Justin Tucker faces shocking 10 game ban over off field accusations without legal charge

Most expected a formal hearing and legal process, but instead, the decision came from private talks between the NFL, NFLPA, and Justin Tucker's team. There won't be an appeal, and the suspension is now final. What's confusing for many is that Justin Tucker has strongly denied doing anything wrong, yet still agreed to the punishment. His quiet acceptance has raised new questions about what really happened behind the scenes. Justin Tucker accepted the 10-game NFL suspension after private talks not court action According to a June 26, 2025 report by The Washington Post's Mark Maske, Justin Tucker's 10-game suspension wasn't handed down by a judge or hearing officer. It came after private negotiations involving the NFL, the NFL Players Association, and Justin Tucker's legal team. These talks led to a final agreement, which Justin Tucker signed. Since this was a mutual deal, Justin Tucker is not planning to fight the punishment or appeal it. — chris_ferland (@chris_ferland) Justin Tucker, 35, has denied all wrongdoing from the start. Reports say the case involves misconduct claims during massage sessions, brought up by multiple people. Justin Tucker has not been charged with a crime. But his agreement to sit out 10 games without pay has raised questions. Some believe he took the deal to move forward quickly and avoid a longer punishment that might have followed a public hearing. Justin Tucker's future in the NFL remains uncertain as no teams show interest Justin Tucker was cut by the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason. Since then, no NFL team has signed him. Sources suggest his ongoing legal situation made teams stay away. By accepting the suspension now, Justin Tucker may be trying to clear his name and make himself available once the 10 games are over. NFLPA: We fully support our player members participating in the Olympics

Earlier on Thursday, the league announced that owners will consider a resolution for active players to participate in the 2028 Olympics at next week's spring meeting. The NFLPA has now formally endorsed the idea. 'We fully support our player members participating in the Olympics and taking this opportunity to represent their country on the highest international stage,' the NFLPA said in a statement, via Mark Maske of the Washington Post. It remains to be seen whether or not owners will approve the resolution, which would allow current players to play flag football at the event in Los Angeles. The resolution calls for a maximum of one player per franchise on any Olympic team. While that means only one player per club could be on Team USA, another player from the same NFL franchise could represent a different country.

Washington, D.C., reportedly set to host 2027 NFL Draft as Commanders prepare to return to the city

The NFL Draft is headed to the nation's capital. The league is set to announce Washington, D.C., will host the NFL Draft in 2027, according to Axios and The Washington Post's Mark Maske. The announcement is expected to come Monday at the White House, when commissioner Roger Goodell and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris will meet with President Donald Trump. Specifics of the draft are not yet known, though Axios reported Sunday night the hope is to actually host the draft on the National Mall. The decision to hold the draft in D.C. comes a week after the Commanders unveiled plans to return to the city and the RFK campus they used to play at for decades. The team is set to build a new stadium that will hold approximately 65,000 people and include a roof. The goal is to have the stadium, which will drastically improve the Commanders' chances of hosting a Super Bowl, open by 2030. The Commanders won three Super Bowls when they used to play at RFK Stadium. The team left for Landover, Maryland, before the 1997 season. RFK Stadium has not been used since 2017, and D.C. gained control of the land in December — which helped lead to the Commanders' deal to return to the site. The team is expected to invest about $2.7 billion into the stadium, though the move has yet to be approved by the D.C. Council. The NFL Draft was held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, last month for the first time in history. The draft was previously held in New York for decades before moving around again in 2015. More than 600,000 fans attended the draft over the three days this spring, which is among the most attended drafts in history and roughly double the population of the Green Bay metropolitan area. Pittsburgh is set to host the NFL Draft next year. Denver also submitted a bid to host the draft in 2027. With D.C. getting the nod instead, the Broncos will likely be high on the list in the near future.
