These are our editors' favorite cheap sandals that don't give them blisters
Anyone who's purchased a throwaway pair of cheap sandals at a beachside convenience store knows how flimsy and uncomfortable bargain flip-flops can be. But after asking editors for their favorite cheap sandals, I'm convinced it's possible to find an affordable, foot-friendly pair that also meets your summer fashion needs. Ahead, you'll find proof. After pestering CNN Underscored staffers, I put together a list of our editors' favorite cheap sandals under $100. This list has something for everyone, including stylish sandals for men, chic sandals for women and walking sandals for all-day wear. Teva Women's Hydratrek Sandals These Teva sandals got me through the most humid conditions, the gnarliest beaches and the most barefoot-unfriendly snorkeling experiences. At only $85, these robust and comfortable sandals from Teva went a long way, keeping me upright when traversing muddy terrain and protecting my feet from sharp coral. They're also surprisingly swim-friendly. I swam from boat to shore in them without issue. And after everything I put them through for two weeks, they still look new. Truly impressed! — Michelle Rae Uy, testing and updates writer FitFlop Women's iQushion Ergonomic Flip-Flops These may look like your classic flip-flops, but they are by far the most comfortable and supportive sandals I've ever owned. They hug your entire foot and provide arch support, and after countless trips to the beach this summer, there are no blisters to be had! — Molly Flores, photo editor Crocs Getaway Toe-Loop Platform Sandals I tested a bunch of Crocs sandals this spring, and this cushy pair became my favorite of the bunch. They have a reasonable platform height that feels stable and supportive. In fact, the supersoft Croslite footbeds keep my feet comfortable all day long, whether I'm walking around the city or heading out to the beach. I think the asymmetrical straps also make them look far dressier than you'd expect from Crocs. — Sophie Shaw, fashion and beauty editorRead our review Teva Women's Original Universal Sandals The Teva Original Universal Sandals have been a staple in my closet, helping me dress for a variety of occasions. Whether I'm at the beach, hiking with friends or dressing them up with a jumpsuit, these sandals have added comfort and color to my spring and summer wardrobes. With plenty of wear and tear on my current ones, these sandals are the durable and dependable footwear I go to when I'm looking for efficient sandals that won't hurt my feet. Plus, they're lightweight and small enough to fit in my carry-on bags for quick trips or when I'm on the go. — Madison Yerke, digital content strategist Hari Mari Meadows Flip-Flops These soft leather flip-flops are coming with me to the coast this summer. They have a minimalist design, and I love the neutral Dove color. My feet usually have to adjust to wearing flip-flops and other sandals with a toe post, but these were comfortable right away. The memory foam and rubber soles also help. I feel totally confident wearing these to the boardwalk and beach, and don't have to worry too much about sand and salt water; they're easy to wipe clean. The brand also makes waterproof styles if you're planning on submerging your feet. — Sophie Shaw, fashion and beauty editor Reef Women's Cushion Rem Hi Sandals I absolutely love these boho-inspired platform sandals from Reef. On top of the eco-friendly materials, these are just plain comfortable. I can wear them for hours and walk miles without getting blisters or sore feet. And if you're short like me, the extra height is a bonus! — Lindsey Smith, newsletter editor Havaianas Slim Square Logo Pop Up Flip-Flops With thin straps and a squared toe, these sandals somehow feel chicer than your typical foam flip-flops. They're great for the beach, take up virtually no space in a suitcase or tote bag and are easy to clean. Plus, they feel high quality, and I've never busted the straps (a common problem with other cheaper flip-flops I've owned … looking at you, Old Navy). — Sophie Shaw, fashion and beauty editor Palladium Women's Revolt Sandals Mono I recently purchased these sandals because I needed a pair to bring on my trip to Greece. I have not been disappointed by them! The quality of the shoe itself is great, and the straps provide security around the heel if you plan to walk in them for a while. They also come in a couple different colors and have a slight platform if that's something that you like in your shoes. I've been recommending these to everyone! — Tess Eberhardt, former editorial coordinatorReef Men's Drift Classic Sandals Technically these are men's sandals, but anyone can wear them. Unlike most sandals, these Drift Classics have great arch support that won't make your feet ache, and the soft straps don't leave red marks on your feet. — Lindsey Smith, newsletter editor Chaco Women's