View post: Walmart Is Selling a 'Must-Have' $149 Milwaukee Electric Ratchet for $70, and Shoppers Say It's 'the Greatest' The 2026 Subaru Impreza gets minor updates and a price bump, but discounted 2025 models make a stronger case for value. Somebody is selling the ultimate E46, made using an M5's V10 and pieces of newer M3 and M4 models. It's not cheap, but it is well-priced. The best of many worlds Looking for a well-equipped, comfortable, sporty full-size SUV that's also affordable? Look no further than the Mazda CX-90. The three-row SUV is a head-turner with plenty of power behind its all-wheel drive drivetrain. The spacious interior and comfortable ride extend throughout – even your third-row passengers will love the ride. For August, Mazda has impressive lease deals on its biggest and baddest SUV. Available in gas-powered or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, the gas-powered 2025 Mazda CX-90 lease is $414 per month, with $3,999 due at signing. If you prefer the plug-in hybrid 2025 Mazda CX-90, you can get one for $316 per month lease with $3,999 due at signing with $10,000 in Lease Cash. The gas-powered Mazda CX-70 lease term is 36 months, while the PHEV lease is for 24 months. Mazda's lease offers are available nationwide and are dependent on dealership participation. We advise that you check with your preferred Mazda dealer to ensure they have the vehicle you want and are participating in Mazda's lease program. 2025 Mazda CX-90 — Source: Mazda Can you lease a Mazda CX-90 for zero down at signing? Lease terms are often negotiable, but ultimately depend on the dealership you're working with. Reducing the down payment will increase a leased vehicle's monthly payment, and dealerships can choose to alter lease terms, or simply not accept your offer to put zero down at signing. Putting zero down when signing a lease often increases the monthly payment by around 15-25 percent. 2025 Mazda CX-90 and CX-90 PHEH highlights The Mazda CX-90 is the biggest vehicle in Mazda's lineup, but it doesn't drive like a three-row SUV. Pure Mazda on the outside, the CX-90 has a slightly sloping roofline and aggressive front fascia, hinting that it's as nimble as it is large. The Mazda earns a combined 25 miles per gallon from its 3.3 inline turbo six-cylinder engine, producing up to 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Though not a proper PHEV, the CX-70 has a small electric motor with M Hybrid Boost to optimize performance and increase fuel efficiency. The PHEV Mazda CX-90 has 26 miles of electric range before the same six-cylinder powertrain engages, just enough for short trips. The PHEV CX-70 charges up to 80 percent in 90 minutes when paired with a level 2 charger. The all-wheel drive powertrain has plenty of safety features, too. Lane-keep assist, blind spot warning, cross-traffic warning, and head-on traffic avoidance assist make the CX-90 a NHTSA Top Safety Pick. Mazda CX-90 — Source: Mazda Final thoughts The Mazda CX-90 has won several awards, including being named a Car and Driver Editors' Choice for 2025. It's as sporty and nimble a three-row SUV as you'll find, and doesn't disappoint on any level. To view all lease offers for a 2025 Mazda CX-90, visit the Mazda website. 5 of the Least Reliable Hybrid Cars in 2025
What hybrid cars shouldn't you buy? It's something to know before you invest in something that costs about $40,000 on average, according to The Zebra. Consider This: Check Out: In a recent study, Consumer Reports ranked the most and least reliable 2025 hybrid cars so shoppers know before they drive. They take a look at common problem areas such as brakes, out-of-warranty engines, transmissions, batteries and more. Below are the hybrid cars that were at the bottom of the list that you should steer clear of. Ford F-150 Price: Starts at $37,450 Consumer Reports ranked the Ford F-150 model as the least reliable hybrid vehicle. The report cited its transmission and hybrid battery as problem areas. In addition, drivers might not like the stiff ride that Ford F-150 provides. The 2025 hybrid model already has one recall for the electrical system, which causes a sudden loss of drive power, leading to potential crashes. I Sold My Tesla: Ford Escape Price: Starts at $29,515 Ford was once again under fire with their hybrid model of the Escape. Consumer Reports said the hybrid Escape scored far lower on reliability than the conventionally gas-powered Escape. One issue called out was the lag in the infotainment system, which can be extremely annoying to drivers trying to urgently look at navigation screens or change what they're listening to. Consumer Reports projected the 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid will be less reliable than other new cars on the market. Mazda CX-90 Price: Starts at $49,945 This plug-in hybrid is less reliable than its conventional model. It scored well below average when it came to Consumer Reports' reliability tests and rankings. The transition from electric to gas power was called out as not smooth, and might cause issues for drivers. They predict its reliability will be much less than the average new car. BMW X5 Price: Starts at $73,800 For such a pricey car, Consumer Reports said the BMW X5 plug-in hybrid vehicle scored just average when it came to reliability. Its conventional counterpart scored above average, suggesting that BMW still has to work out some of the kinks when it comes to its X5 hybrid model. Issues with previous models include decreasing range when temperatures dropped and slow charging speeds, according to Electrifying. Lexus NX Price: Starts at $61,140 The Lexus NX plug-in hybrid also only scored average when it came to Consumer Reports' reliability rankings. Consumer Reports cited the brake pedal as a potential issue for the 2025 model, saying it was 'a bit touchy and takes some getting used to.' They also called out the electronic interior door releases, unintuitive gear selector, and low center dash vents as problem areas. Mazda Can't Fix CX-90 Brake Issues, Alleges New Lawsuit
