The Wheel of Time Cancelled After 3 Seasons
The Wheel of Time has stopped spinning. Prime Video has cancelled the fantasy drama after three seasons, sources confirm for TVLine. More from TVLine Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Renewed for Season 3, Multi-Year Time Jump Ahead Alan Ritchson Teases 'Intensely Physical' Reacher Season 4 After Filming Cameo in Neagley Spinoff Cancellation Poll Results: The Recently Axed Show You'll Miss the Most Is... The bad news comes five weeks after the Season 3 finale premiered on Prime. As noted by our sister site Deadline, viewership of the lavish series slipped with Season 3, to a point that it could not justify a Season 4 commitment — despite Prime Video working with Sony TV to make the numbers work. Based on the best-selling Robert Jordan fantasy novels, The Wheel of Time tells the story of Rand a'Thor (played by Josha Stradowski), a humble farm boy who learns he is The Dragon Reborn — a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world … or break it. At the end of Season 2, Rand after defeating Ishamael reunited with his friends at Falme and was declared the Dragon Reborn. But in Season 3 (which was primarily based on the fourth book of Jordan's series, The Shadow Rising), the threats against the Light multiplied. The White Tower stood divided, the Black Ajah were running free, old enemies returned to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken kept in hot pursuit of the Dragon… including Lanfear (Natasha O'Keeffe), whose relationship with Rand will marked a crucial choice between Light and Dark for them both. In addition to Stradowski, O'Keefe, Rosamund Pike (as Moiraine Damodred) and Madeleine Madden (Egwene al'Vere), The Wheel of Time starred Daniel Henney as al'Lan Mandragoran, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve al'Meara, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Dónal Finn as Mat Cauthon, Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand, Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale, Ayoola Smart as Aviendha, Sophie Okonedo as Siuan, and Kae Alexander as Min Farshaw. Prime Video's Wheel of Time series was adapted for television by showrunner Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), who served as executive producer with Pike, Rick Selvage, Larry Mondragon, Ted Field, Mike Weber, Marigo Kehoe, Ciaran Donnelly, Justine Juel Gillmer and Dave Hill. ‘Reacher' Star Alan Ritchson Films ‘Neagley' Cameo And Teases Season 4
Alan Ritchson has been spotted filming a cameo for the Reacher spinoff series Neagley with Maria Sten and is teasing Reacher Season 4. Reacher, of course, is the massively popular Prime Video series based on author Lee Child's Jack Reacher book series. Season 1 of Reacher debuted on the streaming platform in 2022, followed by Season 2 in 2023 and Season 3 in 2025. One of Ritchson's co-stars who appeared in a recurring role throughout all three seasons is Sten, who plays his fellow Army Military Police investigator Frances Neagley. In October of 2024, Prime Video gave the green light to Neagley, which naturally begged the question of whether Ritchson would appear in Sten's series. In a Zoom conversation prior to the release of Reacher Season 3 in February, Ritchson and Sten playfully teased the possibility. 'That would make sense, but we cannot confirm that it would make sense,' Ritchson said. 'It just makes sense in a of hypotheticals," while Sten added, 'Yes, we can neither confirm or deny such rumors.' 'Like if he popped in for a couple of episodes,' Ritchson continued 'But it could happen.' 'It could happen,' Sten added. 'But who knows?' Now, Ritchson's appearance in Neagley has been confirmed. In a post by Marquee Sports on X on Saturday, Ritchson and Sten were pictured filming a scene for Neagley at Wrigley Field in Chicago. To prove that Ritchson wasn't Chicago — where Neagley is set — to merely catch a game with Sten, a post by X user Erik House includes a photo with a camera operator filming a scene. Another post by X user Al Yellon shows that Ritchson and Sten weren't actually filming during an actual Chicago Cubs game, but were in the stands with loads of extras in a section of an otherwise empty Wrigley Field. Alan Ritchson personally chronicled his Chicago visit with an Instagram post on Wednesday, where he is pictured in photos on the set of Neagley with Maria Sten, Lee Child and various cast and crew members from the Reacher spinoff series. Of his visit with the Jack Reacher book author, Ritchson wrote in the Instagram post, 'Reacher himself, Lee Child. I wish everyone had the good fortune of being best friends for life with this man like we are, because we are best friends and he is adopting me officially soon I think.' Also included in Ritchson's Instagram post are photos of Ritchson doing prep work in advance of Reacher Season 4. 'Back into stunts with Buster, Eric and team. Season 4 is going to be the most intensely physical season yet. My body is ready,' Ritchson wrote in the Instagram post. In another photo, Ritchson, who is pictured by wardrobe, writes, '[It's] Ritchson concluded the post by writing, 'Season 4 is right around the corner and dare I say … May be the best season yet?' Neagley, of course, will arrive on Prime Video before Reacher Season 4, although the streamer has yet to announce an official release date. The official logline for Neagley reads, 'Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice. "Using everything she's learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.' Neagley also stars Greyston Holt, Jasper Jones, Adeline Rudolph, Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman. The first three seasons of Reacher are available on Prime Video.

