CAIRO, May 29 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli underlined on Thursday the importance of stepping up efforts exerted by the Cabinet's Unified Government Complaints System to monitor, receive and deal with citizens' complaints, especially those of humanitarian dimension. He called of diversifying channels of receiving complaints in a bid to ensure swift response. Madbouli made his remarks while reviewing a report prepared by the Unified Government Complaints System on the government's efforts to deal with citizens' complaints in cooperation with different bodies concerned. Director of the Unified Government Complaints System Tarek el Refai said the quick and effective response of the mechanism to citizens' complaints comes as part of the political leadership's directives to secure a decent life to citizens. He expressed thanks to the ministries of education and health for their swift response to citizens' complaints. Established by Presidential Decree No. 314 of 2017, it provides a two-way communication channel between the government and its citizens. The Premier also confirmed ongoing cooperation with China and Russia in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and announced new talks with American firms to establish dedicated industrial zones. Additionally, Madbouli described Egypt as a growing market and a direct route to Arab and African economies. He cited President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's recent meetings with global companies as a clear sign of investor confidence. A new deal with IBM was signed to train 100,000 youth over five years in AI and digital fields, part of a broader push to equip Egyptian workers for the global market. CAIRO, May 28 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli affirmed that the state continues to pursue its approach of maintaining cooperation with partners to ensure the best use of promising opportunities in Egypt's energy sector, serving the mutual interests of all parties. He emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to take necessary measures to ensure this. These statements came during the weekly Cabinet meeting chaired by the premier on Wednesday. He highlighted the recent activities of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, including his meeting two days ago with the delegation of American businessmen participating in the Egypt-US Economic Forum, held in Cairo. The president also met with the president of the US Chamber of Commerce, the chairman of the US-Egypt Business Council, and the chairman of Apache Corporation, in addition to representatives of various American companies. Madbouli noted that during these meetings, President Sisi emphasized Egypt's readiness to collaborate with the US business community and investors in all areas of mutual interest. The president also expressed Egypt's aspiration to establish a US industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, affirming the country's willingness to provide the necessary facilities to American investors. The prime minister reiterated the government's welcoming stance toward US investments, expressing its readiness to offer needed support and remove any obstacles to ensure the success of American companies and investors in Egypt. At the beginning of the Cabinet meeting, the prime minister extended his congratulations to President Sisi, the Egyptian people, members of the government, and all civil servants on the occasion of the beginning of Dhu al-Hijjah and the upcoming Eid al-Adha, praying that the blessed occasion brings prosperity and blessings to Egypt and the entire Arab and Islamic nations. In light of the upcoming Eid holiday, Madbouli emphasized the need for all state agencies and local authorities to be fully prepared, ensuring the provision of various public services during the holiday. He stressed the importance of readying parks, public gardens, tourist sites, and archaeological areas to welcome citizens during the Eid holiday, in addition to the preparedness of utilities and service departments. He underscored the continued operation of markets, exhibitions, and mobile outlets to provide essential and strategic goods to citizens at reasonable prices, particularly through the "One-Day Market" initiative, suggesting its expansion to cover more areas across the governorates. CAIRO, May 25 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Sunday said that more than 1,800 US companies are operating in Egypt, with total US investments exceeding 47 billion dollars over the past two decades. These companies are operating in different sectors, including energy, industry, information technology, financial services, and healthcare, a matter that reflects the strength and vitality of economic relations between Egypt and the US, Madbouli added while delivering a speech at the inaugural session of US-Egypt Policy Leaders Forum 2025. The event is attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania al Mashat and Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk. Attending the forum are also Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi. The forum is also attended by US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg as well as members of the American Chamber of Commerce and the Egypt-US Business Council (EUSBC). Madbouli urged participants to explore the vast investment opportunities available across Egypt's productive sectors, emphasizing that Egypt is not only a market of over 107 million people but also a gateway to Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. CAIRO, May 21 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the government is working on detailed plan for 2030 that goes beyond the IMF program, which concludes by the end of 2026, or early 2027 at most. 'We are looking forward to a national program that does not depend on any other international institution,' the premier added during a news briefing following the cabinet weekly meeting on Wednesday. He noted that the 2030 covers to a set of achievable targets, most prominent among which are sustaining of high growth rates, lowering inflation rates, reducing unemployment, and focusing on the social dimension. In addition, many indicators, including industrial development and advanced technology, will gain the government primary focus over the period ahead, while working for maximizing of the potential of the tourism and ICT industries, and looking forward to optimizing all advanced systems and artificial intelligence tools in all aspects of life, Madbouli said during the press conference. As for the challenges facing the Universal Health Insurance System, Madbouli said the government is considering adding a new governorate with a population of over 5 million to the second phase of the system roll-out, bringing total number of covered governorates to 12. He said the government is keen on ensuring the financial sustainability of the universal health insurance coverage, pointing out that the government did not start with densely populated governorates in order to build a strong financial system from the system's revenues.
