Is Hong Kong v Manchester United on TV? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch friendly
Manchester United 's miserable season will finally reach its end in the second largely meaningless friendly of an unwelcome postseason tour for Ruben Amorim 's side. The tourists suffered a shock defeat to the ASEAN All Stars in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday and have since headed north to take on Hong Kong. A national side ranked 153rd in the world may be strangely confident of victory given how listless and lethargic Manchester United's beleaguered players seemed in Malaysia, with Amorim admitting afterwards that his squad perhaps deserved to be booed. Will there be anything brighter for what should be another strong crowd at the Hong Kong Stadium? Here's everything you need to know. When is Hong Kong vs Manchester United? Hong Kong vs Manchester United is due to kick off at 1pm BST on Friday 30 May at the Hong Kong Stadium. How can I watch it? Viewers in the United Kingdom that wish to tune in to the friendly can do so via MUTV. Harry Maguire, Andre Onana and Diogo Dalot flew to India after the encounter with the ASEAN All Stars on a sponsors' trip, and are thus unavailable for this game. Luke Shaw has also been ruled out by Ruben Amorim, though Matthijs de Ligt, Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee could feature having missed the fixture in Malaysia.

Hong Kong keen to help fragile Manchester United ‘put on a show' in Friday match
Ashley Westwood has said Hong Kong will treat their game against Manchester United on Friday like a training session, with the hosts' priority being to help their illustrious opponents 'put on a show for fans'. United look ripe for the plucking after their timid loss to Asean All-Stars in Malaysia on Wednesday, but Westwood was adamant he harboured no great ambition to inflict more misery on the club he once played for as a youth. Rather, the Englishman said he was content for his team to play the role of 'sparring partners' for stricken United. 'In that we're there to help them put on a good show, not because we're trying to chin anyone,' he clarified. Hong Kong also play Nepal in a friendly next week, before a pivotal Asian Cup qualifier against India at Kai Tak Stadium on June 10. United's Mason Mount takes part in Thursday's open training at Hong Kong Stadium. Photo: Elson Li 'My job is to navigate through these games and peak for India,' Westwood said. Excitement is bubbling up for the Kai Tak clash, with more than 15,000 tickets already sold. Twice that number were expected at Hong Kong Stadium for Manchester United's first visit to the city since 2013.

Man United boss Amorim says it is tough to face team's angry fans around the world
HONG KONG :Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim said his team cannot hide after they were booed off in their defeat in Malaysia ahead of their friendly with Hong Kong on Friday. Three days after they concluded their worst Premier League season with a 15th-placed finish, Amorim's team kicked off their Asian tour with a 1-0 loss to ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur, with many among the 72,000 fans voicing their displeasure. "It's hard to face the fans around the world (after such a poor season)," Amorim told a press conference on Thursday. "(But) it is clear, we cannot hide. "If one thing is really important in this club, we need to face our fans in this moment, and give something to our fans around the globe. We want to do that, but sometimes it's really hard. "We were not really focused in the last game (on Wednesday), everyone can feel it. In that moment I can understand the fans and the players." Harry Maguire, Andre Onana and Diogo Dalot will not feature in Friday's match as they travelled to India instead for a club sponsor event. Amorim also ruled Luke Shaw out. Matthijs de Ligt, Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee did not play in Malaysia, but the Portuguese coach gave them a clean bill of health at Hong Kong Stadium for their final match of the tour. "Of course the team is tired because we flew to Malaysia and with the jet lag we had a game in difficult conditions," Amorim said. "But we are ready to play again and are really happy to be here." Hong Kong's coach Ashley Westwood, a former United academy player, suggested that Amorim's team would have preferred post-season rest over extra games and travel. "If truth be told, no players want to do (a post-season tour), you want to recover," Westwood told reporters. "Most Manchester United players are reporting for international duty on June 2. They probably need this like a hole in the head."

Henderson, Mount & Delap: Gabbiadini on Sunderland transfers
Marco Gabbiadini has joined the list of Sunderland pundits pushing for Jordan Henderson to return to his boyhood club following the Black Cats' promotion to the Premier League. The former striker told BBC Radio Newcastle, "He must be doing okay because he's still in the England squad, isn't he? I haven't seen any film or anything, but he must be doing alright if they're watching him and he's got picked in the next England squad. "It would be a sort of a fairy tale, wouldn't it? And it does happen sometimes," he added. "He's been an outstanding player. He's gone on to be one of the best players in the country at times and win the top trophies, so I think he probably would be an asset. It probably goes a little bit against what the club is all about at the moment, but maybe they will make some exceptions for when we get in the top flight." When asked about realistic options Sunderland could sign this summer, Gabbiadini struggled because of the unknown approach sporting director Kristjaan Speakman will take. Will they continue showing faith in youth, or will Kyril Louis-Dreyfus dig deep into his wealth to try to lure stars to the Stadium of Light? He said: "I think we might be looking for players if we are going to spend - and this is the big question - someone like Mason Mount at Man United, who they've got such a turnover of players and huge numbers and they're looking to change that again this year. "He's a player who's got massive potential, I think. Maybe he hasn't fully reached it. Those kinds of players would be great for us." Sunderland have been the youngest side in the Championship this season and are likely to repeat that feat in the Premier League next season but Gabbiadini would push for some veterans to join the ranks. "Obviously, Mepham's got some Premier League experience. You would think at the back we're not too bad, but I think an influential midfielder and somebody who's a goalscorer, whether that's a 10 or a striker. Obviously we've got Le Fee on a permanent deal now as well." "I think the lad Delap is decent as well if he wanted to stay in the Premier League, but it looks like he's going to get a shot at one of the big clubs, isn't it? "We see it with so many young English players. They go to a Chelsea and you don't see them for a couple of years. "Mason Mount's probably had some injury problems as well, but it's a big group. When you come back from injury, you've got a lot of players in front of you. It does make a lot of sense to me to come to a club where you will start."
