Two months later, they made their red carpet debut at a 'For Your Consideration' event for her Watch Out for the Big Grrrls Amazon Prime Video reality. Months later, in a December 2022 interview on 'The Howard Stern Show', she spoke about the evolution of their relationship, saying that they're "not playing any games with each other anymore. "My man, he's so funny. He was the one that brought it to my attention at first. Because at first I was like, 'Oh my gosh I lost five pounds' and he was like, 'Where did it go?,'" Lizzo, 36, began. She continued, "I was mad at him, I was like, 'Why would he say that?' but he was like, 'Where did it go?'" "They're applying it to their own experience and their own life just like I did when I was a kid." When Lizzo was growing up, she noticed "how the media treated people who gained and lost weight" — and that impacted her "brain chemistry." "Be careful with your words because it can affect somebody in ways you don't even know," she concluded. "Even me releasing the weight has affected people and I take that seriously. I take that responsibility. And because of that I want to transmute it into something that makes people feel comfortable and less afraid of it." The "About Damn Time" hitmaker seemingly used the opportunity to show off her slimmed-down figure in black underwear as she can be seen bending intermittently to hit the metal sound bowl with a gong. Alluding to a tough week, she wrote in the caption, "I crashed out bad today BUT this time I didn't bring it to the internet… You know what that's called? GROWTH ." Many fans took to the comment section to applaud her, with one mentioning that they're "proud of" Lizzo, adding that the singer shows how much she "grows every day." The singer also explained that she doesn't expect to be "considered thin" when she reaches her goal, but she would rather focus on being happy and healthy. "Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means," Lizzo added. "I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. But I will be happy."