ZX/2 Cloud Sandals I've had the same pair of Chacos for nine years. They've taken me on hikes, beach walks, city strolls and more, across the world. They're sturdy, comfortable, waterproof and easy to clean. During the summertime, they're my go-to activity sandal. The straps can take some time to adjust to your perfect fit, but once they do, your feet will be supported and ready for any terrain. Plus, they come in lots of colors and you're likely to find a great deal! — Sophie Shaw, fashion and beauty editor Oofos Women's Ooahh Slide Sandals I will say it up front: These slides are not cute. They are, however, the most comfortable sandals you will ever put on your feet. Oofos specially makes shoes for post-workout recovery — its proprietary OOfoam technology absorbs 37% more impact than traditional foam footwear — but they're so delightfully supportive and squishy, that I throw them on even on days when I skipped the gym. After a few wears, looks suddenly don't seem to matter much at all. — Chelsea Stone, editorial director Birkenstock Women's Arizona Essentials EVA Sandals It may not be original, but I do love my Birks. And these Arizona Essentials made from waterproof EVA are super comfortable. I can wear them to the beach, then pair them with a sundress for poolside cocktails. And, being a New Yorker, I can walk my many blocks with nary a blister. And though Birkenstocks can be pricey, especially now that there is a line to get into the Soho store every weekend, I was thrilled that they cost $50. — Tobey Grumet Segal, former health, fitness and food editorRead our review Nike Women's Victori One Slides Despite what their name would lead you to believe, these Nike slides do not slide off your feet — believe me, I've tried. They're made a bit narrow, which gives them that extra source of support that's especially useful when wet. They have a contoured grippy footbed reminiscent of that of a running shoe, so I can wear them for hours without any pain. I have a pretty high instep, but because the strap is lined with cushioning, I never get blisters at the tops of my feet despite extended wear. — Marissa Miller, contributing editor Sanuk Women's Yoga Sling 2 Sandals I've never found a more comfortable sandal. These are made from real yoga mats so they're extremely squishy and comfortable. The fabric straps don't give me blisters, and I can wear them for hours. They also last for years! I've had the same pair for over a decade, and they're still as comfortable as the first time I wore them. — Lindsey Smith, newsletter editor Freedom Moses Venus Waterproof Slides If you've been on the hunt for a pair of rubber sandals in more fashion-forward colors and prints, Freedom Moses has you covered. I love this pearlescent Venus color, which is more elevated than a lot of the standard solid colors out there. They're basically light as air, washable, waterproof and anti-slip. — Tamara Kraus, senior lifestyle editor Teva Women's Midform Universal Sandals Let me add to the chorus of Teva love in here: They are fantastic. I could never find sandals that can withstand the beach, traveling through airports, walking miles through the streets of New York and everything in between ... until I met these beautiful and colorful magical shoes. The midform is a bit higher than other Teva soles out there but not precariously so, and give just the right enough of height so I don't feel like my toes are dangerously close to dirty sidewalks or subway platforms. I've had them for well over a year now, and they still look and feel just like they did out of the box. — Rachel Lubitz, former senior lifestyle editor Adidas Adilette Comfort Slides Some things never change. The iconic navy-and-white striped Adidas slides are one of those things. This is actually my second pair (the first was a hand-me-down from my cousin that was about two sizes too big), but now that they fit me, it's clear that these no-fuss slip-ons are classic for a reason. — Chelsea Stone, editorial director Tkees Women's Lily Nude Flip-Flops These flip-flops are a smart, minimalist option for a beach vacation, since they pack down flat and go with any outfit. They're available in a ton of neutrals, whether you're looking to match your summer tan or go for a nice complementary shade. — Caroline Curran, former associate deals editor Steve Madden Balanced Slide Sandals These Y2K-inspired Steve Madden sandals are a no-brainer if you're looking for a quick and versatile option for the warmer months. They can be dressed up or down with equal ease, and they're my go-to when I'm not sure how fancy or casual my destination is. The neutral color goes with basically everything, which is a definite perk when I don't feel like thinking too hard about my outfit but still want to look put together. As for comfort, the stretchy fabric band on top hugs my foot snugly enough so that I don't have to worry about them slipping off. — Morgan