Madonna celebrates father Silvio Ciccone's 94th birthday
Madonna has marked her father Silvio Ciccone's 94th birthday with a heartfelt message. Taking to X on Tuesday, the Material Girl hitmaker shared a photo of her dad eating a piece of cake while surrounded by balloons and a silver cutout of the number "94". In the accompanying message, Madonna insisted Silvio is still "going strong". "Happy Birthday to my Father. Silvio Ciccone, 94 and going strong!! He has survived many wars and many losses in his life and he still has a sense of humor and a strong desire to get out of bed every morning and make the most of his day," she wrote. "Whenever people ask my father when he's going to retire, his answer is always the same. 'I'm going to go until the wheels fall off!!' S.A.M.E." In addition, Madonna posted a montage of photos of her father and other family members, including several of her six children, on Instagram. Reflecting further, the Queen of Pop begged fans to spend time with the more mature people in their lives. "It's a shame we do not live in a world that celebrates knowledge and experience and the wisdom that we can only learn from our elders who have survived for many decades on this planet. We are fixated on youth and physical beauty that ironically teaches us nothing and gives us only momentary gratification," the 66-year-old continued. "Good job, Dad!! I'm proud of you and I know Mom is smiling and happy wherever she is. Thank you for giving me your zero F**KS mentality!" Madonna's mother, also named Madonna Louise Ciccone, died of breast cancer in 1963.

'My mother is the only other person I have ever heard of named Madonna,' she told TIME in 1985. 'I never had trouble with the name ... I went to Catholic schools. And then when I got involved in the music industry, everybody thought I took it as a stage name. So I let them think that ... It's pretty glamorous.' Madonna Louise died of breast cancer at 30 on Dec. 1, 1963, when the singer was 5 years old. Madonna looked absolutely lovely as she left an art gallery in New York City. The 66-year-old Material Girl was not able to use any of the filters she has on her social media portraits as she was caught on the town. But it did not matter, she still looked youthful with a glow. The Borderline singer wore an all black ensemble with black eyeglasses and red lipstick. The star has been accused of doing too many fillers over the years and now those seem to be gone. Fans have questioned Madge's overinflated cheeks and lips as she looks nothing like the did in her Desperately Seeking Susan days. But at the Met Gala in NYC on May 5, she did not looked plumped up. The Holiday singer debuted her new look at the 2025 Met Gala where she showed off a stunning unfiltered look as she wowed in a cream silk Tom Ford suit, designed by Haider Ackermann. Sticking to the event's Tailored for You dress code, the iconic music artist displayed her interpretation in a double-breasted jacket, white shirt, cummerbund and bowtie. The androgynous look was paired with a bold fuchsia lip and smoky eyeliner, while the star puffed on a cigar. The star's un-airbrushed look on the red carpet was welcomed by fans who proclaimed her as the 'GOAT' and 'mother.' The new sighting comes after Madonna's ex-husband Sean Penn, 64, reacted to her saying he is the love of her life on the Louis Theroux Podcast where he slammed their four year marriage. 'While we certainly had more than one heated argument during our marriage, Sean has never struck me, "tied me up" or physically assaulted me, and any report to the contrary is completely outrageous, malicious, reckless and false,' she asserted. The lawsuit eventually ended with a settlement, in which Lee was forced to issue a public apology for his original comments and also had to make a donation to Sean's disaster relief organization CORE.

Listen to article Madonna is bringing her life's story to the screen via Netflix. As per Deadline, the popstar has partnered with the streamer to develop a biographical limited series. Madonna and Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy have boarded the project as executive producers. Deadline reported that the upcoming project has no relation to the Madonna biopic starring Julia Garner that was previously in the works at Universal. It has yet to be confirmed which period of the Material Girl singer's life the limited series will focus on. Garner, who joined the popstar on stage at the Celebration Tour in December 2023, is still rumoured to play Madonna in the new project. Although it is difficult to tell at this stage whether the Frozen singer will be involved in penning the screenplay, she did co-write the proposed feature. "I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer – a human being, trying to make her way in this world," she said in 2020 when the Universal feature was announced. The film, which was put on hold in 2023 due to the singer's world tour, was to follow the early life of the Queen of Pop. As per Variety, actors vying for the role included Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie, and Odessa Young, with singers Bebe Rexha and Sky Ferreira also on the list of contenders. The audition process was said to be "grueling", as the music-heavy production required an actor who could sing and dance. "The focus of this film will always be music," Madonna said. "Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories, and who better to tell it than me? It's essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision."

Trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney pushes Versace apparel in social media posts
Dylan Mulvaney has been promoting luxury clothing brand Versace in social media posts, roughly two years after the transgender influencer's controversial partnership with Bud Light financially hurt the brand. 'I think this is the best I ever looked, I'm pretty sure,' Mulvaney said while twirling in a black Versace dress in a video posted to social media on May 5. Advertisement Mulvaney wore the dress to a star-studded launch party for Versace's new La Vacanza collection in New York City on May 3. The influencer also posted photos posing next to actress Anne Hathaway and tagged Versace. In another video post, Mulvaney posed in the same dress while Madonna's 'Material Girl' played in the background. The influencer lip-synced to a clip of Fran Drescher's character from 'The Nanny' saying, 'This is the one I always pull out when my relationships start to get a little serious.'
