"I'm really proud of him": Rebecca De Mornay recalls working with Tom Cruise in 'Risky Business'
Actress Rebecca De Mornay shared screen space with Hollywood star Tom Cruise in the 1983 coming-of-age teen comedy film 'Risky Business', written and directed by Paul Brickman. She opened up about her connection with Cruise, whom she dated for two and a half years in the 1980s, according to People. "I'm really proud of him," shared the 65-year-old actress. Playing Picture-in-picture Top Gun: Maverick - Official Trailer While discussing De Mornay and Cruise's real-life relationship, the actress previously confirmed that she and the 'Top Gun' star dated briefly after filming the movie. Mornay compared Cruise to a "major chord" while describing herself as a "minor" chord. "He's like, 'I am Top Gun and that's what America really wanted, and so he's fulfilled it," she said, adding, "He is a brilliant, brilliant interpreter of what the zeitgeist is. I'm really, really proud of knowing him from when we were in the suburbs of Chicago filming Risky Business, and knowing what he wanted and where it is now," reported People. "We started this together, and look what he did with it," she added. Cruise began acting in the early 1980s and made his breakthrough with leading roles in Risky Business (1983) and Top Gun (1986). Cruise established himself as a star of science fiction and action films, often performing his own risky stunts. He played fictional agent Ethan Hunt in eight Mission: Impossible films, beginning with Mission: Impossible (1996) and ending with Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025). Rebecca's latest movie, Saint Claire, which also stars Bella Thorne, Ryan Phillippe, and Frank Whaley, is now available in select theatres, according to People.

Jurassic World Rebirth Day 16 India Box Office: Scarlett Johansson's movie grows by excellent 85 percent on 3rd Saturday; Nets Rs 3.50 crore
Jurassic World: Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali and others, had an excellent 85 percent growth on 3rd Saturday at the India box office, as it collected Rs 3.50 crore. Clubbed with its collections over the first 15 days, the total collections of Rebirth stand at Rs 78.10 crore and it should be standing at little around Rs 82 crore net by the end of the weekend. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Jurassic World: Rebirth Are As Under Particulars India Net Collections Week 1 Rs 50.45 crore Week 2 Rs 22.30 crore 3rd Friday Rs 1.85 crore 3rd Saturday Rs 3.50 crore Total Rs 78.10 crore net in 16 days Note: The collections don't include the 3D handling charges Jurassic World: Rebirth Is A Hit In India; However, It Is Not The Franchise's Prime While Jurassic World: Rebirth is not the best performing Jurassic film in India, it is atleast better than Dominion. It may most likely also go past Fallen Kingdom, though it may likely fall short of Jurassic World (2015). The franchise is past its prime in India, but the perfornance of Rebirth atleast assures that it is alive and kicking. Jurassic Park's adjusted net India collections may be close to Rs 250 crore, and thus one would expect atleast Rs 150 crore from new films of this franchise, if not more. Rebirth will fall around 40 percent short of the mark, but that doesn't absolve it of a hit verdict. Hopefully, if there is a major revamp to the franchise with higher stakes and conflicts, we may get back the prime days of the franchise. Jurassic World: Rebirth Chases Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning To Be Hollywood's Highest Grossing Indian Film Jurassic World: Rebirth heads to be the highest grossing Hollywood movie of 2025 so far in India, chasing Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. F1 is also chasing Tom Cruise's action-thriller in India, but Rebirth will likely take the first spot. Jurassic World: Rebirth In Theatres

Box Office: Lilo And Stitch hits USD 1 billion worldwide; Becomes 2nd movie of 2025 after Ne Zha 2 to enter coveted club
Disney's live-action flick, Lilo And Stitch, has finally entered the USD 1 billion club, becoming the 1st Hollywood film of the year to enter the coveted club. At one point, it felt like Minecraft would enter the USD 1 billion club first, but the trend of that film wasn't as strong as it should have been, as a result of which it ended its run grossing USD 950 million. Lilo And Stitch Becomes The 1st Hollywood Movie And 2nd Film Of 2025 Overall To Enter USD 1 Billion Club Lilo And Stitch is only the second movie of 2025 to enter the USD 1 billion club, the first being Ne Zha 2. Ne Zha 2 is not only part of the USD 1 billion club, but also the USD 2 billion club. The Chinese animated movie grossed USD 2 billion in the domestic market alone, a record that may only be broken by Ne Zha 2's sequel only, whenever it releases. Lilo And Stitch Braved Mixed Word Of Mouth And Competition From Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Lilo And Stitch released alongside Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. Despite mixed reviews, the live-action film kept getting audiences in. It is after 8 weeks that the movie is standing at a 10 digit sum. With positive word of mouth, the movie could have entered the club, atleast a couple of weeks earlier. Regardless, what matters is that it is the first Hollywood movie of the year to achieve this feat. No summer release has come even close to USD 1 billion, and this goes to show how difficult it still is to put up these sort of collections. Probable Hollywood Films To Enter USD 1 Billion Global Club The probable 2025 releases that can enter the USD 1 billion club are Zootopia 2 and Avatar: Fire And Ash. Avatar: Fire And Ash may, like other James Cameron films, also hit USD 2 billion. The main target for the ambitious film will be to cross Ne Zha 2 to become the year's highest global grosser. This time, it's slightly difficult because China is no longer the beast market that it once used to be for Hollywood features. Lilo And Stitch In Theatres
