Nada Mustafa Egypt has welcomed the announcement by Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Mark Carney and Maltese Prime Minister (PM) Robert Abela of their countries' intention to recognize Palestinian state. Egypt affirmed that this growing international momentum toward recognition constitutes a historic step that contributes to the realization of a Palestinian state, a goal long advocated by Egypt and the Arab nations, in pursuit of restoring the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, according to a statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Moreover, Egypt reiterated its call for all countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to urgently take this step, in order to stand on the right side of history and support the implementation of the two-state solution, thereby ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Egypt, U.S. FMs Discuss Strategic Partnership, Regional Crises in Washington
Nada Mustafa Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Dr. Badr Abdelatty, met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington to discuss ways of strengthening the close bilateral ties between Egypt and the United States (U.S.), as well as to exchange views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern. Durong their meeting, Abdelatty conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to President Donald Trump, affirming Egypt's pride in its longstanding strategic partnership with US. Moreover, he expressed Egypt's keenness to continue close coordination and cooperation with the U.S. administration under President Trump's leadership to deepen the partnership in political, security, military, and economic spheres, especially during this critical period for the Middle East. He also reiterated Egypt's interest in resuming the U.S.-Egypt Strategic Dialogue on a regular basis. Both ministers explored avenues to boost economic, trade, and investment cooperation. In this regard, Abdelatty praised the outcomes of the Egypt-U.S. Business Forum held in Cairo last May, which saw the participation of more than 50 American companies, including 12 firms entering the Egyptian market for the first time. This, he noted, reflects Egypt's commitment to attracting foreign investment and enhancing economic partnerships with the United States. Furthermore, the two ministers emphasized the importance of continuing coordination to convene a new round of meetings for the Joint Economic Commission and another edition of the Egypt-U.S. Business Forum to expand bilateral economic cooperation. The talks included extensive discussions on urgent regional developments, foremost among them the catastrophic situation in Gaza, the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, and ongoing challenges in Libya, Syria, Lebanon, and Africa, as well as concerns related to Egypt's water security. On the Palestinian issue, Abdelatty reiterated the necessity of reaching a permanent ceasefire agreement in Gaza. He emphasized the importance of ending bloodshed and ensuring the sustained flow of humanitarian aid into the besieged territory, which is suffering from a deliberate Israeli starvation policy. He also called for urgent action to address the worsening humanitarian crisis and stressed the need to revive a political horizon for a just and sustainable resolution to the Palestinian cause. This includes restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. In addition, Abdelatty expressed hope for continued close collaboration with the U.S. administration to lay the foundation for comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East that serves all peoples of the region. Regarding Sudan, the two ministers discussed the importance of securing a ceasefire and facilitating humanitarian access. In the same context, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's support for Sudanese state institutions, emphasizing respect for Sudan's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. As for Egypt's water security, Abdelatty conveyed Egypt's concerns over the Nile River issue and reaffirmed Egypt's position that any agreement must comply with international law governing transboundary water resources. He stressed the urgent need to reach a legally binding agreement regulating the operation of the Ethiopian dam and rejected Ethiopia's unilateral actions, which violate international norms. Moreover, FM affirmed that Egypt will take all measures permitted under international law to safeguard its water security. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Nida Saleh Malik Becomes Pakistan's First Female Train Driver
Nada Mustafa In a landmark achievement that blends personal ambition with national progress, Nida Saleh Malik has made history as Pakistan's first female train driver. What began as a childhood fascination with the sounds and movement of trains has culminated in a groundbreaking career that challenges deep-rooted gender norms. Operating the Orange Line Metro Train in Lahore, Nida now guides one of the city's busiest transport systems with professionalism and poise. Her journey to the front of the train was neither easy nor typical, especially in a field long dominated by men. Initially, her family had reservations about her career choice. But Nida's persistent passion and commitment gradually won their support. 