the fact I won it means a lot. 'Even now, I say to producers I would go back in, not to find love, but just to enjoy the experience of being in there. There's such excitement in the drama and not having your phone [and contact with the outside world] on this holiday of a lifetime.' Ekin-Su didn't just star on the show – she was a fan before she went in, and, in a weird turn of events, had watched her now-boyfriend, pro dancer Curtis on the show in 2015. 'I watched season five, which had Maura, Molly-Mae and Curtis. I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't impressed with his treatment of Amy [Hart, who he split from after Casa Amor, before going on to date Maura]. Maura was my favourite. She had boundaries. That's what I liked about her.' Advertisement Last year, Ekin-Su told us the only way she'd go back into the villa was if they paid her £5million, because she was worried about 'being cast as the villain'. So, what changed? 'I lied,' she cackles. Ekin-Su snogs Curtis Pritchard as she supports Love Island boyfriend backstage at Misfits boxing match 'No, I'm joking. It was different dynamics. I was more mature. When I first went in, I didn't know what Love Island could bring me. I didn't know how it worked, or what it felt like to be on reality TV. But the second time around was easier – I knew what to expect and felt more calm, so I was more in my element. There were arguments I would have got involved in the first time around that I avoided in All Stars. I didn't want petty fights, but I did have to stand my ground and be strong where needed.' How does she look back at that first series and her time with Davide? 'I've changed a lot. I now think: 'How iconic that we won the show.' I don't hate Davide. Sometimes, I look at the clips of us and I laugh, though that doesn't mean I miss him. But I'm happy for him, I genuinely mean that. He's found someone [he's dating entrepreneur Iris Au] and they look really in love. Two years ago, I probably wouldn't have been able to say that.' Advertisement I don't hate Davide. Sometimes, I look at the clips of us and I laugh, though that doesn't mean I miss him Ekin-Su And was she shocked she coupled up with Curtis, who she's still with six months on? 'I didn't think I'd end up with someone like him. I always go for guys who are a bit like Davide. But I'm older now and I know what didn't work for me. I need someone who suits my personality and is genuinely nice and who lets me shine. 'At the start, people were like: 'Oh, you guys are a showmance,' but it never was. We're both geeks. Although we are not the same, I see myself in him. He's a lovely guy and very peaceful. 'When something feels right, I feel free. That's how I know I'm with the right guy. I feel that with Curtis and I'm happy in myself. I love myself more. Before, I was anxious and felt like I was walking on eggshells. Now, I don't worry if I don't hear from him for a couple of hours. We trust each other. It's a healthy relationship.' Love Islanders tend to move at an accelerated pace in their relationships after leaving the villa. Advertisement But Ekin-Su has learned her lesson and doesn't want to rush it. 7 Ekin-Su with boyfriend Curtis Pritchard Credit: GETTY 7 Ekin-Su and the other Love Island: All Stars Credit: Shuttershock 'We don't live together,' she explains. 'It's not that we are taking it slow, but that's how it should be [in normal dating]. I think you should both live your own lives and then, after a year or so when it's serious, you should look to buy a home together. Then you know it's the real thing.' It's not been all plain sailing for Ekin-Su and Curtis, though. Advertisement Married At First Sight star Georges Berthonneau, 32, claimed that he and Ekin were in a serious, secret 10-month relationship before she went into the villa. He said they'd agreed a set of boundaries, so she could appear on the reality show, before reuniting with him once the show had ended. I think George is just a bitter guy who's hurt, but I wish him the best Ekin-Su Ekin-Su shakes her head and sighs: 'It's just somebody that I've known from the past. I was never in an exclusive relationship with him. I wish him the best. That's all I can say. It was over and we were never a thing. I think he's just a bitter guy who's hurt. Curtis knows about him. I just don't understand why you would even do that, though. Not even my ex, Davide, would speak maliciously about me. And we [she and Georges] weren't a couple. I think he should stop saying my name really. His 10 minutes of fame is over. I just wish him the best.' And while Ekin-Su and Curtis are taking it slowly, they have ticked off some couple milestones, including meeting the family. 'I've met AJ [Curtis' brother] and Zara [Zoffany]. And now they're engaged, so we've got the wedding to look forward to.' Advertisement Are there any wedding plans of her own? 'I want to get married – I've told Curtis straight: 'You need to put a ring on it in two years, otherwise I'm out!' I'm not wasting my youth. Curtis is not a guy to shy away from proposing. He knows what he wants – he asked me to be his girlfriend on Love Island. "If it's going to happen, it's going to happen. We've spoken about getting married – I want kids and so does Curtis. He wants two boys and I'm like: 'What about one girl and one boy?' I think he'd be an amazing dad. I even have baby names, but I'm not going to say them because somebody might steal them! 'But at the moment, we're both enjoying our lives. And when the time's right, the first thing we'll do is an exclusive with Fabulous,' she laughs. I love being on TV – I'm owning saying that now Ekin-Su Before she looks too far into the future, Ekin-Su is keen to book a holiday, because apart from their time in South Africa for All Stars, the pair haven't had a chance to go away together. This is partly because Curtis was preparing for his professional boxing debut. Advertisement 'Boxing is brutal,' she says. 'He's so bruised. I've seen him physically throw up in a bucket. "I kept saying to him: 'Are you not scared about your face?' He was like: 'I'll get a new nose.' I'm like: 'No, babe, you're beautiful.' He's gone from this dancer to beating up a man. It's crazy. 'I know some professional boxers don't see their wives for months. Tyson Fury goes away to camp and just switches off, and that's hard. I guess you just have to be understanding, because I think Curtis will want to keep going and go professional. 'The only negative is we haven't had that honeymoon phase yet,' she says. 7 'Love Island is where I'm from', Ekin-Su says Credit: Mark Hayman Advertisement 7 Last year, Ekin-Su told us the only way she'd go back into the villa was if they paid her £5million Credit: Mark Hayman 7 Since shooting to fame three years ago, Ekin-Su has gone on to appear on Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother, as well as the second series of The Traitors US Credit: Mark Hayman 'We've come out of Love Island and I've been in America and he's been training every day. We haven't had romantic dinners or any wild times together. But now all that is over, we're booking a holiday. I'm sitting there, thinking: 'I'm working really hard every day. These other couples, they're on holidays all the time. What's going on?'' she laughs. Although, one pair who won't be jetting off is Love Island: All Stars winners Gabby Allen, 33, and Casey O'Gorman, 28, who split last month. 'I recently found out they'd broken up and I was like: 'What?' I actually messaged my manager to ask if it was real. I'm shocked, as they won. Maybe it was because of the age gap.' Advertisement I've made mistakes and I've learned from them. Now I just want to be healthy and happy Ekin-Su Since shooting to fame three years ago, Ekin-Su has gone on to appear on Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother, as well as the second series of The Traitors US, which she had an early exit from after being 'murdered' and buried alive. She has some advice for the likes of Stephen Fry, Alan Carr and Clare Balding, who are among the stars appearing in the first UK celebrity series of The Traitors later this year. 'To do well, you have to almost act dumb or stupid, because if you have a game plan, people will think you're a traitor and vote you out. You need to act like you don't know what you're doing. The smart thing is not to appear to be smart,' she says. Ekin-Su's own career continues to go from strength to strength, with Netflix reality show Inside coming up. 'I've manifested my five-year plan to do more TV. I love being on TV and I'm owning saying that now,' she says. 'I'd love to be in the US for six months, then back here.' Advertisement It sounds as if she has her life mapped out. 'I've made mistakes and I've learned from them,' she says. 'Now I just want to be healthy and happy.'
