Armed robbers hit Mpumalanga church during prayer service, steal pastor's car

The police in Masoyi, Mpumalanga, are on a manhunt for five suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Moving Ministries of God Church in Numbi during an overnight prayer service. According to Mpumalanga News, the robbery occurred at about 00:45 yesterday. Mpumalanga police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane says the suspects are unknown and wore balaclavas during the robbery. She adds they were armed with pistols and took 11 cellphones, two amplifiers and the pastor's car – an Audi Q3 SUV with registration KFM 302 MP. They used it to flee the scene. 'Authorities have confirmed that the vehicle has not yet been recovered but tracking efforts are underway. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported during the robbery,' Ndubane says. Police urge anyone with information that may assist in locating the suspects to contact detective Captain David Hlatshwayo on 072 233 7530 or the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
