But despite the couple ''mutually agreeing to part ways'', they will now co-parent a second baby - despite Cho Seong-hyun ''not agreeing'' with the procedure. The scandal has left the star in hot water with fans who have criticised Lee Si-young for not consulting her ex-husband before using the embryo - dubbing the decision ''extremely selfish''. The 43-year-old announced the news on Instagram, in a now-deleted post, admitting she knows there ''may be many difficulties in the future'' - but ''wants to believe that her choice now is more valuable'', Mail Online reported. ''Eight years ago, when I had my first child, now the most important person in my life, I was not married and filming a drama,'' she wrote as per a translation via TheKTea. ''Back then, I was younger and had many shortcomings. Every time I saw Jung-yoon in my arms, I regretted and blamed myself for the time I spent with anxiety negatively. ''That's why I promised myself that if I ever got another chance, I would never regret it again. I prepared for my second child through IVF during my marriage. ''However, a long time passed without receiving the fertilised embryos, and the topic of divorce naturally came up. ''After all the legal process was sorted out, the five-year frozen embryo storage period was ending, and I had to make a choice. ''Before the disposal date, I decided to have the transplant myself.'' Teen Mom Mackenzie McKee announces pregnancy with twins after IVF journey with fiancé Khesanio Hall She added: ''Although I didn't ask for consent from the the other person, I will bear the full weight of my decision.'' The mum-of-one also expressed how grateful she was for her ''angel'' son, who helped her ''endure her troubled married life''. ''Right now, I am only grateful for the new life that came to me, and I am spending a more peaceful and happy time. ''I will humbly accept any criticism or advice you give me in the future.'' What is IVF? In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a fertility treatment to help women get pregnant. Eggs are fertilised with sperm in a laboratory and the embryo is placed in the womb. A full cycle of IVF takes around three to six weeks to complete. It usually follows six steps, depending on the type of treatment you're having. You use an injection or nasal spray every day for two to three weeks to stop your ovaries producing eggs naturally. You'll have an ultrasound scan to check if the medicine has worked. Once your ovaries are no longer producing eggs, you'll inject yourself every day for two weeks with medicine that increases your egg supply. You'll have tests or scans to check how well it's working. A doctor at the clinic collects your eggs using a needle inserted through your vagina. This takes around 20 minutes and you'll be offered medicine that makes you sleepy (a sedative). Your partner is asked to give a sperm sample in a private room, usually while your eggs are being collected. If you're using donor sperm, it will be ready in the laboratory. The eggs are fertilised with the sperm in a laboratory. The clinic will call you the next day to let you know how many embryos have been made and how many they might be able to use. After a few days, an embryo is put in your womb using a thin tube inserted through your vagina. If you have more than one embryo, your doctor will discuss the risks and benefits of putting in more than one embryo. If any suitable embryos are left over, they may be frozen for future IVF attempts. The clinic will discuss this with you and let you know about any additional costs, such as embryo storage. Source: NHS As per the Korea Times, the former partner confirmed that he will be a present parent, despite not agreeing with the process. ''Although I opposed the second pregnancy, now that the child is coming, I will do my best as a father,'' he told Dispatch. ''Lee and I have continued to communicate for the sake of our first child and we will cooperate regarding the upbringing of both children.'' He was kinda cornered in this situation Critic Social media users were divided - while many were supportive, others were baffled by the legal implications. One critic said: ''Uh I feel like he was kinda cornered in this situation. ''He couldn't really refuse to raise the child because they already have one child together and do you really think they would co-parent one child and not the other??? ''Imagine the child grew up knowing their biologically his but that he refused to parent them. Not to mention public scrutiny. ''It's their life and I try to feel empathy for everyone involved but she shouldn't have the right to unilaterally decide to have a child with his genes lol what type of world is this...'' Another wondered: ''How do you manage to go through IVF without one person consenting? What the hell is he meant to do in this scenario exactly? ''Well the decision has been made. They already have one child with each other, hopefully he will love and care for the 2nd child despite not wanting it in the first place. ''Happy to know he's willing to be involved in the early stages already.'' The couple, who were married for eight years, were both successful in their respectful industries.

