Liverpool Are Prepared To Launch A Fresh Move For This Crystal Palace Defender: Should Slot Snap Him Up?

In a recent interview with Football Insider, former scout Mick Brown revealed that Liverpool are prepared to launch a fresh move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. Brown said, 'All of the talk at Liverpool has been about Isak at the moment. 'But from what I'm told, Marc Guehi is still very much on their radar and I'd expect them to make a move before the end of the window. 'I think they regard Guehi as just as important as Isak in terms of the benefit to their squad. 'They're not totally convinced about Konate, he makes too many errors and could be on his way out when his contract runs out next year. 'They've let Jarell Quansah go, and Joe Gomez isn't going to be the long-term answer at centre-back. 'If they're going for every trophy available to them, they can't afford to take chances at the back, and Guehi would represent a very good addition for them. 'He'd be a top signing and I expect they'll be ready to make a move at some stage.' Guehi's Excellent Form In The Premier League Last Season Guehi had a great season at the London club recently as he put in a lot of influential displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The England international played in 44 matches for the Eagles in the previous campaign, netting three goals and securing two assists across all competitions. The 25-year-old gave a good account of himself when defending inside his half after he made 61 tackles, 55 blocks and 28 interceptions in Premier League football. He was even careful when distributing the ball from the back, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 83.5% in the English top tier (stats via LONDON, ENGLAND – FEBRUARY 15: Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace looks on prior to the Premier League match between Crystal Palace FC and Everton FC at Selhurst Park on February 15, 2025 in London, England. (Photo by) Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Snap Guehi Up This Summer? Guehi is a good tackler of the ball and doesn't mind clearing the danger when needed. He can scan the danger well to make some crucial interceptions for his side on the defensive third of the pitch. The English sensation can even play his way out from the back. He is currently one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League. Therefore, it will be a great move for Liverpool if they can lure Guehi to Anfield this off-season. Guehi would no doubt enhance the quality of Arne Slot's defence. He could even go on to form a solid partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the Merseyside club. At 25, Guehi will only get better in the coming years. Thus, the Reds should focus on snapping him up before the end of this transfer period.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Genuine Contenders For This Manchester United Winger: Good Choice For Frank?

In a recent report, former Premier League scout Mick Brown claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are genuine contenders for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer. It has been stated that Spurs are showing interest in recruiting the Argentina international in this transfer window. Garnacho's Impressive Numbers In English Football Last Season The 21-year-old put in a series of eye-catching displays for the Red Devils in the Premier League last season. Garnacho banged in 11 goals and grabbed ten assists in 58 matches for Man United in the previous campaign across all fronts. The Argentine wing wizard was not shy of having a strike at goal as he averaged 3.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 34.5% of his attempts on target. Garnacho was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass completion rate of 78.9% in top-flight football (stats via His current contract at the Mancunian club will expire in the summer of 2028. Hence, Tottenham would have to launch a convincing offer if they want to recruit the Argentine talent this off-season. MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – MAY 07: Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United speaks to the media during a press conference ahead of the UEFA Europa League 2024/25 semi final second leg match between Manchester United and Athletic Club at Carrington Training Ground on May 07, 2025 in Manchester, England. (Photo by) Will Garnacho Be A Good Choice For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank? Garnacho has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. The Argentine sensation is primarily a left-winger but can also play in the number ten position or as a right-sided wide player if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won't take much time to settle into life at the North London club. Garnacho would add a lot of pace and goals to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank's frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season. At 21, the future looks quite bright for Garnacho as long as he continues to improve with each year. He might help Tottenham challenge across all competitions in the coming years. Furthermore, Garnacho would have a great resale value in the future. Thus, he would be a good choice for Spurs to consider before the end of this transfer period.

What is the latest on Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United?

Newcastle United's interest in Anthony Elanga isn't a secret. It wasn't in 2024, and it certainly isn't now. Last year, the Magpies made a £35 million [$47m] approach, which was promptly rejected by Nottingham Forest. Then they returned with an increased bid of £50 million [$68m] on transfer deadline day, only for Forest to turn down the improved offer as well. Advertisement That interest has continued into 2025, with Eddie Howe's side pushing hard again this summer. Their latest £45 million offer was also rejected, as Forest hold firm on a £60 million [$81m] valuation, according to The i. What is the latest on Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United? Newcastle remain quietly confident that a deal can be struck and reportedly have offered £50 million for the former Man United man. According to The i, negotiations remain active, and the club sees the continued dialogue as a positive signal. 📲 Follow The Sporting News on WhatsApp Simultaneously, the Magpies are preparing to return to the table for Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford. Advertisement Former Manchester United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, speaking to Football Insider, claimed Elanga is keen on a move: 'From what I hear, it'll take at least £60 million for them to accept an offer.' Brown added: 'Ideally, they'd like to keep him because he's been a big part of their progress this season. Having those direct wingers has allowed them to play the way they do. I don't know the exact terms of his contract, but I believe when Man United let him go, they had a clause in there that they get a percentage of his future sales. So if they must sell him, they want to bump up that price and make the most money they can.' Advertisement With Forest qualifying for the Europa Conference League, Elanga is viewed as crucial to Nuno Espirito Santo's plans. Nevertheless, if Newcastle edge closer to the £60 million demand, a breakthrough could still come. Newcastle United news and related links

Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Callum Hudson-Odoi EXCLUSIVE, Mbeumo personal terms ‘already agreed, Ekitike latest

Amorim's Mount U-turn Manchester United are set to entertain offers for Mason Mount this summer, it's been claimed. Former United scout Mick Brown said: "There is a possibility Mason Mount is sold. "They put a lot of stock into getting him fit again and getting him back to where he was. 'He's played a number of games in succession now, but I think Amorim has made the decision that he doesn't think he's good enough. 'If they feel they can move him on and there's enough interest, they're prepared to do it. United will do the same thing with a few of their fringe players if offers are made. 'They've got Cunha and probably Mbeumo coming in to play in the positions he was being used in, so that is a sign of where he ranks in the squad. 'It's a shame he's had these injuries since he arrived from Chelsea because there is a top player in there. United just feel they can improve in that position and that may mean moving him on.'
