Mahindra delivers 10,000 XEV 9e and BE 6 eSUVs in 70 days

Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs have achieved five-star safety ratings at the Bharat NCAP crash tests. Both the electric SUVs secured highest points among Indian EVs in crash tests held at Bharat NCAP. According to Mahindra, the BE 6 can travel up to 535 km on a single charge with the smaller battery and extends its range to a striking 682 km with the larger one. Meanwhile, the XEV 9e is no slouch, promising 542 km and 656 km of range, respectively, depending on the chosen battery configuration. The 59 kWh version delivers 230 bhp, while the 79 kWh version bumps it up to 285 bhp, with 380 Nm of torque consistent across variants. These figures, combined with the rear-wheel drive layout, are geared to provide an engaging driving experience. Mahindra also adds versatility with multiple drive modes: Range, Everyday, and Race, along with Boost for added performance bursts and One-Pedal Drive for seamless urban driving. Here's what is special about the SUV Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e: Pricing and Positioning Mahindra has announced introductory ex-showroom pricing to attract a wide range of customers. 'As of now, we are the fourth largest economy and a USD 4 trillion economy," he stated. Citing IMF data, Subrahmanyam said India today is larger than Japan. Only the US, China, and Germany are currently larger than India. If we adhere to our plans and strategies, within 2.5 to 3 years, we will become the third-largest economy, said Mr. Subrahmanyam. Mahindra and Mahindra has streamlined its popular Thar SUV range in India, discontinuing a total of eight variants, including all convertible top models. With this update, the Thar portfolio now comprises just nine variants, all of which are exclusively offered with a hard discontinued models include the AX(O) and LX convertible top trims, along with the AX 4WD and Earth Edition variants. While official specifications remain under wraps, the upcoming facelift is likely to further bolster the Thar's appeal in India's lifestyle SUV now, buyers have fewer Thar variants to choose from, but with cleaner options and future-ready upgrades on the horizon, Mahindra seems poised to maintain the Thar's dominance in the rugged off-roader Mahindra Thar lineup—which includes the three-door Mahindra Thar and the recently launched five-door Mahindra Thar Roxx—is experiencing strong market demand, crossing the 10,000-unit monthly sales milestone for the first time in April per Mahindra's data, the Thar brand recorded a total of 10,703 units sold in April 2025. Diesel-powered variants dominated the sales with 10,040 units, while petrol versions accounted for just 663 Thar is offered with three engine choices: a 1.5-litre D117 CRDe diesel producing 118PS and 300Nm, a 2.2-litre mHawk 130 CRDe diesel generating 132PS and 300Nm, and a 2.0-litre mStallion 150 TGDi petrol delivering 152PS and 320Nm. Indian automaker, Mahindra and Mahindra has stated to have retailed more than 6,300 units of its born electric SUVs. The Mahindra BE 6 and the XEV 9e both were launched in November 2024. While the deliveries of the electric SUVs began from mid-March 2025 onward. Interestingly, although deliveries of only the top spec, Pack Three versions of the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 have started, deliveries for the second to top variant - Pack Three Select, of both the SUVs will start in June 2025. In the meantime, deliveries for the Pack two variant of both the SUVs will start from July 2025 and deliveries for the Pack One variant, which is the lowest variant for both the models as well as the Pack One Select variant, which is offered only with the BE 6 will start from August 2025 onwards. The Mahindra BE 6 Pack one is priced at ₹18.90 lakh, while the Pack One Above has a price tag of ₹20.50 lakh. Peculiarly, the higher battery pack is only offered with the range-topping Pack Three trim levels of both electric SUVs. In contrast, all the other variants get the lower 59 kWh battery pack.
