Ferne McCann ‘gutted' after being booted off Dancing On Ice in third week

Ferne McCann has said she is 'gutted' after being being booted off Dancing On Ice in its third week. The reality star, who rose to fame in The Only Way Is Essex (Towie) before landing her own shows, and skating partner Brendyn Hatfield went home after Movie Week on Sunday. After the judges and the audience at home delivered their scores, McCann said: 'So gutted, but it is what it is. Hatfield said: 'We've had just the best time skating together and learning and growing, and she had so much more in her.' McCann performed a Trolls-themed skate on Sunday to September by Earth, Wind And Fire, which features in the animated movie. She scored 28 points with the judges, and demonstrated a move in which she sat down like a chair, while skating. Judge Oti Mabuse said it was the 'most beautiful we've seen yet', but added that the 'nerves get the better of you' to Brooks. Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave looked like he was in trouble, getting the lowest score of the night with 20 points on the leaderboard from the judges, but proved a hit with viewers. Mabuse said Sir Steve 'told the story really well', but urged him to showcase 'more skill' in future. Last year, McCann – also known as a 2015 I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! finalist – quit her ITVBe show Ferne McCann: My Family And Me. Launched as First Time Mum in 2017, the show about motherhood and relationships ran until 2024 for 13 series. McCann has a baby daughter named Finty with her fiance, property developer Lorri Haines. She also has an older daughter, Sunday, with a former partner.

ITV Dancing on Ice viewers are all saying the same thing about the show's scoring system

Dancing on Ice has skated on to our screens with the third episode of the ITV competition. This week's theme is Movie Week and the show has gone all out with its costumes and elaborate film-themed routines. Hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern wore matching Wicked costumes and fans have been lapping their looks up. Holly, 43, donned a pink princess ballgown with a plunging neckline and a matching tiara and wand. Stephen, 47, committed to the costume by wearing green face paint and a pointy witches hat throughout the entire show. Oti followed this week's theme to a T, dressing up as X Men's Storm. She paired the character's iconic silver hair with a gorgeous little black dress with a built in cape. But it's not the outfits or the ice skating routines that have got fans talking online, however. Viewers of the show have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to complain about the judges' scoring system. Many have mentioned that the scores are 'way too high', especially since the show is only on on week three. X user @ayesleft said: "The scores on Dancing on Ice are way too high for everyone. It's become ridiculous." Another user, @Michelle_G_Lund, wrote: "Think I'm done with dancing on ice now. Scores are ridiculously high, half of them are reality stars, not celebrities, and I can't stand Stephen Mulhern!!!" A third, @ryzzzi, penned: "The scores on Dancing on ice has actually become outrageous! Way too high for everyone." @Kingdanny30 said the judges are 'too nice'. His post reads: "Don't know what it is but I'm really not enjoying Dancing on Ice anymore, judges are too nice." The episode also saw comedian Josh Jones open up on the reason why he was forced to quit the show. The 32-year-old from Failsworth fell during rehearsal and twisted his ankle. Josh said he was 'annoyed' by his early exit and would miss spending time with his skating partner, Tippy Packard. It comes just months after Dame Sarah Storey was forced to quit the show after suffering a painful injury. The cyclist and swimmer took to her Instagram page to share snaps of her leg in a cast after fracturing her left ankle weeks before the show even began. Dancing on Ice continues on ITV and ITVX next Sunday.