Pryor, former CNN Underscored intern Teva Men's Original Universal Sandals After getting into kayaking last summer, I absolutely adore my Tevas. I got the basic sandals, which don't offer a ton of support, but they're superlight, packable, comfortable and, most importantly, actually stay on my feet when I'm swimming or wading through the mud to get to shore. — Kai Burkhardt, outdoors, sustainable living and pets editor Read our review Crocs Adult Classic Clogs Love 'em or hate 'em, there's no denying that Crocs are comfy, thanks to their spongy foam construction. They're especially popular among rock climbers because they're easy to slip on between climbs and snug enough to tackle uneven terrain. And even though they're a tad ugly — just look at those air vents — I find them oddly charming. — Maxwell Shukuya, associate updates writer Teva Men's Hurricane XLT2 Sandals After reading my colleague Joe Bloss' best men's sandals piece, I decided to finally invest in a pair before a sure-to-be-sweltering DC summer replete with music festivals, World Pride and birthdays on boats. Bloss sold me on a pair of Tevas, but I opted for the slightly more expensive Hurricane XLT2 pair over his top pick (the Original Universal) due to the pair's grippier traction and increased arch support, which are sure to help for longer-distance walks and short hikes. I'm also obsessed with the general look of the Root Multi color variation I chose. — Daniel Toy, copy chiefRead our review Xero Shoes Men's D-Trail Sandals I've dabbled with various zero-drop and barefoot shoes in the past, but the Xero Shoes D-Trail are by far the most bare-bones shoes I've ever tested. They're extremely lightweight, making them a fantastic candidate for camping, hiking and travel, and I love how connected to the ground I feel while wearing them. If you've never tried barefoot shoes before, there will definitely be an adjustment period, but if you're like me, you'll grow to love them. — Kai Burkhardt, testing, outdoors, sustainability and pets editor The following FAQs have been answered by podiatrists Dr. Miguel Cunha and Dr. Mark Mendeszoon, as well as style experts Turner Allen and Katerina Kladis. Where can you find cheap but fashionable sandals online? Where can you find cheap but fashionable sandals online? 'You don't have to dip into fast fashion to find affordable sandals,' Allen said. He recommends Plasticana's jelly sandals, EVA Slides from the sock brand Bombas and clearance pairs from Everlane and Nisolo. On the other hand, Kladis points readers to Nordstrom Rack, Amazon and DSW. 'Remember to check return policies and consider the need for cushioning and arch support for comfortable wear,' she added. Are cheap sandals durable? Are cheap sandals durable? Typically, no. But Allen offered a few tips for finding hard-wearing, affordable sandals, like looking for durable materials, avoiding thin soles and consulting reviews. 'If the outsole looks like it'll disintegrate on cobblestones, it probably will,' he said. Are cheap sandals comfortable? Are cheap sandals comfortable? 'Many low-cost sandals are made of rigid, cheap plastics that lack flexibility, durability and traction that wear out quickly and lead to discomfort,' Cunha said. Instead of sacrificing comfort for price, he said readers should look for 'materials like memory foam, rubber or EVA, which help absorb shock.' How can I ensure cheap sandals won't ruin my feet? How can I ensure cheap sandals won't ruin my feet? Fit and arch support are most important, Mendeszoon said, urging readers to try before buying. Straps on sandals should be secure without chafing against your skin, he added, and soles should provide traction so you don't slip. Cunha echoed many of those suggestions and added that readers should look for cushioned footbeds, wide toe boxes and lightweight, shock-absorbing materials. When in doubt, buy sandals with the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance, which Cunha said 'means that they have been specifically designed to support foot health and provide superior comfort.' What are the most fashionable sandals styles? What are the most fashionable sandals styles? For men, Allen recommends fisherman sandals, which he describes as 'practical, a little nerdy and oddly chic.' 'For women, a minimalist leather slide nails that effortless, elevated look,' he said. 'Think understated elegance, not beach-day throwaway.' We consulted the following fashion and podiatry experts for their professional insights: Turner Allen, founder and lead stylist at Style Turner based in New York City Dr. Miguel Cunha, podiatrist and the founder of Gotham Footcare Katerina Kladis, fashion consultant, personal shopper and visual merchandiser at Katerina Styles Dr. Mark Mendeszoon, multi-board-certified podiatrist at Precision Orthopaedic Specialties and owner of Achilles Running Shop, a specialty shop dedicated to runners, walkers and athletes CNN Underscored has a team of skilled writers and editors who have many years of experience testing, researching and recommending products, and they ensure each article is carefully edited and products are properly vetted. Dagne Dover's best-tested garment bag is over half off and is a must for summer weddings
