These intelligent agents detect, triage, and respond to threats faster than traditional systems. As AI becomes a tool for cybercriminals to scale deception and accelerate attacks, Microsoft introduced the next evolution: Microsoft Security Copilot Agents. These agents operate autonomously within defined safety parameters. They help security teams by: Prioritizing risks and surfacing critical insights Reducing alert fatigue by automating routine analysis These agents adapt continuously to changing threat landscapes, increasing operational resilience. In a notable industry first, Microsoft partner Help AG demonstrated a Phishing Triage Agent, capable of managing phishing alerts and cyberattacks, allowing human teams to focus on more complex threats. Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, said: 'Generative AI is reshaping cybersecurity. While it creates new risks, it also offers tools for better defense. Microsoft is embedding AI into all layers of our cybersecurity platforms to provide real-time intelligence and autonomous responses.' Visitors at Microsoft's Hub in Hall 6 experienced its full security strategy and Generative AI capabilities. A highlight was Microsoft Security Copilot, an AI-powered assistant that supports investigations, improves threat detection, and provides actionable insights. This tool integrates with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Intune, creating a unified defense ecosystem. According to Tariq Halawani, Executive Director of Enterprise Solutions at Microsoft UAE, these tools are reshaping security operations through automation and improved efficiency. Microsoft also shared insights from its Cyber Signals report: 'AI-powered deception: Emerging fraud threats and countermeasures.' The report outlined how cybercriminals use AI to scale scams with fake images, cloned voices, and fraudulent websites. Microsoft's defense systems, which analyze trillions of signals daily, have: Blocked $4 billion in fraud attempts Rejected over 49,000 fraudulent partnership applications in one year The company is also working with law enforcement and industry partners to share threat intelligence and tackle AI misuse. The Microsoft Hub featured interactive areas for Microsoft Entra Suite, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Threat Protection. It also included a Networking Area, F&B zone, entertainment arena, and activation stage. Twelve Microsoft technology partners participated, including: Cloud4C CPX Diyar Insight TrustWave Rubrik Wizard Group GISEC Global 2025, under the theme 'Securing an AI-Powered Future,' hosted over 750 cybersecurity brands and more than 25,000 infosec professionals from 160+ countries. Search engine passes 100-million milestone for daily users following February's launch of a range of advanced capabilities, from automated research summaries of large-text sources to help with text composition for social media posts Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Microsoft today announced it has seen a sizeable surge in engagement in Edge and Bing since introducing the products' advanced AI capabilities in February. The company launched the AI-powered Bing and Edge as a means of reinventing the search engine and the Web browser – tools used by billions daily for work and leisure. 'Our new Edge and Bing come together as an AI-powered co-pilot for the Web,' said Tariq Halawani, Executive Director, Enterprise Solutions, Microsoft UAE. 'AI is systematically changing every aspect of our lives from the trivial to the critical. Being able to navigate the Web is a crucial skill in today's digital world, and Microsoft is at the heart of making this process easier and more intuitive, doing what we have always done – helping people achieve more.' Microsoft estimates that of the 10 billion daily search queries around the world, around a half go unanswered because underlying technologies were originally designed to drive users to websites. 'As Web use cases expand, the tools of navigation must evolve to support them,' Halawani added. 'The new Bing is a familiar experience, but users will find results that are more relevant.' The new Bing search engine bases its responses on a review of results from across the Web. If a comprehensive answer is not found in one source, it will build the answer from multiple sources so that users do not have to read through several pages of text. Through an interactive chat facility, users can also use Bing as an assistant for more complex tasks, such as planning a trip itinerary. It is also designed to be creative, helping with things like preparing for job interviews and other complex research. Microsoft Edge also has new AI capabilities. Its sidebar allows summaries of long documents, and the Chat function can fulfil advanced requests such as building a table comparison of two companies' financial results. The Compose function can offer helpful prompts on social media posts and even help users to fine-tune tone, format, and length. By early March, Microsoft had crossed 100 million daily active users of Bing and of the millions using the new Bing preview, around one third were new to the search engine. This year's edition is being held in partnership with social enterprise C3 and Microsoft UAE, with support from the Ministry of Economy. The 'Ramp Up' initiative focuses on providing aspiring entrepreneurs with access to expert-led workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and networking opportunities. In line with the UAE's broader vision for economic diversification and innovation, this year's programme emphasises sustainable business models and tech-enabled strategies. Participants will benefit from training that helps them develop scalable solutions with social and environmental impact. Microsoft UAE's involvement will focus on capacity-building in digital tools, while C3 will deliver sessions on sustainable growth, impact measurement, and investment readiness. Since its inception, 'Ramp Up' has drawn hundreds of young entrepreneurs, with over 1,000 jobs created by participating start-ups.
