Ever since the latest offering from the brand under its premium arm 'MG Select' made its presence in the Indian market, it has received both positive and negative responses from customers. Social Media Reaction While some internet users call it the baby of Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival, some call it a pure disaster electric avatar. The potential buyers somehow showed some interest, but said the model could be better if it were ICE or Hybrid. Fails To Impress Masses? Amid all the criticism, it would be interesting to see if the apartment-size MPV will be able to dominate the segment or not. Meanwhile, the EV somehow turn heads in the market with its futuristic design, a big thanks to a boxy design and fully LED treatment at both ends. JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG M9, a full-sized electric limousine, at an introductory price of ₹69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle is available via the company's luxury retail channel, MG Select . The MG M9 is equipped with a 90-kWh NMC battery, offering a claimed range of 548 kilometres under standard test conditions. It produces 245 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. Using a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 30 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes. The M9 comes with both an 11-kW wall-mounted charger and a 3.3-kW portable unit as standard. Safety and features The electric limousine carries certified 5-star safety ratings from both EURO NCAP and ANCAP. It features seven airbags, a high-strength steel body structure, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including driver monitoring. The M9 includes presidential seats with 16-way adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Cabin features include an intelligent control armrest, a 13-speaker audio system with subwoofer, dual sunroofs, 64-colour ambient lighting, and up to 1,720 litres of configurable storage space. A 55-litre front boot (frunk) adds to luggage flexibility. The M9 is offered in three colour options—Pearl Lustre White, Metal Black, and Concrete Grey. Exterior highlights include a trapezoidal mesh grille, split LED headlights with connected DRLs, and a full-width rear LED taillight bar. The vehicle runs on 19-inch ContiSeal self-sealing tyres and features heated ORVMs for better visibility in varied weather conditions. Availability and bookings Bookings for the MG M9 are open with a token amount of ₹1,00,000. Deliveries will commence on 10 August 2025. The vehicle will be available for display and test drives at 14 MG Select Experience Centres across 13 cities.

It gets elements such low low-positioned headlamps, large front and rear overhangs, large connected taillights, etc. Inside the cabin, the MG M9 EV gets a wide range of advanced technology-aided features. It gets a combination of brown with black upholstery across all three rows of seating. The rear occupants get powered captain seats, which is one of the key USP of the EV.
