J-K: Ramban administration ensures round-the-clock sanitation for Amarnath Yatra
Ramban (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 13 (ANI): The Ramban district administration has made elaborate and round-the-clock arrangements to ensure cleanliness and sanitation during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, aiming to provide a safe and hygienic environment for pilgrims. According to the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Mohammed Ashfaq Khanji, who is also the Nodal Officer for sanitation during Amarnath Yatra, said that strong measures have been put in place to maintain hygiene at lodgment centres and langar sites, with over 1,200 washrooms and around 200 sanitation workers deployed. Khanji added that supervisory staff are working round the clock, with full support from the Jal Shakti department to ensure there is no shortage of water or lapses in sanitation. He also said that sufficient water is available for maintaining sanitation at these Langar sites and lodgement centres. Speaking to ANI, Mohammed Ashfaq Khanji said, 'We have 8 lodgment centres in rural areas and 4 in urban areas. Around 1200 washrooms are present in lodgment centres and langar sites for which we have hired around 200 sanitation workers... We have also deployed supervisory staff over them, working round the clock... We have a high focus on ensuring there are no lapses in sanitation. We have huge support from the Jal Shakti department, and there is sufficient quantity of water for our work...' Earlier on Saturday, the 10th batch of devotees departed from the Pahalgam's Nunwan base camp for their pilgrimage to the Holy cave of Amarnath. 'Chhari Mubarak', the auspicious mace of Lord Shiva, was taken to Pahalgam from Srinagar for Bhoomi Pujan, Navgrah Pujan and flag hoisting. The 38-day annual Amarnath pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high holy cave shrine in south Kashmir began on July 3 and will conclude on August 9. (ANI)

10th batch of devotees departs for Amarnath Yatra from Pahalgam's Nunwan base camp
Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 12 (ANI): The 10th batch of devotees departed from the Pahalgam's Nunwan base camp for their pilgrimage to the Holy cave of Amarnath on Saturday. Ishika Dhawan, a pilgrim from Lucknow, praised the arrangements made by the government, saying that this was her first time to Amarnath. 'I am from is my first time to Amarnath. The government has made really good arrangements here... I am very excited... I will pray for peace and happiness in the country...' Dhawan told ANI. Yogesh Patel, a pilgrim from Ahmedabad, stated that it was his third time and he was very excited for the darshan. 'This is not my first time here... this is my third time here... I am very excited and I am looking forward to the darshan,' Patel told. Earlier, 'Chhari Mubarak', auspicious mace of Lord Shiva, was taken to Pahalgam from Srinagar for Bhoomi Pujan, Navgrah Pujan and flag hoisting. According to Mahant Deependra Giri, the Dashami Akhara took out the 'Chhari Mubarak' from Srinagar and halted at the Chhari Vishram Sthal in Pahalgam. Bhoomi Pujan, Navgrah Pujan and flag hoisting, following which a havan and meal for the devotees will be organised. The event will conclude after the devotees return to the 'Chhari Vishram Sthal' in Srinagar. 'Today is Ashad Purnima, also known as Guru Purnima. In the morning, the Dashnami Akhara took out the Chhari Mubarak from Srinagar and halted at the Chhari Vishram Sthal in Pahalgam. Here we performed the Bhoomi Pujan, Navgrah Pujan and flag hoisting. Now we will perform a havan followed by a meal for all the devotees. We will return to the Chhari Vishram Sthal in Srinagar and conclude today's event', Mahant Deependra Giri told ANI. The police official informed that, to facilitate the return of the devotees, a green corridor has been established to ensure smooth movement. 'Today is the bhoomi pujan here. Chhari Mubarak has reached Pahalgam. We have deployed our forces to ensure hassle-free movement, so that there is no congestion or jam. For the return, we have also prepared our plan to keep the traffic moving normally, to ensure a jam-free and uncongested area. We are providing them a green corridor so that their movement is completely smooth,' he said. The eighth batch of devotees departed from Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam for their pilgrimage to the Holy cave of Amarnath on Thursday morning. (ANI)

Chandraprabhu Jain Temple Altar Foundation Laid In Bahubali Nagar
Nagpur: The foundation stone laying ceremony of the altar at Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain Temple in Bahubali Nagar was held with religious fervour on Thursday. The event was graced by Jain Acharyashree Suvirsagar Gurudev, who led the ceremony with the motto of "Where there is faith, trust and belief, there is a way. " The ceremony began with Jinendra Abhishek, Pujan, and Vastu Vidhan, followed by Shantidhara performed by Padma Arvind Kahate under the guidance of Pratisthacharya Pt Sandeep Jain Daund. The puja was presented by singer Shubhangi Jain. Chandranath Bhagwatkar laid the foundation stone of the altar, while the first Kurma Shila was installed by the Gillarkar family. Eight additional stones were installed by prominent devotees, including Dr Pranjali Savarkar, Madhuri Jain, and Deepika Mandvekar. The Navgrah Pujan was performed by over 20 young participants from the community. Lighting of lamps was done by dignitaries including Santosh Jain Pendhari, Dr Arvind Bhagwatkar, Dilip Rakhe, and former deputy mayor Manisha Kothe. MLA Krishna Khopde, who was also present, announced that he would fund a shed at the temple once the altar is completed. Suvirsagar further highlighted the role of temples in uniting society and promoting well-being. He said Lord Chandraprabhu's presence would bless devotees with strength and health. Several volunteers and community members contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
