In case you missed it, Mike MacDonald's club finished the year with a 10-7 record just like the NFC West Division leading Los Angeles Rams. To add insult to injury, Seattle split the season series 1-1 with LA. Still, due to NFL tiebreaker rules — notably 'strength of victory' — Matthew Stafford's squad advanced while the Seahawks stayed home. So, the team got busy this offseason. Over the past few months, general manager John Schneider signed Pro Bowl quarterback Sam Darnold and star divisional rival wideout Cooper Kupp along with veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling and longtime Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. In their wake, they leave fan favorites Geno Smith, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett behind, all of whom are no longer with the Seahawks. And, now, that the 2025 schedule has officially been released, we now know what the Seahawks' path to the postseason looks like this year. To get there, they'll need to come up big at home against divisional rivals San Francisco 49ers (Sept. 7) and Los Angeles Rams (Dec. 18) as well as playoff powerhouses like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Oct. 5), Houston Texans (Oct. 20) and a Nov. 30 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings (which should be a big game considering Darnold defected from the Purple People Eaters after a career year to come to Seattle). If you consider yourself part of 'the 12' and want to be there to witness the action live, tickets are available for all eight 2025 home games at Seattle's Lumen Field as of today on Vivid Seats. Rams Predicted to Soon Part Ways With $84 Million Star

The Los Angeles Rams have been consistent contenders across Sean McVay's eight-year tenure as head coach, and the team is poised to be a threat to win the NFC West Division and make a deep playoff run yet again in 2025. That said, the team clearly already has an eye turned toward the future. There has been no better evidence of that during this offseason than the Rams' willingness to let quarterback Matthew Stafford explore the market for a potential trade. Advertisement Stafford, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions, will play next season at 37 years old, which will be his 17th campaign as a pro. He just signed an extension to remain in Los Angeles after finding his other options lacking and is currently playing on a two-year, $84 million deal that keeps him under contract through 2026. Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay talks with quarterback Matthew J. Rebilas-Imagn Images However, some analysts believe the 2025 campaign will be the last of Stafford's career. "Matthew Stafford is back for more, but there's a good chance he'll decide to hang 'em up after this season," Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report wrote on Friday, May 9. "The Rams could also decide to move on from him if they don't see the value in an expensive, past-his-prime quarterback who has a 91.8 passer rating since the start of 2022." Advertisement Gagnon predicted that one way or the other, the Rams will probably be in the market for a new starting quarterback by next offseason -- if not ahead of the trade deadline this fall. Jimmy Garoppolo, 33, and former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett are currently the only two other QBs on the Rams' depth chart, per ESPN.
