Jordynne Grace and Stephanie Vaquer are said to be main-roster bound. Upon joining WWE this year, Jordynne Grace reportedly inked a main-roster level deal, though her initial steps would lead her to WWE's development brand of NXT. Most recently, Grace challenged Stephanie Vaquer, albeit unsuccessfully, for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Battleground. Looking ahead, she is now slated to ascend to WWE's main roster. Advertisement According to Cory Hays of Grace is expected to join the WWE SmackDown roster imminently. The blue brand also recently became the home to former NXT Women's Champion Giulia. Grace and Giulia previously faced off to determine Vaquer's Battleground opponent, with Grace emerging victorious. Tiffany Stratton currently serves as the WWE Women's Champion on the blue brand. Following her shocking NXT Women's Championship loss to Jacy Jayne, Vaquer is also due for a main roster call-up. Hays reports that 'La Primera' will soon move to the WWE Raw brand. Last month, Vaquer made a pair of appearances on WWE's red brand, the first of which pitted her against WWE Women's World Champion IYO SKY in a non-title match. The following week, she defeated Ivy Nile in singles competition. In coming to Raw, Vaquer will join the likes of SKY, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Roxanne Perez, who officially signed with the brand last week. You lost our world title to a different guy from a company from a different company.' "So I don't go, hey, great job, buddy. Thanks for trying really hard and losing our title to a different company. With this latest scheduling decision, WWE once again appears unafraid to place its programming directly opposite AEW's. AEW vs WWE: A renewed rivalry? The overlapping schedule hasn't gone unnoticed by wrestling fans or AEW President Tony Khan. When asked about the increasing number of WWE events scheduled against AEW pay-per-views, Khan quipped that it felt reminiscent of 'the Jim Crockett Promotions era' but promised things 'will go a lot differently this time.' Meanwhile, online reactions from fans were mixed. Some accused WWE of 'sabotaging' AEW's biggest show of the year, while others joked about the increasing tension between the two companies. 'This makes WWE look scared, weak, and spiteful' one user wrote on X. Others pointed out that the move indicates WWE sees AEW as genuine competition and doesn't view NXT as merely a developmental brand anymore. With both companies pulling out all stops for their summer showcases, fans now face a tough decision. Whether it's the grandeur of AEW's All In or the nostalgia and intensity of WWE's NXT Great American Bash, July 12 promises to be a defining day in modern pro wrestling. This came as a huge blow to two top NXT stars who were at the top of their game. Which NXT Champions lost their titles after the Battleground PLE? Two huge title matches were set in stone for the May 27th edition of WWE NXT. The first one saw the narcissist Ethan Page challenging Ricky Saints for the NXT North American Championship. The duo had begun to brawl even before the match officially started. This led to General Manager Ava coming down and turning the title bout into a no-disqualification match. Following the change in stipulation, they clashed in a classic showdown, which garnered loud cheers from the WWE Universe. The action spilled across the ringside and was an evenly matched contest. It came down to the final moments as All Ego connected with his finishing move on Saints to become the new NXT North American Champion. In the main event, Stephanie Vaquer was set to defend her NXT Women's Championship against Jacy Jayne following their backstage altercation at Battleground. La Primera took control of the bout, but Jayne also fought back with her fury. The match was a captivating sight as both competitors realised what was at stake. In a shocking twist, as Vaquer had connected with the Devil's Kiss, Jayne's cohorts, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx came into the mix. On the side of the ring, Nyx distracted the referee, and Henley nailed Vaquer with a kick and rolled her into the ring. Jayne put the final nail in the coffin by hitting a thunderous punch and pinning The Dark Angel to win the NXT Women's Championship in a major shocker, which has now changed the landscape of the brand.