I'm a bit of a novice at packing for weddings, but now that I know more folks who are getting married, I'm considering upgrading my current plastic slip from the dry cleaner to a proper garment bag to protect my wedding guest attire. After perusing CNN Underscored's archive to find a bag that would fit my needs, I came across Dagne Dover's Capri Garment Bag. It was evaluated by our testing writer Michelle Rae Uy, who named it her top pick for gowns. In a stroke of luck, it just went on mega sale in three colors, dropping by 51% on the brand's site. Dagne Dover Capri Garment Bag Gowns, suits and even shoes will be safe and sound in Dagne Dover's trusty garment bag. It keeps clothing wrinkle free and has four zippered pockets for ties, hair accessories, jewelry and more. It's $153 off in the colors Warm Dust, Onyx and Dark Moss. At 67 inches, this garment bag is longer than most of its kind. Thankfully, it folds up and is compact enough to throw over your shoulder with its tote straps. The length is perfect for longer suits, gowns or anything else that you don't want creasing or cramming into a smaller bag. Rae recommended it for black-tie events, which is why I'm buying it for a wedding this summer. If the tote strap isn't for you, Dagne Dover is one step ahead. The garment bag also comes with a trolley sleeve that slips over the handles of a suitcase. Its variety of compartments for your shoes, phone and wallet, and its ability to fit up to three garments are a bonus for those looking to travel sans extra baggage. My initial drawback about committing to the bag was its steep price. However, now that it's over $150 off, I'm shocked to see that it hasn't sold out yet. With summer vacation just around the corner, many of us are gearing up for travel. Taking a weekender bag just isn't enough if you have to tote around formal attire, and purchasing a garment bag is a must if you want to keep your freshly pressed clothing crisp. Even if you aren't participating in any weddings, a garment bag is suitable for those who often fly or who commute on trains. This travel deal is worthwhile since it's an over half-off markdown on one of our best-tested items. The CNN Underscored deals team has over a decade of combined commerce journalism experience. 20 editor-favorite sunscreens that actually make us want to put on SPF
You might only think about wearing sunscreen once the spring and summer sunshine starts to roll in, but a daily sunscreen should be a part of your morning routine in every season. CNN Underscored editors test hundred of beauty products every year and consult dermatologists for expert insight, so we know exactly what we're looking for when it comes to finding a sunscreen that keeps us protected and satisfies our skin care needs. We won't judge if you don't have a sunscreen in your routine yet, but we asked our editors to share the sunscreens that they wear (and rewear) to help you find the one worthy of a spot in your regimen. Lightsaver Tinted Activated Mineral Sunscreen SPF 33 Finding a mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave your face oily or greasy looking is hard, but the Lightsaver Tinted Mineral Sunscreen put that search to rest. It has a creamy, whipped texture that blends into the skin and leaves a natural finish. It comes in an untinted and tinted version, but I prefer the latter for avoiding any white cast, although it doesn't provide much coverage. Lightsaver is made by a dermatologist and also has the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance, so I feel confident in recommending it for sensitive, reactive skin types too. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50 This is my go-to sunscreen to protect my face, especially during the summer months. It's a little expensive but I love that it has a matte finish and is lightweight, which makes it perfect for ensuring that my face isn't shiny or my makeup isn't melting. It feels very cool on my skin too. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates La Roche-Posay Anthelios UV Hydra Sunscreen SPF 50 Last spring, I picked up this sunscreen from my local drugstore. I wanted something that I could layer under makeup or wear alone that had a nongreasy finish. This formula from La Roche-Posay is exactly that. It feels silky smooth on and gives my skin a bit of an added glow, which works for me since I love a dewy finish. It's a bit expensive for face sunscreen but it's on par with other fan favorites from Supergoop!, EltaMD and First Aid Beauty. — Elena Matarazzo, associate deals editor Ultra Violette Supreme Screen SPF 50 It makes sense that sunny Australia would be home to some outstanding sunscreen brands. Ultra Violette recently brought its stellar SPFs stateside and it managed to translate all of the amazing qualities of its original formulas to the US versions with FDA-cleared UVA/UVB filters. Supreme Screen is its most popular product and it has quickly become one of my personal favorites. The SPF feels more like a moisturizer than a thick, greasy sunscreen and it has a satin finish that layers well under makeup. I'm also a fan of the Future Screen mineral SPF fluid that has a slight tint to cancel out any zinc white cast. