Cyberabad Commissionerate marks June 2 celebrations with gusto
Hyderabad: The 11th Telangana State Formation Day was celebrated with utmost enthusiasm on June 2 at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The event commenced with the National Flag being unfurled by Cyberabad police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty. The Commissioner also received the Guard of Honour from the Parade Commander. On this occasion, the commissioner emphasised the importance of collective effort in building a strong and progressive Telangana. He called upon all personnel to serve with unity, dedication, and renewed energy. 'By giving our best in every role, we can make a meaningful impact and uphold the true spirit of service,' he stated. He concluded by extending his best wishes to all, saying, 'I hope you achieve great success in your career.' Mayor calls for united efforts towards state's progress
Hyderabad: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), urged everyone to unite with commitment for the development of Telangana. The Mayor, along with Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, unfurled the National Flag at the GHMC headquarters,on State Formation Day on Monday. On this occasion, the Mayor conveyed her warm greetings to the citizens of Greater Hyderabad, Telangana activists, corporators, and other public representatives. 'Numerous individuals sacrificed their lives during the Telangana struggle, and on this occasion, we honour and remember them,' she said. Vijayalakshmi urged everyone to unite with commitment towards the progress of the state and GHMC, ensuring that Telangana continues its journey of development, and that each person plays a role in the city's advancement. On this occasion, Mayor Vijayalakshmi along with Shoban Reddy and Karnan distributed PPE kits to sanitation, veterinary, and entomology workers. Later, the Mayor briefly explained the initiatives that have been launched, and are currently in progress within GHMC, including H-Citi, SRDP, SNDP, desiltingefforts, beautification projects, water logging, community development, skill enhancement, PM Svanidhi, food safety measures, urban biodiversity initiatives, and various other programmes. Additional Commissioners, Sneha Shabarish, Raghu Prasad, Venugopal, Subhadra Devi, Nalini Padmavati, Geetha Radhika, Yadagiri Rao, Ashok Samrat, CCP Srinivas, CE Sahadev Ratnakar, Additional CCPs Venkanna, Pradeep, EVDM Additional SP Srinivas, Chief Medical Officer Dr Padmavati, and other officers were present. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRA) Commissioner AV Ranganath unfurled the National flag at Buddha Bhavan on Monday. The Commissioner emphasised the importance of unity in achieving the aspirations and goals of the people of Telangana. After many dreams, we have finally attained a separate state, he said, and urged everyone to collaborate in turning those dreams into reality. CommissionerRanganath mentioned that the state government has established HYDRA and has committed to safeguard tanks, canals, and both government and public properties. Furthermore, it has mandated that efforts be made to prevent loss of life and property during natural disasters and to provide support to the community.

Telangana: Singareni to venture into other minerals and crucial minerals field
Hyderabad, June 2 (UNI) Singareni Collieries company (SCCL) Limited, a government-owned-coal mining corporation in India, has decided to venture into the field of other minerals and crucial minerals. We have already established consulting agencies and initiated studies on opportunities, said Singareni Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) after hoisting the National Flag on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day celebrations held at Kothagudem. The central government also gives high priority to the production of key minerals, and accordingly, Singareni has decided to enter this sector, he said. Recently, an understanding was reached to jointly produce key minerals in Australia's Queensland as a joint venture company, not just within the country but internationally as well, he informed. Under this agreement, in addition to the 1200 MW thermal power currently being produced by Singareni Thermal Power Plant, we are planning to establish another 800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal plant at the same location, he said. Similarly, in the coming future, we will set up another 1600 MW plant near Naini Block (Odisha) and with this, our total thermal power generated by Singareni will exceed 4000 MW, he said. We are also planning to complete two phases of solar power plants totaling 504 MW within Singareni, including a 300 MW floating solar plant above Manair Dam and another 500 MW floating solar plant above Mallanna Sagar, he informed. Studies have also begun on the construction of pumped storage power plants and wind power generation, he said. Near Manuguru area, at Pagiduru, a geothermal power plant has already been constructed experimentally and electricity production has commenced, the CMD said based on this, the management has decided to establish a 200-megawatt geothermal plant there as well. All these measures are part of plans aimed at providing a solid financial foundation and a promising future for Singareni, he added. UNI KNR RN
