Its Miles Morales vs. Reed Richards in Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion

is unique as one of the two survivors of the original Ultimate Universe. This makes him a figure of interest to the other survivor, a villainous Reed Richards variant known as The Maker, A new teaser confirms the two are destined to interact again in the upcoming miniseries. Written by Deniz Camp and Cody Ziglar, with art by Jonas Scharf, Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion will center around Miles Morales. The early press revealed that Miles would be drawn into the new Ultimate Universe, chasing after his baby sister. However, it now appears that this chain of events is the work of The Maker and is tied to a scheme to free himself. This, coupled with the title, suggests The Maker is intentionally trying to collide the new Ultimate Universe and Earth-616. The teaser poster for Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #1 may be viewed below. In the cosmology of Marvel Comics, an incursion occurs when two universes collide. This subsequently causes the boundaries between realities to erode. Sometimes, this results in one universe being absorbed into the other. Most times, however, it results in both universes dying. Incursions figure prominently in the plot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, they first appeared in the comics building up to the 2015 Secret Wars event. There, incursions were used by the cosmic Beyonders as part of a plan to destroy the multiverse. It is suspected the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie will be adapting that storyline. Given that, it makes sense that Marvel might use Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion to refresh the concept for current comic readers. In any case, Miles Morales will have his work cut out for him trying to save his sister and two worlds. Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on June 4, 2025.

‘Avengers: Doomsday' Will Reportedly Revive Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter

Captain Carter Despite listing a whole lot of names in chairs, Avengers: Doomsday and its Secret Wars follow-up are apparently still hiding a few things, and now, Deadline is reporting on one of them. They're saying that Hayley Atwell will return to her role as Captain Carter in live-action, for the second time, in a deal that will have her appear in both upcoming Avengers movies. And this is after a 14 year history with Marvel that has rarely, if ever, properly used her character despite her being a part of multiple projects. At this point: Captain Carter It's a lot of screen time but again, it still feels like she was underused, somehow. Being relegated to a love interest at first is never all that great. Captain Carter was solid but cancelled when it could have continued. What If…? ended up not being a terribly good series in the end and making Carter the focus attracted a lot of flak since it was supposed to be an anthology. And even Atwell has said she was 'undermined' with her quick death in Multiverse of Madness. But after two deaths, Captain Carter is apparently back, pulled from…where? Maybe the What If…? universe if she somehow survived the events of that show, or maybe another one. It is a bit random, however. Maybe Marvel decided it was time to give her a real shot in the role. Maybe someone watched Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. I don't know. But hopefully she's treated right this time and most importantly, survives. The ‘Avengers: Doomsday' Cast List Is Bad For So Many Reasons

