Denise Richards says estranged husband Aaron Phypers tried to kill her during marriage in bombshell abuse claims
Denise Richards has been granted a restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, after she accused him of abusing her. In court documents filed on Wednesday, the Wild Things actor details several alleged violent altercations she has had with the Leap actor, including him threatening to kill her and himself if she ever reported him to the cops, according to website TMZ. 'Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack,' Richards reportedly writes in the documents, per Page Six. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, also claims Phypers, 52, bruised her eye during one of his attacks in 2022. At the time, Richards alleges in the documents that she and her ex were at his Malibu, California, workplace, when he 'became paranoid' that the plants he purchased 'contained listening devices'. The mum of three then claims Phypers called her a 'f**king bitch' while hitting her in the eye with the palm of his hand. In another incident, Richards claims Phypers allegedly became violent after she suggested he didn't accompany her on a work trip. 'Aaron grabbed me by the back of my head by my hair and slammed me into the ground and screamed, 'You are not cancelling my flight, I am going with you and I do not trust you,'' she writes in the documents. Richards also included photos of her bruised arms, which she claims came from her estranged husband. Per TMZ, Phypers has been ordered to stay around 100 metres from Richards and her property, including her home and car. Their next restraining order hearing is scheduled for August 8. As Page Six previously reported, Phypers filed for divorce on July 7 after six years of marriage. He listed their separation date as July 4 and cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their split. Phypers also requested that the court grant him spousal support. A source told the Daily Mail last week that Richards and Phypers were 'toxic' and constantly fighting. 'They have been having trouble for some time, but they had a row over the weekend where they basically were like, 'F**k you,' and he marched off to file for divorce,' the insider claimed. Days after filing for divorce, Phypers was seen running errands without his wedding ring on. The reality star and Phypers tied the knot in September 2018.

Michael Madsen's autopsy report has revealed the iconic actor's painful health battle before his shock death aged 67 earlier this month. The Kill Bill star was found 'unresponsive' at his Malibu home on July 3. Madsen was later pronounced dead at the home. Madsen's manager previously claimed that Madsen had died from 'cardiac arrest', with the star's official death certificate revealing this was brought on by cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, and chronic alcoholism. The certificate from the L.A. County Medical Examiner confirms Madsen's body has since been cremated, per TMZ. Coronary artery disease is a condition that causes the arteries that supply blood to the heart to become narrowed or blocked - restricting blood flow to the heart muscle and leading to oxygen deprivation and damage. This disease is the most common type of heart disease and affects one in 20 Americans above the age of 20. It usually develops due to a buildup of plaque (fatty deposits and cholesterol) on the inner walls of the coronary arteries and can cause mild discomfort to severe pressure or squeezing in the chest, which may radiate to the arms, neck, jaw, or back. Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle that affects its size, shape and structure. It affects the heart's ability to pump blood around the body efficiently and can also impact the way electrical signals make the organ beat. Earlier this month Madsen's cardiologist revealed his official cause of death to be heart failure with heart disease and alcoholism named as contributing factors, per NBC LA. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department considers the case closed with no foul play indicated. The death is listed as from natural causes. Madsen's lawyer said the actor - known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill - was battling an alcohol addiction before he tragically died. Hours after his death, obtained photos of Madsen's heartbroken family — including his estranged wife DeAnna — gathering outside his house. A man who looked to be Madsen's son Max, 31, consoled DeAnna while standing in the home's driveway as more family members arrived. Madsen's eldest son Christian, 35, and his youngest son Luke, 19, also appeared to be at the scene. A frequent collaborator of Quentin Tarantino, Madsen starred in films including 1993's Reservoir Dogs (left) and 2003's Kill Bill (right) A statement from the star's representatives to read: 'In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life. 