Deendayal's ‘integral humanism' behind Modi govt's welfare measures: Nadda
The Narendra Modi government has empowered women, farmers and marginalised sections of society by taking various measures for them, while others only talked about doing so, BJP president and Union Minister J P Nadda said on Sunday. From putting the country on the path of economic progress to lifting 25 crore people above the poverty line, the government under PM Narendra Modi's leadership has launched varioius welfare schemes for all sections, drawing inspiration from Jana Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya's idea of 'integral humanism', Nadda said. The BJP chief was addressing the valedictory session of a two-day conclave to commemorate 60 years of Upadhyaya's lectures on integral humanism. 'Our traditions were not created in two days; they are a result of experiences of thousands of years,' he said, stressing the need to expound Indian economic thought. Nadda said that India as a country of 140 crore people cannot be centralised. 'We have to be a decentralised system,' he said. 'World standards cannot be the standards we have to adhere to; we have to have our Indian standards,' he said. He said this might not have seemed possible in Upadhyaya's time, but under PM Modi's leadership every parameter was being prepared around Indian standards. He said Upadhyaya at that time advocated 'swadeshi' and India could say today that self-reliance is the order of the times. 'We were even purchasing idols of Ganesh ji from China. Today, we are third in the toy industry,' Nadda said. 'We are also third in the automobile market.' He said that India had made strides in defence production too. 'We witnessed the success of Operation Sindoor and that of the BrahMos (missiles) as well. Our defence production has reached `1.3 crore,' he said. Under PM Modi, India had established an economic model aligning 'integral humanism; with 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas', he said. Recalling Upadhyaya's message that the economy was not assessed from the person on the top of the ladder but the one at its bottom, Nadda said, 'We have taken inspiration from his Antyodaya concept (uplifting the poorest).' Nadda underlined that Upadhyaya was the inspiration for the free gas cylinder scheme — PM Ujjwala Yojana — for women. He said Swachh Bharat Mission and welfare schemes for farmers launched by the PM were also inspired by Upadhyaya. He said the government has provided cooking gas connections to more than 10 crore households, constructed 12 crore toilets and built four crore pukka houses. There is a need to understand how the government under Modi's leadership has empowered women, farmers and the marginalised sections of society, and brought them into the mainstream, he said. "Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya looked to create own ideology to move away from western thought": Union Minister JP Nadda
New Delhi [India], June 1 (ANI): Union Minister J P Nadda on Sunday visited the 'Ekatma Manavvad' exhibition, also known as 'Integral Humanism' in New Delhi, which is dedicated to showing the philosophy proposed by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. An event was also organised to highlight the contributions of Pandit Deen Dayal to the country and economy. 'Deen Dayal ji was a three-in-one, a leader in its own right, a thinker and organiser. That is why we hear that Guruji (MS Gowalkar) also said that if we get 4 Deen Dayal's, then I can bring change in the world. We also know how in a short duration he established Jana Sangh a national party,' J P Nadda said. Talking about how the Jana Sangh founder wanted to move away from 'western political thought, and establish an Indian thought instead. 'He went away, but he did the work of planting the seed of the party's ideology...I also want to point that there was an influence of western political thinking in India. Whatever ideology is there, Fabian socialism, socialism, capitalism, communism, they came from outside India to impose on us. In such a situation, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya said that we have to create our own ideology and take it forward by giving prominence to Indian thinking,' Nadda said during the program. 