By signing up I agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Policy . You may unsubscribe from email communication at anytime. Noisy, Juddering Brakes Lead To Lawsuit When a problem isn't fixed after multiple attempts, some find that the only course of action they can take is to bring their complaints up the steps of a courthouse. For Daniel Green, a Mazda CX-90 lessee in New York, such a repetitive issue with noisy, juddering brakes has motivated the filing of a lawsuit, according to Green allegedly took his SUV to a dealer when it had just 839 miles on it to resolve 'a loud, high-pitched squeaking noise,' and after reproducing the sound in the workshop, the service technician reportedly greased the brake pads and hardware of the front and rear brakes. Green alleges he was told that his CX-90 was part of a 'Bulletin to have [his] brakes replaced,' but that the noises persisted, so he took the car to a dealership when it had reached 1,127 miles. And still, the irritation would allegedly not stop, despite several more attempts at a repair. Another Chinese automaker is taking the fight to Tesla Watch More Numerous Attempts At Fixing The CX-90 Brakes The lawsuit goes on to allege that Mazda resurfaced all rotors and pads and greased the pads again, and the test drive seemed to show that the issue was gone, but only temporarily; Green reportedly had to make 'several more trips' to Mazda dealers over the squeaky brakes. Mazda allegedly even inspected the wheels, and then it 'disassembled the front and rear brakes, sanded the brake pads with 80 grit sandpaper, cleaned and lubed the slides, and applied pad disc quiet to all pads.' Even after all this, the plaintiff alleges that 'squeaking and juddering' persists, and as a result, he 'is forced to adjust his speed and braking based solely on the vehicle's dangerous braking performance.' The lawsuit claims that all 2024-2025 CX-90 SUVs are defective, citing the 2024 Mazda Service Alert noted at the outset (NHTSA bulletin SA-016/24), which aims to diagnose and resolve 'brake noise, judder, and dragging.' Temporary Fixes Don't Cut It, Alleges Lawsuit According to the lawsuit, Mazda's remedies can cost customers up to $1,500, yet they don't address the root cause of the problem because the automaker allegedly considers this a wear-and-tear issue: 'Given that Mazda refuses to issue a recall or offer a non-temporary fix, Class Members find themselves spending hours of their time and paying out of pocket for repairs that do not resolve the Defect, leaving them driving unsafe vehicles that they cannot afford to replace.' The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and since the issue relates to a bulletin covering multiple cars – Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-5, CX-9, CX-30, CX-50, MX-30, and MX-5 – it may not just be CX-90 owners that will want to keep an eye on how this turns out. Mazda Faces Lawsuit Over Persistent Brake Noise in the 2024 CX-90
In a move that could have significant implications for automakers, the owner of a 2024 Mazda CX-90 has taken legal action against Mazda, alleging the company failed to properly address an ongoing brake noise issue. At the center of the case isn't a complex mechanical failure but a high-pitched brake squeal—loud enough, according to the complaint, to cause public embarrassment and raise serious safety concerns. The plaintiff claims the shrill sound produced when applying the brakes is sudden, jarring, and disruptive, particularly during emergency stops. He argues that it not only undermines confidence in the vehicle but also creates potentially dangerous driving conditions. Early Complaints, Limited Solutions The issue first emerged when the vehicle had covered fewer than 840 miles (1,352 km). Upon visiting the dealership, the owner discovered that the service team was already familiar with the complaint. They initially lubricated the brake pads and calipers, which reduced the noise temporarily. However, the relief didn't last. On subsequent visits, technicians tried further remedies—polishing the rotors and pads, and applying materials meant to dampen sound and vibration. Yet the squealing persisted. Despite multiple repair attempts, the noise kept returning, prompting repeated trips to the dealership. During one of these visits, a technician revealed an internal Mazda technical bulletin from 2024 that acknowledged the problem. But there was no permanent fix—nor an official recall. Legal Action on Grounds of Negligence Frustrated, the owner filed a lawsuit