'Madsen was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems. 'Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many.' Madsen was best known for his frequent collaborations with director Quentin Tarantino, starring in Reservoir Dogs (1992), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), The Hateful Eight (2015), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). He also starred in 1997's Donnie Brasco as Sonny Black. Madsen is survived by his five children, estranged wife DeAnna and his actress sister Virginia Madsen. His son Hudson died by suicide in 2022 aged 26. Perry Wander, who has represented the star for 20 years, said the Kill Bill icon had 'many struggles'. 'I just spoke to Michael two days ago,' Wander told Daily Mail, admitting that 'I knew he was not well.' 'Michael was suffering from the effects of alcoholism. He had multiple stints in and out of rehab. He struggled to maintain his sobriety. He was not happy about his life.' Madsen was also facing a crippling legal battle with his estranged wife, which saw the pair fighting over child support and other finances, his lawyer claimed. 'I blame her for putting in the screws over his last years of life,' Wander said, alleging the legal battle, which saw his passport be 'maliciously revoked', impacted his ability to travel and work abroad. 'Michael lived a life of regrets - those regrets being his two marriages,' he added. He was first wed to Georganne LaPiere, half-sister of singer and actress Cher from 1984-1988. He welcomed a daughter named Jessica with Dana Mechling. He was married to Jeannine Bisignano from 1991 to 1995. They have two sons, Christian and Max. In 1996, he married DeAnna. Together they had three sons, Luke, Kalvin and Hudson. His death comes 11 months after his domestic violence case - where he was accused of shoving wife DeAnna - was dismissed due to 'insufficient evidence.' Days later in a statement to THR, Madsen's lawyer Perry Wander insisted that his client was 'not guilty of domestic violence.' A representative for the star confirmed the incident saying: 'It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both.' Madsen filed for divorce from DeAnna in September 2024 - and in court papers obtained by he accused his estranged wife of driving their son to die by suicide 'by her neglect, drinking and alcoholism.' A month later, he issued a regretful Instagram statement apologizing for his claims and denying he had wanted to end their marriage. He said: 'Losing a child is the hardest and most painful experience that can happen in this world. I deeply apologize for not correcting this earlier but I love my wife and our other 4 children and have no desire for divorce or blame. 'She had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to our son. It was a horrible loss and choice that was made for reasons that truly cannot ever be known because the person is gone, I don't think my son is dead , I think he escaped from a life that didn't make sense anymore.' It wasn't Madsen's first brush with the law. In 2022 the Hollywood actor was arrested for trespassing at a luxury house from which he was evicted, reported. It was a $5.3 million Malibu mansion just across the Pacific Coast Highway from La Costa Beach. A source exclusively told at the time: 'Michael had been living at the house since last year, but the lease was in another person's name.' The house was leased out by another person and several thousand dollars were owed in back rent, has learned. His arrest came just a month after his son, US Army Sgt. Hudson Madsen shot himself dead on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where he was stationed with the 25th Infantry Division. Hudson was an Afghan war vet. Hudson's death came a week after his wife Carlie underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her breast. 'I am in shock as my son, whom I just spoke with a few days ago, said he was happy - my last text from him was 'I love you dad,'' he told the Los Angeles Times. 'I didn't see any signs of depression. It's so tragic and sad. I'm just trying to make sense of everything and understand what happened.' Madsen said his son's marriage was 'going strong' and he had recently completed his first tour in the U.S. Army. 'He had typical life challenges that people have with finances, but he wanted a family. He was looking towards his future, so its mind-blowing. I just can't grasp what happened.' Madsen has requested a full military investigation into his son's death. The actor thinks 'the officers and rank and file were shaming' Hudson for wanting therapy. He believes this stopped him from seeking help for mental health issues he had been keeping to himself. In 2019, the actor was axed from a $100,000 role in movie Confessions of a Serial Killer after crashing his Land Rover into a pole and subsequently being arrested for DUI. He was later sentenced to four days in jail. In 2012 he was also arrested for DUI after driving erratically but struck a plea deal that involved attending AA meetings in lieu of more severe punishment. However, after Madsen failed to attend his court ordered Alcoholics Anonymous meetings his probation was revoked. That same year he was arrested at his Malibu home after allegedly getting into a physical fight with his son after catching him smoking marijuana. The actor was being held in jail on $100,000 bail after being charged with child endangerment with cruelty to a child: a felony charge, which means it is considered a crime of high seriousness. He did not face any charges after his arrest for suspected child endangerment.

