Danny Jones' emotional chat with wife Georgia as he opens up on 'hurt and trauma'

McFly star and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 winner Danny Jones married his wife Georgia in 2014, and together they have son Cooper McFly star Danny Jones returns to screens tonight in a re-run of Michael McIntyre 's The Wheel, just days after his wife Georgia posted their first photo together in four months. This snap was shared after he had an alleged kiss with his former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins at The Brit Awards earlier this year. ‌ In the picture, Danny and Georgia are seen beaming, as they posed alongside 15 of her relatives for a family photo. The picture appears to quash any doubts about their 11-year marriage, as they continue to remain together. ‌ Just weeks prior to the controversy, the 39-year-old musician gave his most candid interview to date, on the High Performance podcast. In the lengthy discussion, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and his decision to seek professional help, after his father Alan left during his teenage years. ‌ The King of the Jungle met his first therapist at the age of 18, around the time McFly were first making waves in the music industry. Having realised the positive impact therapy had on his mental health, he has pursued his path to healing ever since. Quizzed about his wife's reaction to his personal struggles, he admitted she had her reservations at first, but these changed once he explained his need for it. ‌ "It's just little steps over the years that you do and I think it's the same with healing and the same with dealing. I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say," he shared. "You know, it's great talking to friends, it's great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn't understand why I had to go at first. "She's like, 'Why don't you talk to me? Why can't I help you?' But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and podcasts helped me massively." ‌ Danny said he found particular solace in listening to Mel Robbins, famed for her TEDx talk How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, and business owners who shared his sentiments. "I just related to these people over the years of listening to podcasts and I found it so helpful," he revealed. "That's when I went to my wife and I was like, 'I think I need to go back to therapy', because I had that Ashley guy (one of his therapists) when I was 18, but then I feel like I needed it again. ‌ "And I felt like how many times can my wife hear me talk about this? And I didn't want it to get too much for her." While he is now in an improved mental and emotional state thanks to therapy, Danny said he still occasionally grapples with understanding his feelings. Reflecting on his stint in last year's I'm A Me Out Of Here!, he added: "There's definitely things that I've learned in the jungle, that I need to just talk about, [such as] understanding myself, and understanding my emotions. I still don't do that, because I think understanding my emotions will help me to communicate better. I just need to work on that." Michael McIntyre's The Wheel airs tonight at 7.05pm on BBC One.

Maura Higgins sparks concern as she asks for help with painful health issue

Love Island star Maura Higgins asked her fans for their help as she admitted she was suffering severe pain and couldn't find the time to see a specialist Maura Higgins sparked concerns with her fans after admitting she was struggling with a health condition. ‌ The reality TV star took to Instagram to seek advice from her followers after admitting that her knee is "killing her" and that it felt like it was pulsing. Maura, 34, was seen posing for a selfie with no makeup on and clutching what appeared to be a matcha drink in her hand as he sought assistance from her fans. ‌ The Love Island star wrote, "Don't have the time right now to see a specialist, but if anyone has any recommendations for something I can buy to stop my knee from KILLING please DM me. It feels like there's a pulse inside of it & it's also on running around with the house move has not helped it. (yes my greys are out too, no time for that either." ‌ The update comes after Maura has had a busy week after moving into her £1.25million five-bedroom dream home in Essex. Maura has earned an estimated £3.2 million in the years since she found fame on the ITV dating show back in 2019. And she has splashed the cash on a luxury new home - snapping up a five-bedroom property in the south east of England. The semi-detached house boasts an impressive garden and has huge, floor to ceiling windows that allow plenty of natural light to flood in. ‌ But it seems Maura will need to splash a little more money - as it appears she has little to no furniture in her grand new home. Nonetheless, the TV star shared news that she has moved into the dream home this weekend. On Sunday, the reality star took to Instagram Stories to share a couple of snaps from inside her new pad. She shared a photo from her kitchen looking out to her garden with a vase of flowers, candles, and a bottle of wine visible in the foreground. She wrote alongside the image: "After the busiest few months.... she's finally in." She added a house emoji and a padlock and key emoji - showing she is now a proud home owner. ‌ She shared a second snap showing professional hairdresser Carl Bembridge perched on the top of a kitchen surface and scrolling on his phone. Maura captioned this image, writing: "No chairs yet but he always finds something to sit on." Maura's happy home photos come just a couple of months after she was caught kissing married pop star Danny Jones at an afterparty for the 2025 Brit Awards. The Love Island star and the McFly guitarist sparked controversy as their flirty behaviour was captured despite the fact he has been married to model Georgia Horsley since 2014. Fans blasted Maura and Danny over the scandal and Danny eventually addressed the controversy, issuing a grovelling public apology online. He wrote: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. "I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." Meanwhile, Maura has remained silent on the matter.

Danny Jones and wife Georgia enjoy Oasis date night as they move on from Maura Higgins kiss

McFly star Danny Jones and his wife of almost 11 years, Georgia, went to see Oasis as they get their marriage back on track following his drunken kiss with Love Island's Maura Higgins McFly's Danny Jones seems to be back on track with his wife Georgia Horsley after the couple's 11-year marriage was rocked by Danny's drunken kiss with I'm A Celebrity co-star Maura Higgins. The couple were all smiles as they attended the first of seven Wembley gigs for the Oasis reunion tour. ‌ Mum-of-one Georgia, 38, could be seen in a black and white photo posted on her husband's Instagram Story, which showed her beaming as they made their way from Wembley Stadium. Danny was looking over at her as they shared a laugh between them, showing they've put their rocky patch behind them and have moved on. ‌ They were joined by Danny's mum Kathy, who walked in between the pair in the candid snap. It's been a tough year for the couple, with the news of Danny's drunken BRITS kiss with Love Islander Maura sending shockwaves earlier this year. ‌ Danny, 39, shares seven-year-old son Cooper with his wife, who he married in 2014. The singer and reality star eventually apologised for the incident, with Georgia temporarily moving out of the family home. But lucky for Danny, it appears Georgia was willing to give their marriage another try, although the pair lay low on social media since the video surfaced in March this year. They appeared on Instagram together earlier this week, in a family photo taken in the garden. ‌ Podcast host Georgia shared the photo, writing: "And then there were 17... My family are dotted all over the world so getting all of us together at once is near on impossible which makes days like this even more special. "Cousins, aunties, uncles, parents, husbands, wives, kids… my house was full and my heart happy. Missed you Si." Danny's grovelling apology to his wife was issued two weeks after the clip of him and Maura cosying up at a party after the BRITs went viral. He apologised to his family for his behaviour, writing: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. ‌ "I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately." After taking a break from Danny, Georgia got back to work on the podcast she hosts, alongside Tom Parker's widow, Kelsey. Despite public sympathy for Georgia's situation, the former Miss England winner refused to be "seen as a victim." ‌ A source told The Sun: "Georgia has her head back in work and this year is already shaping up to be very exciting. She has got a fresh deal with Omaze to record social media ads. "Georgia is refusing to be seen as a victim and after everything that happened she wants to crack on and get back out there. She has already done some filming for them and couldn't be more excited about what doors this job could open." ‌ While Georgia and Danny work on their marriage, Maura has remained tight-lipped about the whole situation. A source told Closer earlier this year: "It's been a tough few weeks for Maura. She's mortified and would do anything to erase what happened. She was at complete rock bottom when it all came out. "At the same time, she feels like some of the backlash that's come her way is unjustified. She's saying that she refuses to be labelled as the villain or the sole reason that Danny's marriage is in bits. It just isn't fair for all the blame to be on her."