Thumbs-Up Emoji Is Now Seen As Rude: Gen Z's Shift In Digital Communication
As the world celebrates World Emoji Day on July 17, a recent report has highlighted how a majority of Gen Zs are "cancelling" the evergreen and all-time favourite thumbs-up emoji, believing it to be rude, passive-aggressive or dismissive. The emoji is seen as a friendly gesture or sign of approval by millennials and Boomers, but Gen Z thinks it is unfriendly, Cosmopolitan recently reported. Gen Zs think that the thumbs-up emoji can give the impression that the sender doesn't want to put in effort to craft a proper response and wants to end a conversation without a proper goodbye. Experts have said that the difference in interpretation can lead to misunderstandings in professional settings, particularly when used in messages between colleagues or managers. In 2024, Mail Online reported that Gen Z are urging people to avoid using the thumbs-up and the crying with laughter face emojis. As quoted, Keith Broni, the editor-in-chief of Emojipedia, said, "As with language, we should address who we are speaking to before sending them an emoji. People from younger generations are trying to avoid the thumbs-up emoji as they see it as passive-aggressive and a low-effort response. A Gen Z demographic might also view the 'slight smile' face as highly performative and slightly passive-aggressive,' added the linguist." Gen Zs are giving preference to emojis like the Heart Emoji and the Sparkle Emoji for warmth and appreciation, and to add a touch of personality and friendliness. They also use colored heart emojis to offer a more casual way to express emotions. The debate around the thumbs-up emoji highlights a generational communication gap. Some of the experts even recommend using direct affirmations like "Sounds good!" or "Thanks, I got it!" in order to avoid misunderstandings and ensure clear communication. Good Grief! Offence now caused by a thumbs up Emoji 👍 How old are Gen Z? I can't believe this article can be representative! — Sandra Weeden (@SandraWeeden) July 22, 2024 @hwinkler4real I just read that Gen Z wants folks to stop using the thumbs up emoji saying it's rude…apparently they've never watched @HappyDays — steven conder (@condersteven) July 15, 2025 World Emoji Day On July 17 The day honours the impact of emojis on digital communication. The day was founded by Jeremy Burge, the creator of Emojipedia, in 2014 to recognise the growing influence of emojis on global communication. The day also highlights the evolution of emojis from simple emoticons to complex symbols of digital communication.

Real Housewives star Denise Richards plans revenge on husband after shock divorce
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards is said to be planning her revenge against Aaron Phypers after he filed for divorce this month Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards is reportedly planning her revenge against husband Aaron Phypers. The 52-year-old filed for divorce from the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen last week and was said to have asked her to cover his living expenses, which total $105,000 per month. It was reported she was blindsided by the divorce papers, with the two 'trying to hurt each other'. Denise, 54 - who played 'Bond girl' Christmas Jones in the James Bond film the World Is Not Enough (1999) - began her relationship with Aaron, 52, back in 2017. The couple married the following year, months after their engagement. He is said to have cited "irreconcilable differences" and lists July 4 as the date of their separation, not long after their seventh wedding anniversary. TMZ reported that according to court documents, obtained by the outlet, he's seeking spousal support from Denise and reportedly has no income of his own. It added that Aaron estimates that his wife is grossing over $250,000 a month - around £185,000 - from OnlyFans, TV, brand deals and appearances. And now, new details emerged from their split, with it being said that the "last thing she wanted was another divorce, so he gave her a divorce". "Aaron wanted to hurt her and he has. Meanwhile, the last thing he wants is to be broke - so she's cutting off his cash flow," a source recently claimed to MailOnline. Her estranged husband hasn't worked since his Malibu wellness centre, Q360 Club, shut down last October. In the filing, he reportedly estimated that they spend $105,000 - around £77,000 - a month on average and that Denise has been covering it. Their monthly spending is said to include $20K on clothes and $15K on eating out, which is around £15,000 and £11,000 respectively. According to People magazine, which is also said to have seen court documents, Aaron has asked to keep their assets and debts as separate property. The request is said to include his power tools, a motorcycle and a sports car. However, a source told MailOnline that Denise, whose acting credits include films like Wild Things (1998), has yet to respond to the filings and told her pals that he hugely overestimated her income and wouldn't be able to meet his demands.

