Strictly's Motsi Mabuse breaks silence after legal battle against ex-husband
Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has issued a message to fans following her £70,000 legal battle with ex-husband Timo Kulczak. The couple tied the knot in 2003 before divorcing in 2014, with Motsi accusing her ex-partner of abusive behaviour. Last year, her ex-husband started court proceedings to sue her following claims in Motsi's autobiography, Finding My Own Rhythm: My Story, which was released in 2022. In the memoir, she said Timo paid her an allowance from her dance teaching and TV earnings, controlled her diet, and rejected her wants to have a baby. He has denied these claims. Motsi had been sued for £70k by Timo, but this week, a German judge ruled in her favour following the long-running court case. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she wrote: 'After almost three years the legal proceedings against me have now come to an end with the court ruling in my favour. 'This case has been a long and challenging process accompanied by media coverage and many articles over the years it has been a constant burden and I am relieved that clarity has finally been achieved. 'I would like to thank my family especially my husband my lawyer my team and those who supported me throughout this time now I can close this chapter and focus on the future with renewed strength.' In 2023, Timo accused Motsi of lying in order to 'push book sales' and claimed he was 'a loving and caring husband' during their marriage. 'She did something bad to me and my family and I can't accept that,' he told The Sun. 'Now I have reached a point whereby I cannot just let things stand as they are when something is put out there in public and it is simply not true. 'I am deeply disappointed and hurt. Looking back, I remember a very good and positive and happy time that simply cannot be compared to some of the claims about me that have now come to light. 'I was a loving and caring husband who was always by her side at any time, when she needed help. I don't feel I was controlling, I see all of what I did as organising and being helpful to her.' His lawyers asked the court to jail Motsi for up to six months or fine her £250k if she ever repeated the claims from her book. Motsi's representatives claimed at the time that 'no such written court order exists'. 'It is categorically untrue that our client faces imprisonment with regard to her former husband's civil lawsuit, or that a fine, which would only be payable if our client culpably violates a court order, would be more than a nominal amount,' they said in a statement to The Mirror. More Trending 'There is no legal basis for this lawsuit. To reiterate, our client reserves all rights in this matter.' After her divorce from Timo, whom she had moved to Germany to be with when she was 18, Motsi married her new dance partner, Evgenij Vozynuk, in 2017. The couple have a daughter and run a dance school together near Frankfurt. Motsi Mabuse speaks out on tense legal battle with ex-husband after abuse claims
Strictly Come Dancing star Motsi Mabuse has revealed her legal battle with her ex husband Timo Kulczak has finally come to an end, years after she made claims in her book Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has revealed legal proceedings against her have come to an end after almost three years. Her ex husband Timo Kulczak launched legal action against the professional dancer in 2023. He sued her for £70,000 after she called him 'controlling' and made a series of damning allegations in her autobiography. The case went to court as Kulczak denied the claims made against him. Today, Motsi posted about a court case as she marked the end of the chapter in her life. It comes after Andy Carroll 'splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands' weeks after public row. The TV star wrote: "After almost three years, the legal proceedings against me have now come to an end, with the court ruling in my favour. This case has been a long and challenging process, accompanied by media coverage and many articles over the years. "It has been a constant burden, and I am relieved that clarity has finally been achieved. Now I can close this chapter and focus on the future with renewed strength." She also thanked her husband, Evgenij Voznyuk, legal team and management. Motsi and Kulczak, who married in 2003, divorced in 2014 after meeting at a dance tournament. She is now married to dance partner Evgenij, with whom she has a daughter. The couple also run a dance school together in Germany. Last year, Kulczak said Motsi struggled to adapt to the 'German way' and that he had to help 'organise' her. 'For sure, the German character is different from the South African way of living," he told the Sun. "But she lived here a very long time, so she got used to it and liked how organised everything was and how things were functioning because it was organised.' Kulczak claimed the former couple had an agreement to not talk about their private lives. He alleged his dance coaching and love life had been affected by Motsi's claims in her book. 'I just wanted the apology. But at the point where you say all further communication is through legal teams, an apology is not enough any more," Kulczak said last year. Motsi is now preparing for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing as she returns as a judge alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas. They will welcome a whole set of new celebrities onto the dancefloor in just a few weeks time. China's Tsingshan to invest $800 mln in its Zimbabwe steel plant