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Everyday Humans Resting Beach Face SPF 30 Sunscreen Serum I won't name names, but some popular sunscreen brands make my eyes tear up profusely. I first tried this serum-like SPF from Everyday Humans a few years ago and haven't looked back since. It blends in easily and has the bonus of hyaluronic acid, which makes my summer skin care routine even faster and easier. — Tamara Kraus, senior lifestyle editor Hawaiian Tropic Weightless Hydration Face Sunscreen This has been my go-to face sunscreen for the past two years. It's hydrating yet lightweight, so it doesn't leave my face greasy. I love how it blends easily and has never left a white cast on my skin — instead, it leaves my face looking glowy and plump. Plus, it has a wonderful summery scent. — Stephanie Luna, editorial coordinator Tonymoly Green Tea Superlight Daily Defense Sunscreen SPF 50 I love Korean sunscreens and have tried all of the viral hits from Beauty of Joseon, Round Lab, Skin 1004, Innisfree and more (which, for the record, are still in my top 10 favorites!), but since it's getting harder to find original Korean formulas in the US (Korean sunscreen filters are not yet approved by the FDA), I've been searching for affordable alternatives that still deliver smooth, sheer protection and weightless wear. Thankfully, Tonymoly came out with this light and creamy green tea-infused SPF that ticks all the boxes. It leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated, almost like a face primer. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Kopari Face Shield I just recently tried the Kopari Face Shield that's just as lightweight and silky on the skin as my favorite Supergoop! Unseen sunscreen. Instead of a highly matte finish though, it adds some dewiness to my face — without making my face feel oily and icky. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen I take sunscreen very seriously, and as someone with dry skin, I need something that moisturizes without looking greasy or breaking me out. While I love some of the options from Paula's Choice and Supergoop! (which are also called out on this list), sometimes I don't want to spend $30 to $40 on one small tube of sunscreen. This Round Lab sunscreen is the perfect middle ground for me; it hydrates like a high-end sunscreen and doesn't peel under makeup, leave a white cast or have a heavy scent like some cheaper drugstore options I've tried. Plus, I can normally snag it for $20 to $25 when it goes on sale. One tube of this will last me a few months with daily use, and now that Round Lab's products are available at Target, it also makes restocking much easier. — Jillian Tracy, associate editor Paula's Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 This sunscreen is such a go-to for me. It's super lightweight, doesn't leave a white cast and works so well with my acne-prone, oily skin. It also makes my skin look glowy and not oily in the slightest. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Coola Organic Sunscreen SPF 70 Spray While I never fail to apply sunscreen to my face on the daily, I'm far less consistent when it comes to protecting the rest of my body. Coola's sunscreen spray makes it easier to build a healthy habit and spritz on SPF on my way out the door during the summertime. I love that it comes in different SPF levels and fun fruity scents (my favorite is the Peach Blossom). It even contains organic ingredients, without a premium price tag. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Byoma Ultra-Lightweight Face Fluid SPF 50 My fair skin is thanking Byoma over and over again for an SPF 50 option of this Face Fluid sunscreen. It goes on so light, feels hydrating and sits so well under makeup. It gives my skin just the right amount of glow and the tip applicator keeps things mess-free and easy. It's packed with skin care ingredients that make it a seamless part of my morning routine. There's an SPF 30 version too if you prefer, but I'm all about the higher SPF. — Ellen McAlpine, writer, updates Kopari Sun Shield Body Glow I've been loving this newly released SPF 50 sunscreen from Kopari that has gold pearlescent minerals that make my skin glow and shimmer, especially in the sun. It's also very lightweight and doesn't feel icky on the skin, reducing the stickiness you feel during oppressive summer days. