By Aditya Bhagchandani Published on June 6, 2025, 12:24 IST Shares of Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd may remain in focus after the company announced it has secured an order for 2,500 units of its flagship Wolf+ electric scooter from SpeedforcEV. The scooters will be deployed across key Indian cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Pune, marking a major step in the company's expansion into the urban mobility and last-mile delivery segment. Direct flights from Christchurch to Adelaide coming
Photo: Christchurch Airport For the first time ever, Air New Zealand will operate direct flights from Christchurch to Adelaide twice a week this summer. The flight will leave Christchurch every Friday and Monday from October 27 to March 28. The flights will depart Christchurch in the early evening and arrive in Adelaide in the late evening, with the return service leaving Adelaide the following morning and touching down in Christchurch afternoon. The service will provide more than 15,000 seats across the summer season. Christchurch and Adelaide have officially been sister cities for over 50 years and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2022 to deepen ties across tourism, trade, education and culture. Christchurch Airport chief executive Justin Watson said the route will add strength to the airport's growing network "This service is another fabulous addition to our trans-Tasman network. It builds on a strong civic and regional connection and supports more Kiwis and Aussies to explore each other's backyards all year round." Christchurch Mayor Phil Mauger said the announcement was another milestone in the long friendship between the two cities. "Adelaide and Christchurch are sister cities with shared values and strong ties. With over 50 years of formal connection behind us, this new service is awesome, it opens the door to even more exchange, tourism and opportunity.' Adelaide Airport managing director Brenton Cox also welcomed the move. "We're delighted that Air New Zealand has recognised the strong pent-up demand between Adelaide and Christchurch," he said. 'Our data shows that close to 50,000 passengers are travelling indirectly between Adelaide and the South Island each year, with a relatively even split of inbound and outbound travel, so we're confident that there will be significant interest in this new service. The majority of travellers between Adelaide and New Zealand are either on holiday or visiting family and relatives. 'We have no doubt a non-stop service to Christchurch will prove attractive to South Australians. The announcement rounds off a bumper few weeks for Christchurch Airport following Qantas's decision to increase capacity on its Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne routes, Singapore Airlines boosting international summer connectivity, and Air New Zealand's jet service addition to the Christchurch–Hamilton route. Air New Zealand also announced 36 new flights between Auckland and Christchurch between June and October, adding 14,600 seats to their schedule. Medvedev says Russia seeks victory, not compromise, in talks with Ukraine
FILE PHOTO: Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev talks to Vietnamese General Secretary, President Nguyen Phu Trong (not pictured) during their meeting at the Party's headquarter in Hanoi, Vietnam November 19, 2018. Luong Thai Linh/Pool via REUTERS/File Photo MOSCOW (Reuters) -Senior Russian security official Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday that the point of holding peace talks with Ukraine was to ensure a swift and complete Russian victory. "The Istanbul talks are not for striking a compromise peace on someone else's delusional terms but for ensuring our swift victory and the complete destruction of the neo-Nazi regime," the hawkish deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council said on Telegram. "That's what the Russian Memorandum published yesterday is about." Medvedev was referring to a set of Russian demands presented to Ukraine at talks in Istanbul on Monday. They included handing over more territory, becoming a neutral country, accepting limits on the size of the Ukrainian army and holding new parliamentary and presidential elections. At the talks, which lasted only an hour, the two sides agreed on a new prisoner-of-war swap and an exchange of 12,000 dead soldiers, but not on the ceasefire that Ukraine and its allies are pressing Russia to accept. Medvedev added, in an apparent response to Ukraine's weekend strikes on Russian strategic bomber bases, that Moscow would take revenge. "Retribution is inevitable," he said. "Our Army is pushing forward and will continue to advance. Everything that needs to be blown up will be blown up, and those who must be eliminated will be." 'Red tape': Trump admin unleashes DOGE-aligned process to fire federal workers for misconduct
FIRST ON FOX: The Trump administration has rolled out a new rule with the aim of making it easier to terminate federal employees for serious misconduct by cutting through the red tape that currently impedes that process. "The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is proposing amendments to the Federal Government personnel vetting adjudicative processes for determining suitability and taking suitability actions," the rule, which went live for public comment on Monday morning, states. "The purpose of the proposed rule is to improve the efficiency, rigor and timeliness by which OPM and agencies vet individuals for risk to the integrity and efficiency of the service, and to make clear that individuals who engage in serious misconduct while employed in Federal service are subject to the same suitability procedures and actions as applicants for employment." OPM says its new rule is part of President Trump's "Implementing the Department of Government Efficiency Workforce Optimization Initiative" as well as the Presidential Memorandum, "Strengthening the Suitability and Fitness of the Federal Workforce." Unfinished Business: The Budget Cuts Musk Couldn't Complete And What's Next For Doge OPM explains that the new rule will allow the federal government to take action against employees who engage in misconduct after being hired, giving agencies "broader authority" to "flag conduct" including tax evasion, leaking of sensitive information, and other behavior "inconsistent with the public trust." Read On The Fox News App "For too long, agencies have faced red tape when trying to remove employees who break the public's trust," OPM's Acting Director, Chuck Ezell, told Fox News Digital. Flashback: Top Five Wildest Moments From Elon Musk's Doge Tenure As It Comes To An End "This proposed rule ensures misconduct is met with consequence and reinforces that public service is a privilege, not a right." Under the new rule, federal agencies will be able to refer specific cases to OPM requesting "suitability action" for employees who are believed to have committed post-appointment conduct that deserves disciplinary action. Fox News Digital reported in 2023 that under current law, the vast majority of the federal workforce is not at-will and may only be terminated for misconduct, poor performance, medical inability and reduction in force. Federal employees are also entitled to sweeping due process rights when fired which can create a cumbersome process for agencies to remove a article source: 'Red tape': Trump admin unleashes DOGE-aligned process to fire federal workers for misconduct
