Kelly Clarkson and Natalie Portman react to wearing 'identical' red carpet looks: 'We went to the same store'
Great minds think alike: Kelly Clarkson and Natalie Portman are bonding over their almost identical red-carpet looks. In a preview clip from Tuesday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Grammy-winning host surprised the Star Wars alum with a side-by-side photo comparison of the time that they both wore 'the most identical outfit ever' at two separate MTV award ceremonies in 2002. 'When I was younger, we didn't have stylists,' Portman recalled prior to the photo reveal. 'You could kind of wear whatever you wanted. I would just be like, go to the store with my mom, pick something out. Now it's like a whole big to-do.' Clarkson then explained that she had some 'early red carpet photos' of the pair to showcase, before displaying two snapshots of her and Portman both wearing a white button-down shirt, necklace, blue jeans, and sandals. 'Oh my God!' Portman shouted, bursting into laughter as she stared at the two images. Clarkson cheekily declared, 'We went to the same store with our moms and got the same outfit.' The 'Stronger' singer explained that she was informed of their matching moment by a staff member on her talk show. 'I was like, 'We are almost wearing the most identical outfit ever,'' Clarkson said. 'It was a time, people! We're the same age. But yeah, I just found that so funny. Do you remember what were you doing that day?' Portman correctly identified that she wore the outfit to the MTV Movie Awards in June 2002. The actress presented the category for Best Female Performance alongside her Star Wars costar Ewan McGregor, which went to Nicole Kidman for her role in Baz Luhrmann's 2001 musical, Moulin Rouge. They are one of the most famous couple's in the world of showbiz and over the years David and Victoria Beckham haven't been afraid to experiment with their fashion looks. While he rose to fame on the pitch, the former footballer also has a penchant for looking good and makes sure to always turn heads wherever he goes. Celebrating his 50th birthday on Friday, David's glamorous lifestyle is showing no sign of slowing down and is arguably one of the best-dressed fiftysomethings on the celebrity circuit. From the iconic leather suit, to the bling jewellery, bleach blonde hair and of course THAT sarong, David loves to experiment. And as he marks the big 50 there seems like no better time to take a look back at his great (or not so great) fashion moments. As a showbiz power couple, David and Victoria suffered their fair share of ridicule for their joint clothes choices after they famously used to wear matching outfits back in the late 90s and early 2000s. He previously told Glamour magazine: 'I don't regret anything but that doesn't mean that I don't look back and think "what was I thinking?!" Fans are convinced that Jennifer Garner made a thinly-veiled dig at Blake Lively just months before the It Ends With Us legal war kicked off. Last year, Garner, 53, famously reprised her role as Elektra for the summer blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, which also starred Lively's husband Ryan Reynolds and featured Blake's voice acting as Ladypool. The Marvel film hit theaters at around the same time as Lively and her co-star/director Justin Baldoni 's drama-plagued film It Ends With Us.
