On Friday, May 16, Ashton Kitchen-White, 19, was struck by a red Ford Focus as he was crossing Middleton Ring Road in Leeds. The car failed to stop with police launching a public appeal following the hit and run. Two men later handed themselves in following the police appeal, with both subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. But West Yorkshire Police continued to appeal for information over the whereabouts of a third man, Macauley Martin, from West Lothian. Liam Miller, 24, also from West Lothian, remains in police custody after being arrested at an earlier date. Regan Kemp, 26, from Penzance, has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in relation to the collision and is due to appear in court today.

West Yorkshire Police issued an appeal for information on Tuesday for help tracing three individuals following the death of Ashton Kitchen-White who was knocked down on Ring Road Beeston Park, Middleton, on Friday, May 16. Following the appeal, two individuals, one of which was also based in West Lothian, handed themselves in to police. They have been arrested in connection with death by dangerous driving. However, 26-year-old Macauley Martin from Livingston remains on the run. Detectives are continuing to appeal for information to help trace Martin and anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact 101 quoting Operation Pintford or crime reference 13250275852. Scot wanted in connection with death of aspiring doctor in hit-and-run
Police are searching for a man from Livingston in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in England. Ashton Kitchen-White was killed after being struck by a red Ford Focus at around 10.09pm on Middleton Ring Road near Beeston Park in Leeds on Friday. The car made off from the scene, leaving the 19-year-old to die at the roadside. Investigators issued an appeal for three men to come forward in connection with the incident. Regan Kemp, aged 26, from St Just, Penzance, and Liam Miller, aged 24, from Polbeth, West Lothian, were arrested overnight after handing themselves in to police in their respective areas. Both were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are being returned to West Yorkshire to be interviewed. Urgent appeal to trace three men over fatal Leeds hit-and-run
Police investigating a fatal hit-and-run have named three men wanted in connection with the Kitchen-White, 19, died after he was hit by a red Ford Focus as he crossed Middleton Ring Road, in Beeston Park, Leeds on Yorkshire Police have now named Regan Kemp, from Cornwall, and Macauley Martin and Liam Miller, both from Scotland, as suspects they "urgently want to trace".Appealing for help, Det Ch Insp James Entwistle, said: "Now is clearly not a time for any misguided sense of loyalty to come above the needs of Ashton's heartbroken family." The force said Regan Kemp, 26, was from St Just, Penzance, while Macauley Martin, 26, was from Livingston, West Lothian and Liam Miller, 24, was from Polbeth, West Lothian. They said it was thought each had returned to those areas following the Entwistle said: "We would urge anyone who has seen any of them in their respective areas around Penzance in Cornwall or Livingstone in Scotland, or who has any information that could help to locate them, to contact us immediately."Ashton was clearly a much-loved and popular young man with a bright future ahead of him, and his family have been left absolutely devastated by his death in such sudden and senseless circumstances." Mr Kitchen-White's family said he was "one in a million" and had been about to "embark on his journey to become a doctor at Leeds University".The force said a 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving were now no longer being treated as suspects and had been released from their who witnessed the collision or who may have relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage is asked to contact police.
