Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Varanasi from August 13
Varanasi: To encourage the display the national flag on govt, semi-govt, private offices and buildings, the district administration will begin 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from Aug 13.
As per CM Yogi Adityanath's instruction for the grand success of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to mark the
Independence Day
, the teams engaged by the district administration will motivate people by distributing 4,75,000 flags for hoisting.
Providing details of the proposed campaign, Chief Development Officer Himanshu Nagpal said that a district-level Tiranga Yatra will start from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith and proceed to Sampurnanand Sanskrit University on Aug 13.
It will be followed by cultural programmes highlighting how Kashi played a significant role in the freedom struggle. Additionally, rallies will be organised from schools.
The CDO said more than 475,000 national flags are being prepared this year. To make this campaign successful, women from National Rural Livelihood Mission self-help groups are preparing 2,25,000 flags, and women associated with DUDA are preparing about 2,50,000 flags.
