Vice Minister of Industry Affairs Inaugurates MS Pharma Biologics in Riyadh
Eng. Khalil Ibrahim Ibn Salamah, Vice Minister of Industry Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, inaugurated the MS Pharma biologics manufacturing plant on Thursday during an official tour of Riyadh's 3rd Industrial City. The event also included the launch of several key infrastructure projects aimed at bolstering the Kingdom's industrial capabilities and advancing the localization of strategic sectors. The newly opened MS Pharma facility is the first in Saudi Arabia to produce fully formulated biologic drugs. Covering 3,000 square meters, the plant focuses on the production of treatments for autoimmune diseases, eye disorders, and osteoporosis. The initiative supports the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy by strengthening domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing. During the visit, Eng. Ibn Salamah also inaugurated the 'Montijoon 4' project by Masic Logistics. Spanning 150,000 square meters, the project will offer 156 ready-built factories designed to support SMEs and entrepreneurial industrial initiatives. This tour reflects the ministry's ongoing efforts to foster sustainable industrial growth, promote the localization of high-potential industries, upgrade infrastructure in industrial zones, and deliver integrated support services for innovative manufacturing ventures across Saudi Arabia. Eng. Albadr Fouda, Acting Deputy Minister for Industrial Enablement at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, inaugurated the Saudi pavilion at HANNOVER MESSE (World of Industry-WIN) 2025, currently taking place in Istanbul, Türkiye, and running through May 31. The pavilion highlights Saudi Arabia's industrial transformation, showcasing cutting-edge smart technologies and innovative solutions while promoting investment opportunities across key industrial sectors. The ministry's participation coincides with the launch of the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center, a strategic initiative to accelerate smart transformation in industrial facilities through advanced manufacturing technologies—enhancing the global competitiveness of the Saudi industrial sector. Six core entities from the Kingdom's industrial and mining ecosystem are represented at the pavilion: the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Export Development Authority, National Industrial Development Center, Saudi Industrial Development Fund, and MODON (Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones). Also present are the Ministry of Investment and Obeikan Investment Group. By engaging with global leaders in industrial automation, robotics, and AI, the ministry aims to strengthen international partnerships, attract investment in advanced technologies, and position the Kingdom as a global industrial hub—aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Moreover, in a strategic move to boost its international industrial profile, Saudi Arabia is set to host the next edition of HANNOVER MESSE in Riyadh in December 2025. Saudi Arabia launches Women in Mining Association
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced the establishment of the non-profit Women in Mining Association, a pioneering initiative aimed at increasing Saudi women's participation in the Kingdom's growing mining sector. The initiative is part of the ministry's broader efforts to support the non-profit sector in both industrial and mining domains, recognizing its vital role in advancing social and economic development. The Women in Mining Association will focus on developing advanced skills among Saudi women, preparing them to meet the evolving needs of the mining industry. It will also offer financial and technical support for female-led entrepreneurial and innovation projects, contributing to a more inclusive and diversified workforce in the sector. Rana Zamei, head of the ministry's Women's Empowerment in Mining Committee, emphasized that the association would actively reach women in all regions of the Kingdom, including remote areas near mining sites. By linking them with private sector projects supported by the ministry, the initiative aims to generate sustainable, income-producing opportunities. The ministry stressed that the launch of the association reflects its commitment to empowering women and the non-profit sector, while also enhancing the contribution of mining to Saudi Arabia's gross domestic product.

Oman, Saudi Arabia discuss closer industrial, trade ties
Muscat – Oman and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to deepening economic cooperation, with a focus on industrial and trade integration, during high-level talks held in Muscat. H E Qais Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, received a Saudi delegation on Thursday led by Al Badr Adel Fouda, Deputy Minister for Industrial Development in Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Albara Alaskandarani, Deputy Minister of International Economic Affairs in Ministry of Economy and Planning. Discussions centred on priori-ty initiatives aimed at enhancing industrial, commercial and investment ties in line with the national visions of both countries. The ministers highlighted the importance of continued institutional coordination to foster a robust, shared investment environment. On the sidelines of the meeting, H E Dr Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry in Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, held talks with the Saudi delegation to explore ways to strengthen industrial cooperation and expand strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in both countries. Key areas of collaboration include supply chain development, manufacturing and value-added industries. Both sides also discussed challenges related to the flow of goods and services and stressed the need for joint innovation to boost regional competitiveness and support sustainable development. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to build a more integrated regional economy that responds to global economic shifts and promotes shared prosperity for both nations.
