NFL Top 100: Arizona Cardinals S Budda Baker makes it for 6th straight year
Budda Baker moves up 55 spots after another Pro Bowl season The Arizona Cardinals have three players in the 2025 edition of the "NFL Top 100." On Thursday, safety Budda Baker was revealed as player No. 34. He has made the top 100 for six consecutive years, and he made a massive jump this year. He moved up 55 spots from No. 89, where he ranked a year ago. Budda Baker in the 'NFL Top 100' again In 2024, he was selected to the Pro Bowl for the seventh straight year and for the eighth time in his career. He was a second-team All-Pro for the second time, to go with two career first-team All-Pro nods (one of his Pro Bowls and first-team All-Pro selections came his rookie season as a special teams player). He had a career-high 164 total tackles, second in the NFL, with 95 solo takedowns. He added two sacks, 10 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and, after zero pass breakups in 2023, he had five last season. Detroit Lions safety Brown Branch, a Pro Bowler last season, called Baker "a dog." Cardinals tight end Trey McBride also said that about him and added that Baker is "the heart and soul of our defense." Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams resorted to expletives to describe Baker, saying he is "a (expletive) in a game playing against (him)." Branch added that has "never seen anybody play in the box like him." Bills tight end Dawson Knox said that, despite always being one of the smallest guys on the field, "it's as if he is the biggest guy on the field." Knox and Williams both spoke to the force with which Baker tackles. Williams, a physical runner, "can't really brush off his tackles." What has Baker been ranked before? Baker has made the list every year since 2020. He debuted in 2020 at No. 97. He shot up the rankings in 2021 all the way up to No. 19. In 2022, he was No. 67 and then No. 73 in 2023. Last year, as mentioned, he was No. 89. Get more Cardinals and NFL coverage from Cards Wire's Jess Root and others by listening to the latest on the Rise Up, See Red podcast. He rushes from anywhere. He is athletic and he plays with a high motor. He has 52.5 career sacks through four seasons and has his eyes on at least 100. Where did CeeDee Lamb rank in the 2025 NFL Top 100?
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb may not have had the best weekend, but when the former Oklahoma Sooners star wears his uniform and is on the field, he remains one of the best in the NFL. The 15th iteration of the "NFL Top 100" began airing on NFL Network in June with players No. 100 to 91. This week, players No. 40 through 31 will be ranked. Most recently, Lamb, entering his sixth season in the league, checked as the NFL's 35th best player in the countdown. Lamb is coming off a season in which he caught 101 passes for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns. It marked the third straight year he caught more than 100 passes and the fourth straight in which he gained more than 1,100 yards receiving. Accordingly, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight season and named an All-Pro for the third consecutive year. His 2025 numbers did drop across the board compared to his 2024 totals. His ranking did, too. Entering last year, Lamb ranked as the No. 13 player in the league, a drop of 22 spots this year. Right next to him, at No. 36 was his Cowboys teammate, linebacker Micah Parsons. Parsons also fell from No. 17 entering last year. Dallas selected Lamb with the No. 17 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With the Sooners, he caught 173 passes for 3,292 yards and 32 touchdowns over three seasons. After his junior year, he was named a consensus All-American upon leading the Big 12 in touchdown catches with 14. His reception total ranks him second in school history behind only Ryan Broyles, while his yardage total ranks him third, behind Broyles and Sterling Shepard. The Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 7-10 season in which they failed to make the playoffs for the first time since Lamb's rookie year. They open the regular season Thursday, September 4, on the road against the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce ranks 37th on the 2025 NFL Top 100 list
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been one of the league's most dominant players, and his selection on the "NFL Top 100" program was a reminder that he's still elite heading into his 13th season. Kelce, returning for the 2025 season, still ranks in the top ten in the league in his position and among the best overall. His ranking of 37th acknowledges that he's not producing the exact numbers as in past seasons, but is still valued and essential to the Chiefs' offense, with teams constantly planning against him. Kelce finished with seven catches for 117 yards in Kansas City's divisional-round playoff victory over the Houston Texans last season, marking his ninth 100-yard game in his postseason career. He broke a record set by legendary San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice, who had eight in his career. The ten-time Pro Bowler posted 823 yards with three touchdowns on 97 receptions last season. Kelce enters the 2025 season behind Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten for third all-time in tight end yards. He is only 896 yards behind Witten for second place. This article originally appeared on Chiefs Wire: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce ranks 37th on the 2025 NFL Top 100 list
