Padmavathi Parinayam begins at Tirumala
Tirupati: Spiritual fervour marked the Padmavathi Parinayam annual festival which began on a colorful note at Tirumala on Tuesday. The three-day annual festival is celebrated with utmost pomp every year. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The Narayanagiri gardens , which is the venue for the Padmavathi Parinayam, was spruced up in all its grandeur. Lord Malayappa Swamy and His two divine consorts were carried in a procession from the Tirumala temple to the Narayanagiri gardens and a series of special rituals were carried out on Tuesday evening. A large number of visiting devotees witnessed the grand spectacle. TTD chairman BR Naidu, additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary and other officials took part.

‘Padmavati Parinayotsavam' to begin from May 6
Elaborate arrangements are in place for the grand conduct of the three-day annual 'Padmavati Srinivasa Parinayotsavam', which will commence from May 6 at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. The event is observed with great pomp at the Parinayotsava Mandapam in the Narayangiri gardens every year. During the festival, Lord Malayappa Swamy will be worshipped on different 'vahanams' — 'Gaja Vahanam' on May 6, 'Aswa Vahanam' on May 7 and culminate with the 'Garuda Vahanam' on May 8, the final day. In connection with the festival, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has cancelled 'Arjita Brahmotsavam' and 'Sahasra Deepalankara sevas' on all the three days.