A Disappointing Update About ‘Reacher' Season 4's Release Date
Reacher Amazon Prime Alan Ritchson made news a few days ago when he was seen at a Cubs game next to his Reacher co-star, Maria Sten, aka Neagley. The two were not just taking in a casual game, they were filming a show. But not the show you're thinking about, but rather Sten's Reacher spin-off show, Neagley. The fans in the shot were all actors as well, you're not going to be able to control random Cubs fans and you'd have to get all of them to sign releases. The fact that this is Neagley being shot, not Reacher season 4, creates an exhausting update for its upcoming release date. Reacher has not even started filming yet, and Ritchson says they're just starting stunts and picking out his wardrobe (usually one outfit he wears all season). If Reacher isn't filming yet and season 3 ended a little while back, where does that leave Reacher season 4's potential release date. If we're being generous, let's say Reacher season 4 starts filming July 1. With that, we can extrapolate out the past few seasons' timelines. Here are the release dates. Reacher Amazon Reacher season 3 started filming in November 2023. Production wrapped in 2024 ahead of its February 2025 release date. So with filming and postproduction, that's 15 months. And 15 months from July 1, the estimated filming start date, that takes us to October 2026 for a release date. That's 21 months between seasons, or nearly two years. That's 6 months longer than the gap between seasons 2 and 3. Not great. The idea here is that Neagley is supposed to work as a stop-gap, the spin-off focused on the side-character with Reacher clearly making a guest appearance, as we've seen at this recent Cubs game. Amazon has been setting this concept up for a while now, making sure Neagley is in every season, including season 3 where she was not in the book being adapted. And there are no Neagley-specific books, so they're going to be making things up as they go for this one. I think everyone is very tired of 1.5-3-year gaps between streaming seasons at this point, and it appears Reacher is going to be no exception with its spacing only getting longer. ‘Reacher' Star Alan Ritchson Wows Billy Joel With Cover Of Song Classic
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - FEBRUARY 19: Alan Ritchson attends the Lionsgate's "Ordinary Angels" New York ... More Premiere at SVA Theater on February 19, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/WireImage,) Reacher star Alan Ritchson impressed Billy Joel so much with a cover of a classic song of his from The Stranger album that the Piano Man shared it on social media. Ritchson, of course, shot to superstardom with the release of Prime Video's Reacher Season 1 in 2022. Reacher Season 2 debuted in 2023 and the third season of the series wrapped up in March. While Ritchson has made dozens of small screen appearances since 2006 — he played Arthur Curry/Aquaman in a recurring role in Smallville and starred in the lead role in the comedy series Blue Mountain State — his TV career is also rooted in music with an appearance on American Idol Season 3 in 2004. While strolling into the room to sing before judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, Ritchson swooned Abdul with an a capella verse from Stevie Wonder's legendary hit You Are the Sunshine of My Life. Ritchson made it to American Idol's Hollywood round before being voted off of the singing competition. Ritchson recently showed off his singing skills in a video that partially shows his cover of Joel's 1977 hit ballad 'Just the Way You Are,' which is from the Rock and Roll Half of Famer's landmark The Stranger album. In turn, Joel posted the video on his Instagram page on Friday. Accompanying the post featuring Ritchson's soulful interpretation of the song, Joel writes, 'Bringing it into the weekend! Reacher star Alan Ritchson is singing all the right notes.' While some commentators on the post knew of Ritchson's American Idol appearance, others were completely taken aback by the screen star's singing skills. It's unclear who is playing guitar in the video or it's a karaoke track. Ritchson, however, showed off his guitar-playing skills while on American Idol. