Christopher Diwata takes his 'What hafen Vella?' trend up a notch on Abi Marquez's TikTok
Just when you thought the "What hafen Vella?" trend couldn't get any bigger, here comes the man himself Christopher Diwata to turn it up a notch. In Abi Marquez's TikTok video, Christopher not only made an appearance, he also proceeded to sing lines from Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years," which was used as the official soundtrack of the films. Even better: The guy was having fun and enjoying himself. This isn't the first time Christopher doubled-down on the Twilight references. He previously sang the song with Ben&Ben, who is just one of the many celebrities riding on his trend, among them Michael Sager, Anjo Petierra, and SB19. He's landed several endorsements as well, which he said is allowing him to pay off debts and support his family. "Kahit maliit man 'yan, tatanggapin ko 'yan. Iga-grab ko 'yan kahit maliit. Sana sa mga nag-aalala sa akin, huwag niyong intindihin 'yun at mas maganda 'yung meron kaysa sa wala," Christopher told GMA News Online in an interview. 'What haffen Vella?' Cristopher Diwata to appear on 'Mga Batang Riles'
"What haffen Riles?" Cristopher Diwata, aka the Taylor Lautner lookalike who is trending for his "What haffen Vella?" lines, is all set to appear on "Mga Batang Riles." GMA Drama teased Cristopher's appearance with him wearing an all-black outfit, similar to his trending look, and carrying a bat. "Wat haffen, Riles? Y U fightin' again? Victors, ryt?" the poster said, referencing the now-iconic lines. "Paparating na siya sa riles!" More details about Cristopher's role are yet to be revealed. Cristopher joined the "It's Showtime" segment "Kalokalike" in 2013 as Taylor Lautner's "Twilight" character, Jacob Black. Over a decade later, Cristopher's clip resurfaced, causing him to go viral again and stamp his place in the Philippine internet's hall of fame for memes. Recently, Cristopher has collaborated with several brands and Filipino artists, such as Ben&Ben, SB19, Michael Sager, and Anjo Perterria. 'Mga Batang Riles' stars turn sentimental, share they'll miss each other as series nears end
"Mga Batang Riles" is nearing its end and its stars Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy De Santos, Anton Vinzon, Raheel Bhyria, and Bruce Roeland are definitely feeling it. In Lhar Santiago's report in "24 Oras" Tuesday, the cast members turned sentimental as they shared how much they would miss each other. The stars have been working together for a year, beginning with their acting workshops and action training up to the taping of the series. "Nalungkot agad po ako nung nalaman kong malapit na magtapos kasi wala lang, parang bumalik sa 'kin 'yung mga memories ng mga nagawa namin from the start," said Miguel. Kokoy also shared that he is not ready for their bond to end. "'Di pa ko ready na matapos 'tong ganitong klaseng pagsasama kasi syempre alam ko pagkatapos nito magkikita-kita pa rin pero syempre iba pa rin 'yung samahan neto na nasa set kayo, 'yung mga ganap niyo during, after," he said. Anton, for his part, said it hurts that the series is ending because he has found his true brothers in Miguel, Kokoy, Raheel, and Bruce. "Masakit kasi nakasama ko na 'yung mga totoong brothers ko. Mga one year na kami magkasama kaya kahit minsan-minsan na lang kami magkikita andun pa rin 'yung samahan naming magtropa," he said. Raheel added that he cannot help but think how their days together are becoming less, while Bruce said it has not sunk in yet for him that the series is about to end. After "Mga Batang Riles" ends, Miguel shared that all the cast members plan to travel out of the country together, although they have yet to book any flights. For now, the Riles Boys are focused on shooting their action scenes for the last few weeks of the series. Fans have a lot to look forward to from the characters of Kidlat (Miguel), Kulot (Kokoy), Sig (Raheel), and Dagul (Anton), as well as Matos (Bruce), who is out to seek revenge against them. Zephanie has released the music video for her new song "Kunwari Lang" which featured Miguel Tanfelix, and boy their chemistry is to the roof! In the four-minute music video, the "Mga Batang Riles" stars portrayed characters who are seemingly in love with each other. The music video featured some meet-cute and kilig moments between the two. In an Instagram post, Zephanie shared some behind the scenes from the music video which showed their undeniable chemistry. In "Mga Batang Riles," Miguel portrays the role of Kidlat, while Zephanie plays his love interest Mutya. "Mga Batang Riles" follows the townspeople of Sitio Liwanag, who will do what it takes to keep their homes and fight for their rights against the rich Victor family, who own a realty company and want to take the land to create a modern complex. Aside from Miguel and Zephanie, the series also stars Raheel Bhryria (Sig), Anton Vinzon (Dagul), Kokoy De Santos (Kulot), Bruce Roeland (Matos), and Jillian Ward (Lady), among others. Jillian Ward has shed light on her status with her "Mga Batang Riles" co-star Raheel Bhyria, sharing that they are "very good friends." In Lhar Santiago's report in "24 Oras" Thursday, the Sparkle star said that she is aware of the fans who ship them together. "Oo nga po, nakikita ko 'yung mga edits nila sa TikTok and syempre happy rin po kaming dalawa kasi 'yun nga nagsama kami ulit after 'Abot-Kamay na Pangarap' and feeling ko mas close kami ngayon," she said.