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Sun Bum Daily Glow SPF 30 Sunscreen Face Lotion I have been using this a lot lately and really like how it looks on my skin. You get a little glow, some sun protection and it doesn't feel heavy at all. It's perfect if you're going for a minimalist or no-makeup kind of look. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics Even as I've gained more knowledge about higher-end skin care products, Beauty of Joseon's facial sunscreen still remains a favorite of mine. As the second coat of paint I put on my face each morning, I appreciate how lightweight it is and how easily it dabs into my skin and disappears — this is what separates it from most facial sunscreen I've encountered, and is why I don't mind walking a little further to find the nearest store that stocks it or waiting a little longer for a delivery. — Henry T. Casey, electronics writer Hero Cosmetics Force Shield I pick up a mini bottle of this Hero Cosmetics Sunscreen whenever I get a chance. It comes out of the bottle green, but don't worry — it blends into the skin for an almost matte finish. I love that it's not oily and made for sensitive skin. — Gareen Puglia, associate testing writer Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Flex SPF 50 A few of our editors tested out this color-changing tinted sunscreen last year, and even though I took a bottle home right away, I honestly forgot about it up until a few months ago. Lately, I've been wearing this sunscreen on days I'm working from home and don't want to wear too many layers on my face. I appreciate that it evens out my skin tone just enough so I look put together on Zoom calls, while still providing adequate SPF and not feeling too heavy. I'm almost out of this bottle but I'll definitely be restocking. — Amina Lake Patel, home and gifts editor IT Cosmetics Hello Sunshine Invisible Sunscreen For Face SPF 50 I'm obsessed with this sunscreen recently. It's super lightweight, doesn't feel greasy at all, and makes my skin look really smooth. As a plus, it doesn't leave a white cast and works well with my acne-prone skin — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen This SPF feels like a second moisturizer and goes on so easily. I anticipated it to feel thicker than it does, but the lightweight formula wears well all day, and at just $18 a bottle I can't help but be a fan. I can layer it with makeup, though I've been mixing this sunscreen with a bit of my concealer for no-makeup makeup days for light coverage and sun protection. — Ellen McAlpine, writer, updates Kosas DreamBeam Comfy Smooth Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40 The Kosas DreamBeam in Radiant Finish gives my skin a dewy glow and makes putting on sunscreen feel glamorous. The formula feels more like a primer than an actual sunscreen, but you're getting that SPF 40 protection. It's been my go-to for almost a year now — I wear it as a base for my makeup or pair it with concealer and head out the door. — Gareen Puglia, associate testing writerHow do CNN Underscored editors choose their favorite sunscreens? How do CNN Underscored editors choose their favorite sunscreens? When it comes to sunscreen, our editors all have different needs based on their skin types and preferences. Some editors favor sunscreens that leave a glowy or dewy finish, helping to make their skin look and feel more hydrated, while others prefer a more matte look. Many of the editors who contributed to this piece noted that they prefer a sunscreen that doesn't leave behind a white cast, with many even opting for tinted options that provide a light amount of complexion coverage. Another common feature our editors look for in their sunscreens is a lightweight, non-greasy formula that glides easily over the skin and wears well by itself or underneath makeup. Does CNN Underscored test sunscreen products? Does CNN Underscored test sunscreen products? Yes, we panel tested both face and body sunscreens to find the best everyday sunscreens and have conducted separate reviews on sunscreen brands like Supergoop! and Black Girl Sunscreen. When we don't have the time to test the sunscreens ourselves, we consult dermatologists and other skin care experts for their insights on topics like the best mineral sunscreens, the best sunscreens for dark skin and the best sunscreens for acne-prone skin. CNN Underscored has a team of writers and editors who have many years of experience testing, researching and recommending products, and they ensure each article is carefully edited and products are properly vetted. We talk to top experts when relevant to make certain we are testing each product accurately, recommending only the best products and considering the pros and cons of each item. For this article, associate lifestyle editor Jillian Tracy rounded up some of the team's favorite face and body sunscreens.