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - DECEMBER 19: Billy Joel performs at Madison Square Garden on December 19, 2023 ... More in New York City. (Photo by) Even before the success of Reacher Season 3, Alan Ritchson was already signed to return to Season 4 of the series, which was renewed in October of 2024. Ritchson may possibly reprise his role of Jack Reacher earlier than that, though, via Maria Sten's Reacher spinoff series Neagley, which is based on her Reacher character Frances Neagley. In a Zoom conversation with Ritchson and Sten before the premiere of Reacher Season 3, both actors seemed to like the idea of Ritchson making a guest appearence in Neagley. 'That would make sense, but we cannot confirm that it would make sense. It just makes sense in a world of hypotheticals,' Ritchson said, playfully, while Sten added, 'Yes, we can neither confirm or deny such rumors.' Ritchson then added, 'Like if he popped in for a couple of episodes. But it could happen,' before Sten said, 'It could happen. But who knows?' One certainty, though, is that Ritchson will star in the upcoming sci-fi action thriller War Machine, which Netflix acquired from Lionsgate, according to Deadline. In addition, he'll be starring in Amazon MGM Studios upcoming Santa Claus-themed movie The Man with the Bag opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Awkwafina. Billy Joel, meanwhile, is set for a small screen appearance in the two-part Max documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes. Max announced the documentary in March and noted it will be released sometime in 2025. The official summary for the documentary is 'an expansive portrait of the life and music of Billy Joel, exploring the love, loss, and personal struggles that fuel his songwriting. 'With unprecedented access to never-before-seen performances, home movies, and personal photographs, along with extensive, in-depth one-on-one interviews, the documentary intimately explores the life and work of Joel, whose music has endured across generations.' A release date for Alan Ritchson's Reacher Season 4 has not yet been announced.

Matt's Inside Line: Scoop on Psych 4, Criminal Minds, Chicago Med, Daredevil, Cleaning Lady, Doctor Who, a Power Outage and More!
Do Gus and Shawn fans have reason to get Psych'd? What's the prognosis for Chicago Med's season finale? Is a gruesome beach party on tap for the Criminal Minds agents? Read on for answers to those questions and others! (.) More from TVLine Georgie & Mandy Adds Christopher Gorham as Someone From Mandy's Romantic Past... and Future? Chicago Med's Luke Mitchell Previews 'Most Challenging' Episode He's Ever Shot, Talks Ripley/Hannah Breakup Georgie & Mandy EP Reflects on Lance Barber's Return as George Sr. - Will the Young Sheldon Patriarch Recur? There were rumblings of another movie. Any updates? I need gus screaming at my screen again. –DaveWe reached out to franchise co-lead James Roday Rodriguez, who co-wrote the first three standalone flicks, and he said, 'Our creative team is ready and have been ready but, unfortunately, it takes two to tango. If the fans really want to make some noise, they should direct their energy towards the Cock.' As in Peacock, of course. (The streamer itself has no updates to share.) Please hurry with shooting Season 4! I'm having withdrawal symptoms! –CherrylYikes, you'd be wise to tide yourself over with a Seasons 1-3 rewatch. Because the Neagley spinoff is in production now, and since the two shows largely share the same crew, Reacher Season 4 won't get its cameras rolling until after. What can you tease about the finale? –AbbyIt's not about what I can tease, but what showrunner Allen MacDonald just told Inside Line about Season 10's closer: 'Circumstance forces Dr. Charles to face a dark legacy in his family; Goodwin confronts her demons as she makes some deeply difficult decisions, both personal and professional; and there will also be some unexpected faces returning.' But wait, there's more! 