Mahmoud Nabavian, Deputy Chairman of the Majles National Security Committee: The U.S. Warned Us in Advance about Israel's Imminent Attacks, as Well as Its Own Bombing of Our Nuclear Sites; the U.S. Su
In a July 14, 2025 interview with Fars News Agency (Iran), Mahmoud Nabavian, Deputy Chairman of the Majles National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said that the Americans coordinated their attack on Iran through backchannels and forewarned Iran about the Israeli strike. He said the U.S. clarified it would not participate in the attack and sought to ensure that Iran would not retaliate against American targets. Nabavian stated that Iran had informed Qatar before attacking the Al-Udeid Base. He said the Qataris responded that they were 'in this together' with Iran and conveyed a message from the Americans suggesting that Iran strike an American airbase in another specific country, a suggestion Iran refused. Nabavian added that Iran went ahead and attacked America's most important base in Qatar and humiliated the U.S. He remarked that the Iranians made it clear they would not agree to a ceasefire before retaliating against the U.S. After Iran's attack on Al-Udeid Base, Nabavian said U.S. Envoy Witkoff contacted the Iranians and conveyed that the U.S. and Israel wanted a ceasefire, claiming this was the 10th or 20th time they had begged for one. He concluded by saying that the Iranian people had stood up to all of NATO and won, stating: 'Victory is inscribed on the foreheads of the Iranian people, and defeat is etched upon the face of global heresy.' Iranian MP Abolfazl Zohrevand: President Pezeshkian's Tucker Carlson Interview Was a 'Catastrophe'; He's Not Worthy of His Office - Why Didn't He Tell Trump He Didn't Have the Right to Attack Iran, to
Iranian MP Abolfazl Zohrevand, who is a member of the Majles National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, criticized President Pezeshkian for his interview with Tucker Carlson in a July 12, 2025 episode of Khate Energy on YouTube. Zohrevand said he felt humiliated by the interview, calling Pezeshkian's positions a 'catastrophe' and declaring him unworthy of the presidency. He criticized Pezeshkian for failing to confront President Trump over his attacks on Iran's nuclear capabilities, his demands for Iranian surrender, and his threats and insults toward Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Zohrevand also denounced Pezeshkian for expressing willingness to negotiate with the U.S. without first demanding an end to American attacks on Iran. He elaborated that Pezeshkian should have read the Iranian constitution, adding: 'I don't know how, despite his oath to defend the constitution and the ideals of the Revolution, he gave such an interview.'

Iranian MP Abolfazl Zohrevand: We Need to Be Able to Produce as Many Nuclear Bombs as We Want in Less Than 24 Hours, and Equip Our Missiles with Tactical Nuclear Warheads
Iranian MP Abolfazl Zohrevand, a member of the Majles National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, stressed the importance of Iran being a threshold nuclear state in a July 9, 2025 episode of Khate Energy on YouTube. He said Iran must be capable of producing as many nuclear bombs as it wants within less than 24 hours, in order to retaliate against enemy actions or threats. Zohrevand said he has always believed Iran needs a form of deterrence. He went on to say that tactical nuclear weapons are not considered weapons of mass destruction, so Iran can equip its missiles with such weapons. He said he is ideologically and religiously opposed to Iran possessing a nuclear bomb or WMDs, but he insisted that Iran must be in a position to respond to a nuclear attack in the shortest possible time, ideally within 48 hours.