'Which is why he took this forward with Integral Humanism, 'Ekatma Manavvad'... We have to be a decentralized system and hence he strengthened economic progress,' he added. Encouraging people to bring forth the ideals of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, he said, '60 years ago, he gave a 4-day lecture on ideology, and now we, 60 years later are organising a 2 day program on this, so I believe it is good, and I would like to tell people that we shouldn't stop here, we should demonstrate it and move it forward, and give it a shape.' Nadda further advocated for a decentralised system of governance, which takes into account the huge population and various regions of the country. '...Our traditions have not been made in 2 days, it has taken thousands of years, and it is valuable to society, and economy. We need to demonstrate this with an economic point of view too. We are such a big nation of 140 crore people, to run this country we cannot be a centralised system, we have to be a decentralized system and hence he (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya) strengthened economic progress,' Nadda said. Quoting Pandit Deen Dayal, Nadda said that the words of the Jana Sangh founder are becoming a reality under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'He said, 'World standards cannot be the standards we have to adhere to, we need to set our own standards'. When Deen Dayal said this, it might have looked like it is impossible, but today this has become possible under the leadership of PM Modi. We are preparing all parameters on Indian standards.' Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also attended the program, underlining the resolve to build power to defend against anyone who attacks us, a veiled reference to Operation Sindoor. 'Our country's sages said, 'Atmavat Sarva Bhuteshu' (meaning 'treat all beings as if they were your own self')... But on the other hand, we also say that to apply such a principle, we need strength and power. We have to save our existence, not only for ourselves but also for the world... That is why we do not leave anyone who attacks us... We will have to do that,' Chouhan said. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was the leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh from 1953 to 1968, the precursor to the Bharatiya Janata Party. Born on September 25, 1916, in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district, in the village of Nagla Chandrabhan, his father was a well-known astrologer. Pandit Deen Dayal also established a publishing house, various magazines and daily newspapers too. On February 11, 1968, he died under mysterious circumstances after boarding a train in UP. (ANI)

Modi govt. believes in helping the last man in the queue, says Nadda
From putting the country on the path of economic progress to lifting 25 crore people above the poverty line, the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership has taken various measures for the welfare of all sections of society, drawing inspiration from former Jan Sangh leader Deendayal Upadhyaya's idea of integral humanism, said Union Minister and BJP president J.P. Nadda here on Sunday. Mr. Nadda was delivering the valedictory address at a two-day conference on the completion of 60 years of Upadhyaya's ideological formulation of integral humanism. Mr Nadda said Upadhyaya had felt that 'a vast country like India cannot be governed successfully through a centralised system but rather through a decentralised one'. Welfare goals He added that the development of the last man in the queue was fundamental to the concept of integral humanism, and this was reflected in the welfare policies undertaken by the Modi government. 'The Modi government has empowered women, farmers and marginalised sections of society by taking various measures for them, while others only talked about doing so,' he said, mounting a veiled attack on the Congress and other Opposition parties. He said that the government had provided cooking gas connections to more than 10 crore households, constructed 12 crore toilets and built four crore pucca houses. 'There were lots of discussions on farmers. Every politician started becoming a farmer leader. However, it was our Atal Bihari Vajpayee first (during his term as the Prime Minister) and then Prime Minister Narendra Modi who changed the destiny of farmers, taking inspiration from Upadhyaya's integral humanism,' he said, For farmers' welfare, the Modi government had taken various measures and rolled out the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, soil health card programme and crop insurance scheme, he added. Under Mr. Modi's leadership, India became the fourth largest economy in the world and is proceeding towards achieving self-reliance in various sectors, including defence. 'We witnessed the success of Operation Sindoor and that of BrahMos (missiles) as well. Our defence production has reached ₹1.3 lakh crore (in terms of value),' he said.