'The final minutes of the hour will have some big shocks with lasting ripple effects,' MacDonald warned. 'It's going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans!' Could we get some information about Season 18 please? And a trailer date/stills? –IsabellaWould you settle for… a singular exclusive photo from the new season premiering Thursday, May 8? Because there's a very moody one right above! I've noticed that 2×18 is titled 'I Know What You Did Thirty-Three Summers Ago' while 4×20 is similarly titled 'I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago' — and they both air the same night (April 24). This doesn't seem like a coincidence, and obviously the shows cannot crossover, but is there a reason for them to match? Or am I reading too much into things? I figure it's promotion for the new requel in July, but I'm not sure. –MarvinThat is a very fun coincidence, though I am told by CBS it is merely that — a fun coincidence. Anything you can reveal about the finale? –BernI'll have a tease-filled story going up tonight, after the penultimate Season 1 episode streams on Disney+, but until then I can share that the April 15 episode includes a flashback that gives us better insight into a key event from the series. Is there any chance that Season 2 will drop its three weekly episodes in the morning versus nighttime? None of their specify a time, which I find… curious. – catch, J.T.! Alas, I am assured that each weekly blast of three episodes will indeed release at 9 pm ET/6pm PT, starting Tuesday, April 22. (This is where we all give our bosses/staffs/professors a heads-up that we'll be rolling in late for a month of Wednesdays.) Can you share anything new on ? — ShirleyIf you've been waiting for Thony and Jorge's longtime chemistry to give way to something more than platonic, you'll be pleased with a certain scene in the Fox drama's fourth episode (airing Tuesday, April 15). Any updates on ? –JoeyWe asked around, and…. nope, none at this time. Is there any scoop on when will return? I know NBC announced in a press release that it will be coming back, but I was just curious when to expect it. –FionaI am hearing that The Wall won't return with new episodes until the 2025-26 TV season. Will we see Johnny Sibilly's character, Wilson, in the new season of ? –LeonardoSeeing as most of Hacks' new season takes place on the set of Deborah's late-night series in Los Angeles, the Vegas water inspector (and Marcus' ex) played by Sibilly is unfortunately not seen in Season 4. There are plenty of other fun blasts from the past and surprising guest stars sprinkled in throughout, but we can't divulge any names yet. With . being axed for the third and likely final time, is it possible we'll get a Street-Chris wedding for the finale? Or at least get to see them and Luca one more time before the show wraps? –ShonNah, as suggested by the synopsis for the two-hour series finale airing May 16, it will be business as usual for 20-Squad — and that is 100% by design. As showrunner Andrew Dettmann told me, 'Even if we're no longer airing each week, we want the viewers to feel that Hondo and 20-Squad will go on, that 20-Squad will always be out there taking down the bad guys and protecting the city of L.A.' Will there ever be a second (or more) season of with Toni Collette? Pleaaaase say yes!! Thank you! –ElizabethWould that I could say yes, Elizabeth, but I have just confirmed that The Power is in fact cancelled and will not be returning for Season 2. How soon will reveal what Mrs. Flood meant by the 'absolute terror' ahead? — DougAs you watch this coming Saturday's season opener, you might think she was alluding to the shocking closing sequence — but it sounds like she had something far more specific in mind. 'I absolutely promise you all will be explained,' says showrunner Russell T Davies. 'That 'absolute terror' gets referred to again, and whereas last year [Anita Dobbins] was in four episodes, this year it's the full eight.' Do YOU want scoop or have questions about a favorite show?
