Daryl and Carol Adventure to Spain in New Trailer For THE WALKING DEAD: DARYL DIXON Season 3 — GeekTyrant
AMC released a fantastic full trailer for the upcoming third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon , featuring returning stars Norman Reedus, and Melissa McBride. The Hall H panel for the series included the creators and stars, and the news that the show will be back for a fourth and final season. In the trailer, we are introduced to a new character played by Stephen Merchant, who tells the pair that he is the last Englishman in England, and he explains that he is still there because he couldn't sail his boat alone. We then get some cool shots of Daryl and Carol sailing through London's iconic Tower Bridge with Merchant's character. They eventually run into a storm that makes them crash onto a beach, and we find the trio in Spain. The synopsis for season 3 notes that Carol and Daryl "continue their journey towards home and the only ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse." Fans were told that season 4 already began production earlier this month, with the eight-episode final season filming in and around Madrid. AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon returns on September 7th. Check out the trailer below:

AMC to kill off The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon after 4th season
The Walking Dead franchise has been reanimated half a dozen times at this point, but another spin-off is finally getting the chance to rest in peace. In a panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, AMC Networks officially announced that it would be putting a bullet in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon's brain after a fourth and final season. The eight-episode finale will begin production this month in Spain. As always, the new season will star Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride as Daryl and Carol, respectively. The actors have been playing these characters for almost two decades at this point, but somehow, they both promise there's more story to tell. 'Daryl Dixon has been an incredible journey. I thank each and every fan who has joined us on this ride. It's been a privilege to build this story for these characters, and we have so much gratitude for how it's been embraced,' Reedus shared in a statement. 'This finale isn't just an ending; it's a celebration of what we've all shared together. Keep carrying that love forward – Daryl's journey is far from over.' Added McBride: 'It has been the thrill of a lifetime to shoot this part of Daryl and Carol's adventure together in Europe and I keep coming back for more of these two characters. There is still so much story left to tell and so much for the fans to look forward to.' Some of that story will occur in Daryl Dixon season three, which is set to premiere on AMC and AMC+ September 7. 'Season three of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon tracks Carol and Daryl as they continue their journey towards home and the ones they love,' a synopsis of the upcoming installment reads. 'As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.' You can follow along on Daryl and Carol's journey—which includes meeting 'the last Englishman in England,' firebombing some Walkers, and endeavoring to kill the King of Spain—in a new trailer below: More from A.V. 'The Walking Dead' stars Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride name the lost characters they'd love to reunite with
"Can they be dead?" Reedus asked while assembling his "TWD" all-star team at EW's Comic-Con studio. Step aside, Nick Fury: Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are ready to assemble their own Avengers-style team of expert zombie hunters. The stars of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon stopped by Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con video studio Saturday to discuss the forthcoming third season of the apocalyptic spinoff series. The duo drew on their considerable experience in the expanded Walking Dead universe when asked by EW Editor-in-Chief Patrick Gomez which characters from the franchise's present and past they would enlist for an ultimate all-star team. "Can they be dead?" Reedus asks, with a wry smile and ideas percolating behind his eyes. "I would have Hershel be the brains behind it, he's way up here, telling us what to do," Reedus offers as his first pick. Scott Wilson played the wise farmer and former veterinarian Hershel Greene from seasons 2-4 of the flagship series, and reprised his role in a season 5 flashback. Hershel was a beacon of reason and clearheaded judgement, tempering some of the more erratic tempers of the group led by Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes. The intrepid Rick is Reedus' second pick, and Reedus is tapping perhaps the most beloved TWD character for his third: "I'd bring back Michonne." Danai Gurari joined the core cast of the original series as the silent but deadly Michonne in season 3, and while she and Rick both survived the full odyssey of the series' 11-season run, Hershel sadly didn't make it. For his final pick, Reedus tentatively asks, "Can I say Rooker? Rooker is the wild card. He's the tornado of the group." Veteran character actor Michael Rooker played Merle Dixon, the brother of Reedus' Daryl, across the first three seasons of TWD. A violent and unpredictable bigot, Merle both perpetrates some of the early seasons' biggest betrayals and submits himself to its biggest (ill-fated) redemption arc. Like Hershel, Merle would have to be reanimated (and perhaps dezombified?) to join Reedus and McBride's Walking Dead Avengers. McBride cosigns the idea of enlisting Merle, calling the character "the one who can go in first to clear the path. Like, 'You go first, clear the path, and then come back — and if you don't come back, we don't go."Since the 2010 premiere of The Walking Dead, the survival horror series adapted by Frank Darabont from the comic series by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore has spawned six spinoffs, with new episodes now only coming from two: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: Dead City. Last year, Walking Dead franchise executive producer Scott M. Gimple, who joined Reedus and McBride in EW's Comic-Con studio this year along with Daryl Dixon executive producer David Zabel, told EW it was his "fervent hope" to be able to reunite characters from across the extended franchise. "We don't have the imminent plan right now," he explained, but insisted that a "foundation has been laid and I really would like to, but it depends on so many factors coming together. So I really hope to, and in my mind I'm planning for it, but along the way you can't count on anything." The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will officially come to an end after its fourth season, leaving Dead City as the last standing spinoff. If Gimple has his eyes on a seventh entry in this twisted saga, perhaps it could finally feature the team-up of fans' the original article on Entertainment Weekly

The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus washes up in a zombie-filled Spain in the first Daryl Dixon season 3 trailer, and it's all a bit Resident Evil 4
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Daryl and Carol are back. The first full trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 has been unveiled at the show's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, and the new Spanish setting is giving serious Resident Evil 4 vibes. In the trailer, which you can watch above, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) are still en route home, and escape apocalyptic London via boat thanks to Stephen Merchant's 'last Englishman in England', only to wash ashore in Solaz del Mar, Spain, after a storm. Not all is well in the Spanish town, though, with the locals offering up their daughters for trucks full of guns – a barbaric practice that globetrotting righter-of-wrongs Daryl Dixon is perfectly placed to put a stop to. OK, so there's no Dr. Salvador revving up a chainsaw, but there's more than a bit of Leon S. Kennedy's American outsider rolling up on an undead-infested rural Spanish town and taking on its self-appointed 'King' to Daryl Dixon's latest conflict. At the same Hall H panel, cast members Reedus and McBride, alongside producer Scott M. Gimple, and showrunner David Zabel, also announced that the show has been renewed for a fourth and final season, with production set to kick off in Spain later this month. It's been a busy few weeks for Walking Dead news. Earlier this month, Negan and Maggie-centric spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City was renewed for a third season. Meanwhile, an unscripted horror series called Guts & Glory, from Walking Dead effects wizard Greg Nicotero, where contestants try to survive an 'immersive horror experience full of unexpected challenges,' was also announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 premieres on AMC and AMC+ on September 7 in the US, and releases on September 11 in the UK.
