Take a tour inside Nawazuddin Siddiqui's glamorous Bungalow in Mumbai
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of Bollywood's most critically acclaimed actors and a household name. The versatile actor has successfully touched the hearts of both the public and critics with the poignant and compelling characters he portrays. The sky's the limit for his progressing career. However, it was not always the case. The Manto actor had a rather humble upbringing. His residence in Mumbai stands as a stark reminder that success comes to those who remain persistent. Nawaz is humble and true to his craft, a quality that is brightly reflected in every conversation he holds. Let's take a look at his house and how Nawaz has embraced minimalism in decorating his abode. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Dream Nest Is a Fusion Between Modern And Vintage Architecture Staying true to its name, the house gives glimpses of the Nawabi architecture with its sun-kissed patio, hardwood stairs, white marble exterior, and opulent motif. Nawaz wanted a space with a cozy and homely vibe where he could take a step back and relax. The entrance features a wooden French door. The hall is adorned with a wooden billiard table and posters of famous plays by Moliere and Shakespeare at every corner. The inspiration behind this is the corridor of the National School of Drama. There is also a tiny bar in one corner with a sitting area for guests. Nawaz mentions that he loves to experiment with different aesthetics and colors. The cosmopolitan ambiance of the house aligns with the actor's deep understanding of interior planning. One of the main attractions of his home is the hall upstairs, where he relaxes and watches films. He decided to install big windows so he wouldn't feel suffocated. The room leads you to a small balcony, which is surrounded by Jali carving white marble railings. Lush greenery graces the area and fills it with serenity. He then escorts us to his makeup room, whose big attraction is a gigantic Hollywood-style wooden vanity mirror. Next, Nawaz invites the viewers to his terrace, which serves as an escape from the noise of the city. He spends most of his evenings there, chatting with his peers. According to the actor, his bedroom is the smallest room in the house. He jokingly mentions that he wants to stay true to his roots. With minimal furnishing, the room is stylishly decorated with a poster and a few planters. The next visit is to another hall, which Nawaz calls the busiest corner of the house. He has decorated the walls with posters of some of the most notable plays and playwrights. Nawaz lovingly christened his residence 'Nawab' as a homage to his father, who had a significant impact on his life. Not just a structure of bricks and stones, Nawaz wanted a memoir of his childhood home in Uttar Pradesh. He wanted a space where time stood still. That is why he curated the house in a way that takes him on a stroll down memory lane. Nawab, nestled in Mumbai's Versova, is where luxury meets sophistication. He has embellished every corner of the house with ornaments that hold deep value to him.

I try to avoid characters of same mentality: Rajpal Yadav on being typecast for comedy roles in Bollywood
New Delhi [India], May 31 (ANI): Actor Rajpal Yadav, who is known for his comedy roles in films like 'Hungama', 'Chup Chup Ke' and Bhool Bhulaiyaa', opened up about being typecast for his comic roles in his over two-decades-long acting career in Bollywood. In a conversation with ANI, the actor admitted that he tends to avoid scripts that offer him a role with the same 'mentality' as his previous characters, which he has already portrayed in his past films. 'Mujhe nhi pata mai tragedy karta hoo, comedy ya serious. Mai saubhagyashaali hoo ki mai ek baar ye character jee loo, toh, dossri baar uss character ko choone ki ikcha nhi karti, pyaar bhut karta hoo, lekin mujhe koi agar same mansikta ka character suna de to mai koshish karta hoo ki ya toh usse mai bach jaau ya usse koi idea suna doo jisse uski mentality change ho jaae. (I don't know if I do tragedy or comedy, or serious. I am fortunate that I am able to live as a character, but then I don't want to touch that character again. I love it a lot. But if someone pitches me a character with the same mentality, then I try to escape it. Otherwise, I tell them the idea and change their mentality),' said Rajpal Yadav. However, throughout much of his career, the actor has frequently appeared in comedy films, which has led to a common perception in the Bollywood industry that Rajpal Yadav is primarily a comedic actor. When asked whether he ever felt typecast for his roles in the Bollywood industry, the 'Hungama' actor clarified that he never felt restricted by such labels. According to him, his versatile body of work has enabled him to explore a wide range of characters throughout his acting career. 