Multiverse of Madness Everyone has been clamoring to know who exactly is going to be showing up in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, with a new rumor every day and now that filming has started, inevitable set leaks starting to build out the cast without Disney's permission. So, the idea was to get ahead of the game with a cast list announcement, which in theory, could have been fun. Instead it was the opposite of fun, and both the presentation, who is on the list, and who isn't is just exceptionally bad on every level. The Stream – Marvel had a stream that ran for hourxs, slowly panning over chairs with the name of each actor that would be showing up in the film. It was about as interesting as watching grass grow. There had to have been about fifty better ways to do this, and the only good thing to come out of this absurd format were the internet memes that spawned from it. This was just awful. Avengers: Doomsday The Cast – I'm not going to post a giant list so you can just take a look at the image above. The main development here was that the largest group featured here are a slate of somewhat random FOX X-Men, with a full six of them added to the cast. Between those X-Men and what appears to be the full cast of Thunderbolts, that's 13 out of the 27 spots by themselves (plus Gambit). Not to mention this just spoiled Thunderbolts, as we now have confirmed all these cast members survive the Suicide Squad-ish film (RIP Taskmaster), even its villain. The movie is out in a month, they couldn't wait until then? And they sure better hope it's a hit. I have no idea what Marvel's plan here is with the X-Men going forward. The original X-Men film where most of these characters debuted was in the year 2000. A lot current MCU fans weren't even born yet, and given that this was so long ago, the ages of the cast now range from 50 to 85 (McKellen) and the only one outside of that is Channing Tatum's Gambit, but he's not a real part of the FOX crew. The main question I have is that the goal, no doubt, is to introduce a new slate of X-Men after these Avengers movies with recast, younger actors, as again, you cannot continue forward with a cast led by 84 year old Patrick Stewart and 85 year old Ian McKellen from here, as amazing as they may be. Deadpool and Wolverine felt like the tribute that the FOX universe needed. This? I don't know what this is supposed to be. (Also, where are Deadpool and Wolverine). Spider-Man Who's Missing – It's kind of insane that there is only one core Avenger in this entire list, Thor. While sure, we were always going to be missing Steven Rogers and Tony Stark. There are some huge characters missing here, including Doctor Strange, Bruce Banner, Star Lord, Captain Marvel (and Ms. Marvel, for that matter), Hawkeye (and Kate Bishop), Scarlet Witch and above all else, Tom Holland's Spider-Man where it seemed he was supposed to be one of the linchpins of the MCU going forward. And he's not even here? I am sure that there are some cameo parts being hidden here, but those huge characters should not be cameos in the first place, so I doubt many will be. It just strikes me as exceedingly strange this movie would be missing such key characters when half the cast will be coming from the last three (non-Deadpool) MCU movies and seven more slots going to FOX X-Men. None of this seems good, and given the Russo Brothers' recent track record outside of the MCU, I'm not sure how much faith I have in them to make this work. Major Marvel star says that she won't be appearing in the next two Avengers movies

Elizabeth Olsen has appeared to confirm that she won't be involved in the next two Avengers movies, which are set to start filming back-to-back in London imminently. Olsen plays Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was last seen as the prime antagonist in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Given that the conclusion to that film left Wanda's story open-ended it was assumed that she would be returning in the forthcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, due for release in 2026 and 2027 respectively. However, Olsen has potentially dashed the hopes of fans longing to see her in those films after The Hollywood Reporter asked her if the Russo Brothers are going to be extending [her] stay" in London. The 36-year-old coyly replied: 'No, I'm back [in the States]. I just finished [ Panic Carefully ]. I'm moving on to filming a pilot for FX [called Seven Sisters ].' Olsen has played Maximoff in six different Marvel films to date, with her first being 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She was the lead star of 2021's WandaVision, which has been the most positively received Marvel television series to date. Only Robert Downey Jr has been officially announced for Avengers: Doomsday so far. He is controversially returning to the MCU to play Doctor Doom. The Oppenheimer star surprised crowds at Comic-Con in San Diego on Saturday 27 July as he was dramatically unveiled in the new role during a Marvel panel. Stepping forward from a line of similarly masked figures on stage, Downey Jr pulled off his silver mask to an ecstatic reaction from the crowd. 'New mask, same task,' he triumphantly declared after it was announced that he would be playing Doctor Doom in the forthcoming Avengers instalment. Joe and Anthony Russo previously directed some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe 's most popular and highest-grossing films like Endgame, which made $2.79bn worldwide. In a new interview, Joe Russo said that it was Marvel CEO Kevin Feige's idea to bring Downey back as Doctor Doom after his heroic death as Iron Man in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. 'That was Kevin,' he told Omelete. 'Interestingly enough about that, that conversation was had a while ago.' 'Robert [Downey Jr] tried to talk us into doing it and we said, 'No.' We just didn't have a story. We didn't have a way in, right? We were resistant for a while.' 'And then one day [ Endgame writer] Steve McFeely, who's one of our key collaborators, said, 'I have an idea.' And we went, 'That's the story. That story has to be told. It's a really powerful story.''