Nadda backs CM, calls him a ‘loyal soldier of party's ideology'
Jaipur: Rejecting the notion of a political compromise in the appointment of Bhajan Lal Sharma as chief minister, BJP national president JP Nadda Saturday lauded his contribution to the party while describing him as a "loyal soldier of our (party's) ideology" with a proven track record of dedication to public service. Speaking at the 'Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Women Empowerment' conference in the city, Nadda said, "Making Bhajan Lal Sharma the chief minister is not the main issue; the real issue is appointing a dedicated soldier of the ideology; someone, who along his team, with full power, under Modi ji's leadership, is working tirelessly, day and night, in the service of the state." He also recalled his long association with Sharma. "Bhajan Lal Sharma is someone I've worked with since my youth. I've personally seen his dedication and discipline over the years," said Nadda, backing the move, which was then seen as 'unprecedented' as it sidelined the frontrunners like former CM Vasundhara Raje, ex-state president Satish Poonia and others for the top post. Raje, who was present at the event, said that a woman can handle every responsibility, while paying tribute to Holkar. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo She said, "Women walk the same road home as men, but never complain of being tired. They cook, serve, clean, manage both home and work, and yet, unlike many, they don't throw their shoes and say, 'I'm exhausted.'" Later in a programme on Punyashlok Devi Rani Ahilayabai Holkar's 300th birth anniversary at a private hotel, Nadda credited PM Modi with ushering in a "new political culture" in India over the past decade, one that prioritises accountability, development, and performance over political blame games. He also highlighted achievements of Operation Sindoor for destroying the headquarters of Pakistan-based terror groups - Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed - deep inside enemy territory. Reiterating that India's counter-terror operations will continue as long as Pakistan nurtures terrorism on its soil, he said, "Operation Sindoor has not stopped, and it will not stop until Pakistan corrects its mindset. " Recalling how in the past India responded to attacks like 26/11 with dossiers, he said this is Modi ji's India, a new, decisive India. "We don't send files anymore; we send a message, through action," Nadda declared. He credited Modi's leadership for transforming India's national security doctrine, citing major military responses like the surgical strike, the Balakot air strike, and now Operation Sindoor as proof of India's willingness to strike back, not reactively, but preemptively and with force. "If anyone dares to challenge India, the response will be delivered at their doorstep," he asserted, drawing loud applause from the audience. Nadda claimed that around 9-11enemy military bases and command centres were wiped out in India's counterstrikes when they threatened border areas and cities like Barmer, Srinagar, and Amritsar.

India does not send dossiers any more, we only give a befitting reply, says Nadda
Bharatiya Janata Party national president J.P. Nadda on Saturday (May 31, 2025) said a safe and strong India is marching ahead under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership after the display of the nation's power during Operation Sindoor. 'The operation has only been halted, while the fight against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism will continue,' Mr. Nadda said. Mr. Nadda was on a day's visit to Jaipur to participate in the celebrations marking the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, the former queen of the Malwa kingdom, attend the BJP's 'Tiranga Yatra', and interact with the party workers. He spoke at two functions at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) and the Entertainment Paradise Hall, besides addressing the BJP workers at the Sanganer airport. Mr. Nadda said India had made it clear through its surgical strikes [in Pakistan], air strikes and Operation Sindoor that a 'befitting reply' would be given to the attackers by entering their own territory. 'India does not send dossiers [to Pakistan] any more, like the one after the 26/11 attack. Modi ji doesn't complain, he executes what he says,' he said. The new normal The BJP president said the Operation Sindoor, which had demonstrated India's military capability, had handed down a punishment to Pakistan 'beyond its imagination', as promised by Mr. Modi. 'Nine terror hotspots, including the headquarters of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Jaish-e-Mohammed, were destroyed in 22 minutes. Eleven air bases [in Pakistan] were also destroyed. This is the new normal,' he said. While affirming that Operation Sindoor would continue as long as Pakistan nurtures terrorism, Mr. Nadda called upon the BJP workers to apprise the people of the party's national security policy, and come forward to defend the nation. Disburses aid At the women's empowerment programme at RIC, Mr. Nadda flagged off 150 Kalika patrolling units of the Rajasthan Police and transferred financial assistance to the beneficiaries of Lakhpati Didi Yojana, Lado Protsahan Yojana, SC/ST pre-matric scholarship scheme, and the distance education scheme. He also launched the Swasth Nari Chetana Abhiyan and the Garbh Pathshala Yojana on the occasion. Mr. Nadda, who holds the Health & Family Welfare portfolio as a Minister in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, said the culture of politics had changed in the country after 2014. 'Instead of blame game, every section of society is being empowered now,' he said. 'Modiji has made accountability and responsibility the new definitions of politics. We are willing to give report cards for our work… The double-engine government in Rajasthan is engaged in public service with its new schemes for all sections of society,' Mr. Nadda said. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Bhagirath Choudhary, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and BJP State president Madan Rathore were among those who attended functions along with Mr. Nadda. Mr. Nadda also visited the Raj Bhavan to meet Governor Haribhau Bagade.