in California, accusing Mazda of negligence and breach of its responsibilities to customers. He contends that Mazda sold a car with a known, unresolved flaw, and that the temporary fixes offered were insufficient. According to the complaint, he spent over $1,500 (5,625 SAR) trying to resolve the issue, with no lasting success. The legal filing claims that Mazda failed to inform customers about the defect and failed to develop or communicate a definitive solution—leading to an ownership experience described as both stressful and unsafe. A Widespread Complaint? Reports from other CX-90 owners suggest this case may not be isolated. Discussions on forums and social media show several drivers have noticed similar brake noise, often likened to 'metal scraping metal.' Some owners say Mazda attributed the sound to typical brake behavior in certain environments or as part of the normal break-in process for new vehicles. Still, critics argue that such explanations fall short, especially when the noise is so loud that it disrupts concentration and contributes to a feeling of instability while driving. From a Service Issue to a Trust Crisis While Brake Noise might seem like a minor annoyance, this case illustrates how seemingly small flaws can damage a brand's credibility. For the affected owner—and many others—what began as a service request has turned into a symbol of frustration, costly repairs, and corporate silence. If Mazda fails to respond with a transparent and lasting resolution, it may face increasing legal pressure, and possibly, a broader recall. What's at stake isn't just noise—it's consumer trust.

Test-Driving The Family-Friendly 2025 Mazda CX-90 In North Carolina
2025 Mazda CX-90 Kristin Shaw During the summer months, North Carolina can be oppressively hot and humid, but it's also lush, green, and packed with things to see and do. That's especially true for Chapel Hill and Durham, part of the research triangle where the University of North Carolina and Duke University are based. While you're visiting the area, you're going to need wheels; why not have one that's comfortable, elegant, and reliable, like the Mazda CX-90? My family and I stayed in Chapel Hill and drove up to the Virginia International Raceway for a session with Teen Driving Solutions for my 15-year-old son. The driving school started at 8 a.m. sharp and finished before 5 p.m. both weekend days, and then we climbed back into the CX-90 to stay in our rental house. Here's what you need to know about the Mazda CX-90 to evaluate its suitability for your family. Mazda CX-90 interior Mazda Mazda's interiors are reliably sleek and beautifully styled. For $60,000, our CX-90 included seating for seven passengers, heated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather steering wheel with paddle shifters, three-zone heating and cooling, and window shades for the second row. Mazda CX-90 Mazda If you're driving the CX-90, you're getting an SUV equipped with radar cruise control with stop and go ability, smart braking support, blind spot monitoring with vehicle exit warning, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist, plus rear seat alert, driver attention alert, and an anti-theft immobilizer system. The CX-90 PHEV is powered by 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor to complete the hybrid system. Use 91 octane fuel, and you'll get 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. While I was driving it, the CX-90 accelerated evenly and easily with no drama. I didn't need to haul a small camper or trailer this time, but if I had, the CX-90 could have towed up to 3,500 pounds. Mazda CX-90 Mazda Standard in every CX-90 PHEV is a 12.3-inch full color center display, wireless phone charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It all works well and phone pairings happen without a hitch. However, the CX-90 still uses Mazda's command control knob in the console to control the system. It has long been my least favorite thing about Mazda vehicles, and I'm looking forward to the day the brand updates to a touchscreen. Mazda has said for several years that it uses the command control knob to help keep the drivers' eyes on the road. I can see the intent, and it's a noble pursuit. For those who own a CX-90, they'll likely set their favorites and carry on without any fuss. TrackOut is a vacation home near the Virginia International Raceway. TrackOut Drive The CX-90 Straight To These Overnight Stays We chose the Hyatt-owned Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill's Meadowmont Village, which is just a few minutes from the blue-festooned campus of UNC. Rizzo Center was a hit with my teen and a good friend of his, as they enjoyed the gym, the basketball court, and the ice cream treats in the freezer on every floor. While we were at the Virginia International Raceway, we rented the TrackOut house five minutes away from the track. This vacation home has eight separate bedrooms, all with full bathrooms en suite, or you can rent out the entire house. It has a full kitchen and motorsports-themed decor, and you can't beat the proximity if you're going to the Teen Driving Solutions advanced driving school or to run some laps in your own car. Don't race the Mazda CX-90 on the track, though. Save those tires for the drive home.
