Timothee Chalamet celebrated a huge New York Knicks victory by celebrating with fans after with girlfriend Kylie Jenner in tow after the team's Game 5 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Chalamet has returned to his courtside seat inside Madison Square Garden feet from where his beloved Knicks extended the Eastern Conference Finals with Jenner also appearing in Manhattan. Jenner had not been next to her beau for a Knicks' extravaganza since Game 4 of the team's previous playoff series against the Boston Celtics. Chalamet sat in between his stunning girlfriend and actor Miles Teller, donning a Patrick Ewing-themed jacket with the New York legend's No 33 on each sleeve. The orange and blue jacket was complemented by a similarly colored shirt, as well as black jeans and shoes with a blue and orange design. Jenner had on a white t-shirt and black pants to support her boyfriend's beloved basketball team. Chalamet and Jenner brought good luck to New York on the verge of playoff elimination, now down 3-2 with Saturday's Game 6 looming in Indianapolis. The duo were not afraid to be affectionate with the entire sports world watching on Thursday The 'Dune' star sat alongside fellow actor Ben Stiller for the previous four games of the Eastern Conference Finals. Stiller was also at the Midtown Manhattan cathedral for Game 5 alongside fellow celebrities Tracy Morgan, Spike Lee, Michael Imperioli, Shaboozey, Gayle King, and Michael Strahan. Chalamet, who once won a pair of Knicks tickets in 2010 in a social media contest, has been front and center of the celebrity seats at MSG this year. The A-lister sat courtside both in New York and Boston to watch his beloved Knicks eliminate the Celtics and secure their place in the Eastern Conference Finals. After the decisive Game 6, footage of Chalamet celebrating wildly with the thousands of fans flooding the streets around MSG went viral across social media. Instead of watching the NBA's best players over the last several days, Jenner had been on vacation and posting a slew of swimwear snaps in recent days. Then Chalamet and New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson headed to the exclusive Chez Margaux bar in Manhattan's Meatpacking District to celebrate the series win over the Celtics. IN CANNES In 2022, with Tom Cruise's blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick about to hit screens and the painful impact of the pandemic still fresh, Hollywood had plenty of reasons to want to celebrate – and send a message that they were back in business. With anticipation for the long-awaited sequel reaching fever pitch ahead of its Cannes Film Festival premiere, the studio spent big bucks erecting a massive pilot helmet along the main boulevard which displayed scenes from the film. And as Cruise hit the red carpet at the iconic Grand Theatre Lumiere with co-stars Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller and Jon Hamm, eight fighter jets were bellowing red, white and blue smoke as they shot across the sky above. Three years on, and Cruise and his unstoppable press blitz are back on the French Riviera – this time, for Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. He's once again been in top form, and critics are once again raving about his action-packed new movie. But when it comes to the PR and marketing stunts? Well, it's a bit of a different story. In fairness, there was a tuxedoed a cappella group performing outside the theatre ahead of Wednesday night's glitzy gala premiere, and an orchestra later playing the film's theme music. A screen was also set up outside The Carlton, one of the town's ritziest hotels, showing teasers. (Back in 2007, the same venue saw Jerry Seinfeld, dressed as a bee, literally zip-line from its rooftop to promote Bee Movie.) But for one of the most talked-about (and expensive) films premiering at the high-profile industry extravaganza, there's been little else in terms of buzzy promotions around the grounds of Cannes – let alone for the other films also having their debut. 'The main strip looks and feels completely different this year,' one executive film producer told 'I think it's reflective of the changes in the film industry … the global downturn has hit us just like everyone else, which means the films may be there, but the marketing budgets will have taken a big hit.' The film insider added: 'Even just a few years back, you could barely walk along the footpath on Boulevard de la Croisette [the main street] because of all the people crowding around the activations outside the main hotels.' Cannes has seen plenty of PR stunts, from the tacky to the gobsmacking – with particular incidents including when fake sharks were planted in the ocean behind Blake Lively during press for her 2016 horror flick In The Shallows and the time a producer enlisted three WWII-era tanks to help promote The Expendables 3 among the most memorable. One film sales agent told that while marketing budgets have been reduced, it's also the reality that high-profile advertising stunts aren't likely to hit their target audience at the film festival, where its largely industry representatives, not cinemagoers, who descend on the region. 'They're [studios] choosing not to spend the money here, where the audiences aren't based … It's smarter spending to reflect the state of the industry.'

Miles Teller is stepping into some strange and hilarious new territory. The Top Gun: Maverick and Whiplash star will headline Possum Song , a fantastical comedy from Sing Sing writer and director Greg Kwedar. The film comes from a script by Isaac Adamson and is being produced by FilmNation Entertainment and Ethos, the new production company from Kwedar and longtime collaborator Clint Bentley. Teller will play Eddie in the story, 'an overconfident Nashville star who is hiding a dark secret: He stole the songs for his hit debut album. Now, with a new wife and a baby on the way, Eddie must write his follow-up solo or risk losing everything. 'But just when things seem most hopeless, Eddie discovers a musical genius in the form of a magical possum with whom he strikes a dangerous Faustian bargain.' 'This is a one-of-a-kind film. Greg's vision, Isaac's hilarious script and the magnetic performance of Miles Teller will create the kind of cinematic ride that audiences are craving — with showstopping music, visceral shocks, possums, humor and emotion,' said Ben Browning, FilmNation Entertainment's President of Motion Pictures. This is an interesting and unique genre mashup that sounds like a great project for Teller, who's recently been flexing his range with everything from high-octane blockbusters to gritty dramas. He just starred in Apple's The Gorge , and he's already wrapped work on A24's Eternity where he stars opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Callum Turner, and Lionsgate's Michael Jackson biopic Michael . Scarlett Johansson and Miles Teller have officially signed on to co-star opposite Adam Driver in Paper Tiger , director James Gray's next feature film, which begins shooting next month in New Jersey. The project has already gone through a few casting changes, with Johansson and Teller stepping in for Anne Hathaway and Jeremy Strong, who had to exit due to scheduling conflicts. Gray, best known for The Lost City of Z , Ad Astra , and Armageddon Time , is both writing and directing Paper Tiger . The film is described as 'a tense and gritty story revolving around two brothers who pursue the American Dream—only to become entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true. 'As they try to navigate their way through an ever-more dangerous world of corruption and violence, they find themselves and their family brutally terrorized by the Russian 'Mafiya.' Their bond begins to fray, and betrayal—once utterly unthinkable—now becomes all too possible.' With Gray's eye for grounded storytelling and emotionally complex characters, there's a good chance Paper Tiger could end up being a strong film the packs a punch. This marks another high-profile role for Johansson, a two-time Oscar nominee with a long list of memorable performances in Marriage Story , Jojo Rabbit , Her , Lost in Translation , and several MCU films.