EXCLUSIVE Tourists issued warning over hidden £300 charge in popular European holiday destination as people call it 'disgusting'
Holidaymakers heading to Corfu this summer have been warned of a hidden network charge that could cost them hundreds before they've even stepped out of the airport. Tourists have been left baffled by a 'Welcome to Albania' text message they'd received shortly after touching down at Corfu Airport - despite being on a Greek island. An employee from MailOnline, who recently holidayed at the popular European hotspot, shared a text he'd received upon landing from a service named 'Rate Advice.' It reads: 'Welcome to Albania! Calls, texts and data in Albania are chargeable and do not come out of your standard allowances or UK data add-ons. Roam Beyond data add-ons for this destination are available in the iD Mobile app for as little as GBP5.00. 'If you haven't already purchased a Roam Beyond data add-on, it will cost GBP1.50 per MB. Minutes and texts are not included , and will cost GBP0.60 per text to roam. To protect you from excessive charges, a GBP45.00 roaming data cap is in place.' Though Corfu in the northwestern corner of Greece, it is situated only a short stretch (48.2 km) from Ksamil, a small coastal village in the riviera of Southern Albania. Because of the island's location, the strength of the Albanian mobile phone signals near the coast can cause phones to connect to them automatically, even when the user is in Greece. Some holidaymakers have taken to social media over the summer to warn others of unexpected charges and sky-high phone bills. An employee from MailOnline, who recently holidayed at the popular European hotspot, shared a text he'd received upon landing from a service named 'Rate Advice' Steve Moore, from Chesterfield, shared his experience in the popular Facebook group, We Love Sidari, writing: 'I arrived Sunday, usual welcome text to corfu charges just the same as UK - 2 days later message welcome to Albania this is your charges. 'Wow what a rip off, phoned company and after 45 mins of conversation was told the network must of changed to a different mast. You need to keep an eye on it otherwise it will cost you a lot.' Another Facebook user chimed, 'Only if you go to the east of the island. I did that mistake while on a quad. Using google maps. £128 to drive up road lol,' while a third added, 'We got caught out £298 bill when we got home.' To avoid these charges, travellers are urged to either inform their provider of the situation, turn off 'roaming,' or manually select a Greek network in their phone's settings instead of relying on automatic network selection. One Facebook user suggested: 'All you do is let your phone set it's paired Greek network automatically when you arrive on the island at the airport. 'Once it's selected the correct Greek network, go into your settings and turn OFF "automatically select network". This means your phone will not hunt for or connect to anything else other than your correct Greek network.' They also warned users to 'remember to turn it back on when you get back to UK'. Another urged: 'Just carry on then when you get back tell your provider to do one. You're not gonna pay for a different provider. I did and got all charges stopped,' while a third shared, 'We keep our roaming off at all times and just log into WiFi in bars, hotels, etc.' Some holidaymakers have taken to social media over the summer to warn others of unexpected charges and sky-high phone bills It comes after a travel expert revealed an overlooked phone setting that could end up costing holidaymakers hundreds in unexpected roaming charges. Georgia Brivida, of international SIM provider Sim Local, is urging Brits to switch off the 'autoplay' feature on their phones before boarding their next flight. The setting, she says, could quietly drain data and rack up a significant phone bill - often without users even realising it. She explained: 'Autoplay is a feature that automatically plays videos as you scroll through apps like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, often without you even tapping play.