'Nahi, uljhe kabhi nhi rhe. Kyoki jab hum log NSD (National School of Drama) me the, hum baat krte the ki voh typecast ho gya, ye typecast ho gya. Toh aap sochiye, 1999 me mujhe pehli baar fimlm me entry krne ka saubhagya mila. 2024 me 25 saal poore hue. Usme leads, supporting leads, comic lead, guest appearances, ek scene se lekar 100 scene me kaam karne ka mauka mila. (No, I was never involved because when we were in NSD, we used to talk about typecasting, this was typecast, that was typecast, that was typecast. In 1999, my first chance to enter the film. In 2024, I completed 25 years. So, almost leads, supporting leads, comic lead, guest appearances, from one scene to 100 scenes),' said Rajpal Yadav. The 'Hungama' actor further added that he loves the 'strength of entertainment' which helped him to perform over 500 characters. 'Mujhe entertainment ki strength se pyaar hah. Mujhe lagbhag 500 charitra jeene ka saubhagya mil gya. Agar aap small plays se lekar 70mm jode toh. (I love the strength of entertainment. I got the chance to live 500 characters. If you add all of them, from a small play to 70 mm),' said Rajpal Yadav. Rajpal Yadav was recently seen in a Zee5 film 'Interrogation'. It was directed by Ajoy Varma Raja. (ANI)

Amruta Subhash opens up about terrifying mob attack on 'Gully Boy' set, credits Ranveer Singh for comforting her: 'I was shivering'
Amruta Subhash recalled being terrified during a wild mob attack while filming 'Gully Boy' in Dharavi. She shivered with fear as the crowd chased their tempo, but Ranveer Singh comforted her by holding her hand and reassuring her that his bouncers were nearby, helping her stay calm amid the chaos. Amruta Subhash , a talented actress known for her work across Marathi and Hindi cinema, television, and theatre, is a graduate of the National School of Drama in New Delhi. In a recent interview, she shared how Ranveer Singh comforted her during a chaotic mob scene while filming 'Gully Boy', helping her stay calm amid the fever. Intense Scene Filmed in Dharavi While talking to Bollywood Bubble and showing a picture with Ranveer from 'Gully Boy', Amruta shared that the photo was taken during a particularly intense scene where they were leaving the house. She described that day as one of the scariest of her life. The tempo used in the scene was set up right inside Dharavi by director Zoya Akhtar , with the set blending so seamlessly into the real location that it was hard to distinguish where Dharavi ended and the set began. The tempo itself looked genuinely old and worn out to reflect their poor characters. Ranveer and Amruta were surrounded by bouncers and extras who appeared to belong naturally in the environment, adding to the realism of the scene. First Experience Outside the Set The actress shared that, for the first time, she had an intense experience stepping outside with Ranveer beyond the usual confines of the vanity van or set during shooting. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Dermatologista recomenda: simples truque elimina o fungo facilmente Acabe com o Fungo Undo While the tempo had moved slightly into the heart of Dharavi, people suddenly began pouring out from the surrounding buildings, running loudly and chasing after the vehicle. Although the tempo wasn't moving fast, the sight of the mob running behind it caused her genuine fear, making her shiver uncontrollably. Ranveer Singh's Comfort Amid Fear The actress said, 'Especially because I mean, it's Ranveer from 'Padmaavat' sitting there, he's a superstar! And the people had started running… it was so scary. I wasn't okay. I was shivering. Ranveer just held my hand. He obviously understood, and he said, 'Amruta, you okay?' I was like, 'No…' So he said, 'My bouncers are around. Don't worry, nothing will happen.' He was pacifying me. And I was still shivering, because the energy of that mob is wild. It's not always happy energy, you know? It's very scary. There's a kind of desperation in it.' Real Fear Behind the Scene She concluded by explaining that if the situation had spiraled out of control, the sheer size of the crowd could have been overwhelming. To cope, she began taking deep breaths while Ranveer continuously reassured her that everything would be fine and there was nothing to worry about, as he was accustomed to such situations. She emphasized that the tension visible on her face in the scene was not her character Raziya's, but her own real fear as Amruta.