'They weren't comfortable at first, but when they saw I was serious, they stood by me,' she recalled in a recent TV interview. Nida's path was fueled by a strong academic background; she studied Transportation Engineering and joined the Lahore Metro as an engineer. Her advocacy for greater female inclusion in technical roles did not go unnoticed. When new driver positions opened, she was selected not for symbolic representation, but on the basis of her skill and capability. Her daily routine begins before dawn, as she conducts thorough safety checks to ensure reliable service for the thousands who ride the metro each day. 'This achievement isn't just mine,' Nida emphasized. 'It's a message to every girl in Pakistan that their dreams matter, no matter how untraditional they may seem.' The news of her appointment has resonated across the country. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif praised her success as a 'proud moment for the nation,' reaffirming the provincial government's focus on advancing gender equality in all sectors. While women in Pakistan have made strides in politics, education, and sports, industries like transportation and engineering have remained resistant to change. Cultural norms and systemic challenges have often sidelined women from such professions. Nida's role marks a shift toward meaningful representation, one where women are trusted with responsibility, not merely visibility. In a society where public mobility and safety concerns often restrict women's freedom, Nida's presence in the driver's cabin of a metro train is more than symbolic; it's a statement of empowerment, opportunity, and progress. Her story paves the way for others to follow and helps redefine what's possible for women in Pakistan. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Egypt, Ukraine Deepen Agricultural Cooperation to Boost Grain, Oil Exports
Nada Mustafa On July 30, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mykola Nahornyi, held a meeting with the senior management of Egypt's National Agency for Strategic Procurement and Sustainable Development – Mostakbal Misr. During the substantive discussion, both sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the context of increasing Ukrainian agricultural exports to Egypt — notably grain and sunflower oil. A set of specific steps was endorsed for implementation in the near future to achieve the shared ambitious goals. Egypt remains Ukraine's largest trading partner in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. In the first half of 2025, bilateral trade reached USD 947.9 million, including USD 776.5 million in Ukrainian exports — primarily wheat (1.31 million tons), corn (1.06 million tons), and soybeans (0.36 million tons). Ukraine continues to play a vital role in ensuring global food security and reaffirms its commitment to supporting stable deliveries of high-quality agricultural products to the Egyptian market — both through private agribusinesses and in cooperation with governmental institutions, including Mostakbal Misr. The agreed measures aim not only to expand trade volumes, but also to provide the efficiency, timeliness, and transparency of logistical processes. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Egypt Follows Up on Boat Tragedy Involving Egyptian Nationals off Libya's Tobruk Coast
Nada Mustafa The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptians Abroad is closely following the tragic incident involving the sinking of a boat carrying a number of Egyptian nationals off the coast of Tobruk, Libya. The Ministry is coordinating with authorities in the sisterly State of Libya to address the situation. Upon receiving initial information about the incident, the Egyptian Consulate General in Benghazi promptly dispatched a delegation to Tobruk, according to a statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The team immediately began coordinating with the relevant Libyan authorities to assess the condition of the Egyptians who were aboard the boat, the statement added. Efforts led to the identification of several bodies, and the necessary procedures have been initiated to transport them across the land border after confirmation by their families in Egypt. The consulate continues to coordinate with Libyan counterparts to finalize the transfer of other remains once their identities are confirmed. At the same time, the consulate is monitoring the conditions of a number of survivors and is preparing for their return to Egypt once ongoing investigations are completed. In addition, the Ministry reaffirmed its ongoing coordination with the Consulate General in Benghazi to follow up on all matters related to the transfer of the deceased and the swift repatriation of the survivors. In light of the Egyptian state's strong commitment to protecting its citizens and ensuring their safety, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migration urges all citizens to refrain from undertaking irregular migration, given its severe risks and the danger of falling prey to human trafficking networks, according to the statement. Moreover, Egypt reiterated its dedication to continuing efforts to provide safe alternatives and legitimate opportunities for youth, through training and capacity-building programs as well as expanding channels for legal migration in coordination with partner countries. Furthermore, the Ministry extended its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, praying that God grants them mercy and provides their loved ones with patience and solace. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
