Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Best winger in CAFCC
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is continuing to build his own Amakhosi team. A few players are being released before the Tunisian introduces new names. Despite finishing ninth position in the Betway Premiership, coach Nabi's Nedbank Cup championship has kept him in the job for next season. What's next? According to the latest reports, the Kaizer Chiefs tactician is closing in on his next winger. The target has been found in East Africa. Reports in Tanzania have revealed that Simba SC's speedy winger Denis Kibu is on Amakhosi's radar. The 26-year-old topped the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) dribbling ranking with 23 dribbles, while also earning a place in the CAFCC Team of the Season. In terms of goals, Kibu scored four in 13 games for Simba in the CAFCC. In the Tanzanian Premier League, the Kaizer Chiefs target scored six goals and made three assists in 15 matches. Nasreddine Nabi is the 'new Ten Hag'
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is set to stay at the club next season despite exit reports. The 59-year-old Tunisian guided Amakhosi to their first cup win in 10 years. Nabi was unable to inspire the team in the Betway Premiership as they finished ninth this season with only eight wins. According to Soccer Laduma , Kaizer Chiefs management has decided to give Nabi another chance. 'For now, we know that the coach will be joining the team on the pre-season tour and camp. Yes, to a certain extent, we say his future is not yet clear but for the pre-season training. I am certain he will apparently be joining them. He has suggested some players whom he would like to sign and he has to be there to see that happen. That's where things are believed to be right now,' the insider told Soccer Laduma . Last season, Nabi joined Kaizer Chiefs in Turkey for their pre-season tour after concluding his business in Morocco. He brought in a total of 10 players, but only four of them featured permanently in his starting lineup. The likes of Thabo Cele and Miguel Inacio brought experience and leadership in the Chiefs lineup, with Makabi Lilepo giving Amakhosi the needed firepower upfront. Nabi's season is reminiscent of Erik ten Hag's 2023/24 season with Manchester United, where they finished eighth in the league but managed to win the FA Cup against their rivals, Manchester City. The Dutch coach was allowed another season to demonstrate his capabilities, but ultimately, he was sacked just three months into the new campaign. Similarly, Nabi has secured the Nedbank Cup, which is the South African equivalent of the FA Cup, by defeating his rivals. If the Chiefs decide to retain the former Yanga coach, it could result in another wasted season next year. Kaizer Chiefs (EXITS): Over R10-million worth of attackers
Kaizer Chiefs are set to offload a plethora of talent across every position. A total of NINE Kaizer Chiefs players are facing likely exits. So, a couple of attackers are linked with probably departures. Chiefs striker, Ranga Chivaviro is set to leave the Soweto giants at the end of the season. The former Marumo Gallants striker has struggled to impress Nasreddine Nabi and Amakhosi management. Meanwhile, he is not in Nabi's future plans. So, it is vital for him to find a new club in order to play more frequently. Interestingly, he is currently valued at over R4 million, according to Transfermarkt. Tashreeq Morris is the latest Chiefs attacker facing a likely departure. According to SNL, the former SuperSport Striker is set to be loaned out at the end of the season. He has failed to impress Amakhosi management since joining Chiefs at the start of the season. Morris registered a lowly two goals in 20 appearances for Amakhosi accross all competitions. As a striker, this is simply not up to standard. Therefore, over R10 million worth Chiefs players face likely exits. Meanwhile, Chiefs have identified this Bafana Bafana attacker as one of their potential replacements and main transfer targets.