MVUMA, Zimbabwe: Chinese nickel producer Tsingshan Holding Group plans to invest $800 million in its steel plant in central Zimbabwe through its unit Dinson Iron and Steel Company , a top company official said at a media tour on Friday. Tsingshan, one of the world's leading nickel producers, has already made significant investments in Zimbabwe. Apart from the steel plant, Tsingshan also has ferrochrome, coking coal and lithium mining businesses in the Southern African country. Project director Wilfred Motsi said on Friday the funds would be allocated towards a blast furnace and supporting infrastructure to lift capacity from the current 600,000 metric tons of carbon steel annually to 1.2 million metric tons. But Motsi said the company would first assess whether market demand for carbon steel can absorb a sharp increase in output, adding that the funds would be used to build centering, rolling and steel plants and a blast furnace. "We are ready for the next stage, but we will look closely at market conditions before committing. We need to be sure the market can take that much product," said Motsi. The first phase included a 50-megawatt thermal power plant to reduce reliance on Zimbabwe's strained electricity grid. The plant will also generate additional power from furnace gas to cover about 20% of its needs, management said. Zimbabwe's Information Minister, Jenfan Muswere, said the plant would help reduce the country's steel import bill, which he estimated at $1 billion annually.

Oti Mabuse breaks down in tears on Loose Women after emotional family revelation
Oti Mabuse was seen getting emotional on the Loose Women panel earlier today, as she reminisced on her time on the TV show DNA journey with her sister Motsi Oti Mabuse emotional as she chats about her family history Oti Mabuse broke down in tears on today's episode of Loose Women as she spoke about her emotional journey on the show, DNA Journey. During the episode of the ITV show, which aired in 2023, Oti and Motsi Mabuse explored their family history in South Africa, in which they discovered a WWII connection. Their grandfather, Paulus Mabuse, fought for the British in the Native Military Corps during the war. During the ITV daytime show, Oti revisited a clip of herself and her sister Motsi when they found out, which moved her to tears. In the clip, Oti and Motsi were seen breaking down in tears when they were given medals their grandfather received for his work in the armed forces. 'It's a good thing, it's an amazing thing. Please don't think we're sad. One of the missing pieces that we've missed and needed to hear for so long, it's a beautiful thing. We're so grateful. These are tears of, "Oh my God!"' The pair said they had "no idea" that there were war medals in their family, as they learnt their grandfather fought for the British in World War II. Oti revealed that her grandfather, along with many others were promised land. However, they were relocated and left in the middle of nowhere. Oti said it made her feel "horrendous" as she said both her and Motsi cried their make-up off. However, she said they felt liberated knowing where they come from. "Now I know that I'm a granddaughter of a soldier," she told the panel, before the clip was played. As they cut back to the studio after the clip was played, Oti wiped away he tears as she said: "It's moving. "Also, I think that we tried to look for something, we didn't wait for the show to come to us. We also asked our parents, and you can see the generational trauma that it causes. "My dad didn't speak to his dad and so he didn't know. All that they knew is maybe they drank, they went to the mine, and then they died. He didn't know that his life served a purpose and he helped save the world. "We're here because of people like our grandad, and it means the world to us." Speaking on her experience on Loose Women, Oti said it was the "best show" she'd ever done. "It gave me something personally back. Our history in South Africa is really rough. Specifically with my family it was wiped out, so we had no way of getting any information." Tonight, Sam Thompson and Marvin Humes will be taking part in the ITV show to discover their family history. In the episode, the duo start off in Jamaica. There, JLS star Marvin finds out that his Great Grandma Blanche was not actually married to his Great Grandfather David James. They had four children, but immediately after the fourth, Marvin's Grandma Ruby, was born in 1930, David James left. Meanwhile, Sam flies into a panic when he is told he has an ancestor who spent time in Jamaica. 'It doesn't sounds good, don't say it..' he says. However, he is relieved to learn there is no slavery connection. It comes after Sam admits to Marvin that he knew "nothing" about his family history before taking part in the show.
