Club Brugge left-back may still go to Feyenoord
Feyenoord haven't yet given up on signing Björn Meijer, Feyenoord Transfermarkt claim. Previously, the transfer fell through after the defender's medical. At the beginning of July, Meijer's transfer to De Kuip seemed finalised. An agreement had been reached with Club Brugge for a transfer fee of around six million euros, and a four-year contract was ready in Rotterdam. However, doubts surrounding the player's availability ahead of the preliminary rounds of the Champions League led the Rotterdammers to pull out of the move. The 22-year-old defender underwent a medical. Doubts then reportedly grew, with Meijer not fit enough to play full 90-minute matches in August. In this case, Feyenoord also considered the transfer fee too high to go through with the deal. According to Feyenoord Transfermarkt, a transfer may still happen. 'Feyenoord are reassessing the medical status of Club Brugge left-back Meijer. The left-back's transfer isn't completely off the table yet.' Michigan woman wins nearly $800K on lottery ticket she bought on Fourth of July camping trip
An Oakland County woman turned a Fourth of July camping trip in northern Michigan into a massive payday when she won a nearly $800,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery. The 67-year-old woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, won $792,990 by matching the Fantasy 5 numbers in the July 3 drawing: 08-19-27-31-39. "I went up north on a camping trip for Fourth of July weekend and bought a Fantasy 5 ticket while I was at the store," said the player in a news release. "The next morning, on the Fourth of July, I checked the winning numbers on and was so excited when I found out I won the big jackpot! I told some of the people at the surrounding campsites, so it was fun to celebrate with everyone." The Oakland County resident purchased her winning ticket at the Meijer store in Gaylord. With her winnings, the lucky winner plans to start college funds for her grandchildren, make home repairs and take her family to Disney. Each Fantasy 5 play is $1, and for an extra $1 per play, players can add EZmatch to a ticket, giving players the chance to win $500 instantly. Players can add Double Play to Fantasy 5 tickets for an extra $1 per play, which affords them a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the Double Play drawing, according to the Michigan Lottery. Drawings are held every night at 7:29 p.m. Tickets can be bought until 7:08 p.m. on the day of the drawing.

Popular chocolate treat recalled due to ‘presence of allergen'
Frederik's Dark Chocolate Almonds, sold at Meijer stores, have been recalled due to the potential presence of undeclared cashews, posing a risk to individuals with cashew allergies. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) elevated the recall to a Class II, indicating that consumption may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. The recall affects specific black stand-up pouches and multi-pack boxes of the dark chocolate almonds, with various sell-by dates, sold across six US states. No illnesses have been reported to date, but customers are advised to return the affected products to Meijer for a full refund. This recall comes amidst a notable increase in food product recalls in the US during 2024, with a significant rise in associated illnesses, hospitalisations, and deaths compared to the previous year.