Nick Nolte showed off his scruffy side when going out to an upscale dinner with some of his top Hollywood male friends. The 84-year-old actor had long gray hair that was combed back and a fuzzy beard. The 48 HRS actor was dressed casually in a light mint green shirt with one pocket that was not buttoned all the way up with no jacket. The Cape Fear star added black slacks and sneakers that appeared comfortable. The Hollywood icon looked healthy with a fresh Malibu tan. He was joined by former costars Josh Brolin, 57, and Sean Penn, 64, at high-end Japanese restaurant Nobu which is on the coast of Malibu and co-owned by Chef Nobuyuki 'Nobu' Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro, and businessman Meir Teper. Sean also sported gray hair as he wore an olive green shirt over a dark blue T-shirt with shiny charcoal gray cargo slacks. White sneakers made him look ready for a power walk. Brolin also was a silver fox with a deep summer tan as he sported a pale beige T-shirt and worn-in blue denim jeans, adding dark brown leather lace-up boots. Nick, Sean and Josh all live in the Malibu area. Nick and Sean worked on the 1997 Oliver Stone-directed movie U Turn with Jennifer Lopez so they have known each other around 30 years. A year later they co-starred in the 1998 movie The Thin Red Line with Jim Caviezel. They also appeared in the 2013 film Gangster Squad with Brolin. Nick and Josh were also seen in scenes together in 1997's Nightwatch. Nick has been in Los Angeles working on the set of his latest project, the Amazon Studios movie Crime 101. The Hollywood veteran was seen seated at a food court clad in a dark gray coat and pants with a button-up charcoal top. The Oscar-nominated actor looked dapper with his hair slicked back. The Omaha, Nebraska-born star was joined on set by his castmate Chris Hemsworth in Southern California, as they are part of an ensemble cast for the Bart Layton crime drama. Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Mark Ruffalo and Monica Barbaro round out the principal cast of the movie. Nolte, who has appeared in comedies such as Tropic Thunder, Down and Out in Beverly Hills and 48 Hrs., was subsequently seen with a production assistant on the set. Corey Hawkins, Tate Donovan, Babak Tafti, Payman Maadi, Deborah Hedwall, Devon Bostick, Matthew Del Negro, Drew Powell and Paul Adelstein are also in the movie, Variety reported last month. The script, which was penned in part by Layton, is based on a novella from Don Winslow, the outlet reported. According to a logline, the plot is based on 'a series of high level jewelry thefts up and down the Pacific Coast Highway that have gone unsolved for years.' The perpetrator of the crimes acts under a protocol called Crime 101, the logline stated, which leaves authorities confused, thinking it is the work of South American cartels. 'Detective Lou Lubesnick's gut says it's the work of just one man,' the logline stated. 'Now the lone-wolf jewel thief is looking for that fabled final last score and Lou breaks all the rules of Crime 101.' Other actors in the motion picture, including Berry and Keoghan have been seen on location for the movie in recent weeks on location for the film in Southern California. Nolte spoke to Business Insider in November of 2022 about what keeps him compelled to remain playing new roles after decades of success in show business. 'I've always had something artistic outside of myself that I can turn to, so I'm still interested in the stories,' Nolte said. 'I don't really know what they are, as there are fewer and fewer of them these days. 'And I don't find the 80s particularly fun because you're falling apart in a way. In legal docs obtained by People, the 54-year-old former Bond Girl claimed the unemployed 52-year-old 'became paranoid' that potted plants he brought into his since-shuttered clinic Q360 Club in Malibu 'contained listening devices' in 2022. Denise alleged this behavior caused Aaron to 'smash' her in the eye with the heel of his palm as she sat on the toilet while screaming 'Give me your f***ing phone,' and the shocking photos of her injury were unearthed Thursday. Richards also accused Phyphers (born Cameron) of uploading her private messages from her phone and laptop onto his laptop as she slept. The Denise Richards and Her Wild Things star recalled: 'Aaron woke me up and screamed at me, "You f***ing bi***! I went into your computer and saw your text messages. You lying bi***!"' Denise has requested her laptop and cell phones be returned to her and she wants the Canadian-American to be prohibited from 'using, delivering, copying, printing, or disclosing' its contents. Richards wants Aaron to pay her legal expenses and any expenses related to the alleged abuse, and she requested that he attend a 52-week batterer intervention program. Phypers must remain 100 yard away from the Illinois-born Cali-raised beauty, her home, vehicle, and place of work until August 8 when they are both due in court.

Two weeks after the longtime friend and manager of died in an ATV accident in Southern California, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office confirmed in a report that her cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries. Her manner of death was determined to be accidental. In the moments before the fatal July 2 incident, the 29-year-old—who was driving a 2013 Polaris four-wheeler—rear-ended a 2016 Mazda sedan in the mountains of Malibu, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told the Daily Mail, before falling off a 350-foot cliff. "It doesn't seem like she was following them," Malibu/Lost Hills Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo explained to the outlet, noting that there were two uninjured females in the car. "I think she just came up on them and then hit the car." "It looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it," he continued, "but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there."
