‘NYT Mini' Crossword Hints For Saturday May 31: Clues And Answers For Today's Game
Answers for today's NYT Mini Crossword are just ahead. Before we get to today's NYT Mini crossword hints, clues and answers, here are Friday's: Wondering what sea creature has the scientific name Monodon monoceros? Not sure what a ballet-inspired fitness class might be? Don't worry, because I'm here to help you with extra hints and the answers for today's NYT Mini crossword. The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. It took me 2:30 to complete today's NYT Mini. Not a bad time for a Saturday Mini. I'll take that. BARRE was one that I had to rely on the Down answers to fill out. I always think of shots in football (I can't call it soccer, sorry) as being "at goal" not ON GOAL, so that one tripped me up. I thought STERN might have been "harsh" and YARD might be "home," so those slowed me down a bit once I got to the Down clues. I'll be back with you tomorrow for more NYT Mini fun! Today's NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Saturday, May 24
Mini Crossword NYT In case you missed Friday's NYT Mini, you can find the answers here: The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer. To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers (spoilers lie ahead, of course): ACROSS 1) "Get a load of ___!" - THIS 5) Ability to keep one's balance on a ship - SEALEGS 8) Army shirt? - TANKTOP 9) Chicago trains - ELS 10) Wand-waving org. - TSA 11) Flowers depicted in classical Chinese art - PEONIES 13) By oneself - ALONE 14) Phileas ___, "Around the World in Eighty Days" protagonist - FOGG DOWN 1) Something "read" in the divination method of tasseography - TEALEAF 2) Sci-fi hero with the line "Never tell me the odds" - HANSOLO 3) Kind - ILK 4) Where a story takes place - SETTING 5) Lather, rinse or repeat - STEP 6) "Take a look for yourself!" - GOSEE 7) Places to get pampered - SPAS 12) Eggy holiday drink - NOG Mini NYT This isn't really a Mini today, it's more of a Medium with clues up to #14 and some seven letter answers, which are never easy. Unless they're HAN SOLO. That was easy. Some clever clues in here like which I thought was going to be some sort of Harry Potter reference. The Army shirt is not camo anything, but TANKTOP is a nice play on words. Fun puzzle. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.
