McTominay celebrates Napoli milestone with club icon and Italian message
Scott McTominay's brace against Torino allowed Napoli to return to the top of the Serie A table with four games remaining, and the Scotsman celebrated the achievement with a club icon in the dressing room. McTominay has already scored 11 goals in Serie A this season, becoming the most prolific Scottish player in Italy's top flight ahead of the late Denis Law, who had netted 10 with Torino in 1961-62. McTominay's brace inspired a 2-0 win over Torino last night, which the ex-Manchester United midfielder celebrated on social media, even posting a picture with club icon Tommaso Starace. Advertisement The latter is the historical Napoli head storekeeper, who has been working at the club for over 45 years. Starace is one of the most popular figures at the club and had an excellent relationship with Diego Armando Maradona. As reported by Il Mattino, Maradona brought Starace to the Argentina camp for the entire 1990 World Cup, which was held in Italy. McTominay posed with Starace and a MOTM award he received after his brace against Torino. The Scotland midfielder also sent a message to Napoli fans on Instagram in Italian: 'Your support is incredible.'

Trio decisive while new signing struggles: Player ratings for Milan-Verona from Italian papers
AC Milan relied on a couple of players to get the win against Hellas Verona last night, as the game was decided by individual brilliance. As always, the newspapers have delivered their player ratings this morning. A few Milan players did well last night, even if the overall performance was average, and these include Santiago Gimenez, Alex Jimenez, Joao Felix, Rafael Leao and so on. In our ratings, we gave the Mexican the MOTM award for the decisive goal. Taking a look at the player ratings handed out by Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport (see photos below), they both agree that Gimenez was one of the best with a rating of 7/10. The former newspaper gave this to Leao as well, naming him the MOTM. The worst according to the newspaper, meanwhile, was Riccardo Sottil with a rating of 5/10 and 5.5/10. It was the winger's full debut for the Rossoneri and while he had one good cross, he struggles aside from that and the rating is certainly justified. 7: Rafael Leao, Santiago Gimenez, Alex Jimenez. 6.5: Tijjani Reijnders, Joao Felix. 6: Matteo Gabbia, Malick Thiaw, Youssouf Fofana, Christian Pulisic. 5.5: Mike Maignan, Kyle Walker, Theo Hernandez, Yunus Musah. 5: Riccardo Sottil. 7: Santiago Gimenez, Alex Jimenez. 6.5: Joao Felix, Rafael Leao. 6: Mike Maignan, Kyle Walker, Matteo Gabbia, Malick Thiaw, Theo Hernandez, Tijjani Reijnders, Christian Pulisic. 5.5: Youssouf Fofana, Yunus Musah, Riccardo Sottil.
