Tesco shoppers go wild for never-before-seen Kinder bar on shelves as fans say they are ‘amazingly good'

TESCO shoppers have gone wild for a never-before-seen Kinder bar after it appeared on shelves. The new bar is made of milk and cocoa cream layered with a crispy cereal shell. 1 And the sought-after treat was posted to the popular New F oods UK Facebook group when it was spotted in Tesco. One savvy shopper spotted the Kinder bar and let other chocolate-lovers know about the product. The post quickly received likes and comments from sweet fans eager to get their hands on the new flavour. Viewers were quick to weigh in with their opinions in the comment section. One wrote: "These are amazingly good." While another said: "Need these." Others quickly tagged their friends and family to let them know about the tasty new bar. The sweet treat is described as a "deliciously light yet indulgent snack" combining Kinder's signature creamy milk and cocoa layers with a crunchy cereal coating. Each bar comes individually wrapped so it is great for taking it on-the-go. Save with secret codes It's a fan favourite as it offers the perfect texture contrast in every bite. Tesco regularly gives shoppers a chance to pick up discounted food through yellow label stickers. These are typically food items that are due to expire and then marked down in price at the end of the day. Recently, the grocery giant has begun giving away some of these discounted products for free at selected stores. It began introducing the freebies across selected Express stores as part of a trial earlier this month. Food marked "CS" is given away for nothing from 9:30pm onwards. Therefore, the free products will only be made available to shoppers who visit these branches after this time. The supermarket giant said it will continue giving some of the end-of-life products to charity as it currently does. Staff will also get priority for the free products reduced earlier in the day. However, any food leftover at this point will be free for shoppers to take home and enjoy. How to save money on your food shop Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save hundreds of pounds a year: Odd boxes - plenty of retailers offer slightly misshapen fruit and veg or surplus food at a discounted price. Lidl sells five kilos of fruit and veg for just £1.50 through its Waste Not scheme while Aldi shoppers can get Too Good to Go bags which contain £10 worth of all kinds of products for £3.30. Sainsbury's also sells £2 "Taste Me, Don't Waste Me" fruit and veg boxes to help shoppers reduced food waste and save cash. Food waste apps - food waste apps work by helping shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses shift stock that is due to go out of date and passing it on to members of the public. Some of the most notable ones include Too Good to Go and Olio. Too Good to Go's app is free to sign up to and is used by millions of people across the UK, letting users buy food at a discount. Olio works similarly, except users can collect both food and other household items for free from neighbours and businesses. Yellow sticker bargains - yellow sticker bargains, sometimes orange and red in certain supermarkets, are a great way of getting food on the cheap. But what time to head out to get the best deals varies depending on the retailer. You can see the best times for each supermarket here. Super cheap bargains - sign up to bargain hunter Facebook groups like Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers regularly post hauls they've found on the cheap, including food finds. "Downshift" - you will almost always save money going for a supermarket's own-brand economy lines rather than premium brands. The move to lower-tier ranges, also known as "downshifting" and hailed by consumer expert Martin Lewis, could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your food shop. Tesco is not the only retailer to give away discounted food through yellow sticker bargains. Rather than red or yellow, Lidl puts orange stickers on its reduced products, so make sure you don't miss any in your closest store. One former worker for the supermarket revealed when shoppers can find the stickers and get up to 60% off. And Sainsbury's said when staff add yellow stickers to products varies from store to store. As for Aldi, the chain uses red stickers to mark down items in its shops.

Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

Cadbury fans rush to B&M to grab ‘best ever' discontinued 00s chocolate bar

Almost two decades after it disappeared from shelves, an iconic Cadbury favourite popular in the 2000s has been spotted on supermarket shelves once more. The Cadbury Dairy Milk Shortcake Biscuit bars were discontinued back in 2008, but now, they've been given new life. Fans of the sweet treat have spotted it exclusively in B&M across the UK. The snack made it into the New Foods UK Facebook group – and no doubt, chocolate aficionados took a moment to reminisce about its glory days. 'I used to love the UK version of this…it was lush,' penned Kat Palmer, while Charlotte Newbold said 'off to B&M I go!' Meanwhile, Ruby Wren confessed that she used to 'love this one in the early 2000s,' adding that she 'missed it so much.' Kelsey Daniels said 'I want 10 bars please!! This was my fave chocolate!!!!!', and Helen Macleod said it was the 'best ever' treat. In fact, fans of the bar have been so dedicated to the cause that they even created a Facebook group. Their cause was simple: Bring Back The Cadbury Dairy Milk Shortcake Biscuit Bar. What a campaign slogan, hey? Swiftly after learning of their return, Sheyy Jade ran down to B&M, posting a haul of four chocolate bars – and in the comments, Lydia Neave Hodgson admitted to being 'fully stocked up' already. Naturally though, there's a catch. A spokesperson for Mondelēz International told MailOnline that these bars aren't sold directly by the UK branch, and that the B&M bars have come from another market. To date, Cadbury also operates in Ireland, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, Malta, and South Africa. 'We discontinued the similar Cadbury Dairy Milk Shortcake Biscuit bar in the UK in 2008 and we have no current plans to bring the product back,' they confirmed. That's not all that's been going on in the world of Cadbury favourites lately. Earlier this week, the confectionery giant announced it would be launching a brand-new chocolate bar. Known as the Cadbury Twirl White Dipped, the new chocolate takes the iconic Twirl bar that everyone knows and loves and elevates it by dipping the swirled chocolate in a white chocolate coating. Little-known chocolate bar sold in supermarkets is being hailed as 'better than Cadbury' When Cadbury launched their Dairy Milk Biscoff bar, it was sure to be a match made in confectionary heaven. The iconic OG of milk chocolate, combined with a caramelised biscuit that's reached God Tier status. But fans were left 'disappointed' by the collab, saying that they 'couldn't really taste the Biscoff ' and it had a 'grainy' texture. The bar was perhaps not quite what snackers had in mind, with 'crumbs' of Biscoff nestled in the milk chocolate, instead of lashings of the popular spread. But, before you head back to your Biscoff jar with a spoon, there's a delicious alternative you need to know about. In the aisles of Lifestyle Editor Kristina Beanland's local Co-op, she came across Biscoff's own brand Milk Chocolate with Biscoff Spread. It might not have a punchy name, but as a long-time Biscoff lover (she was a fan when it was simply a plastic-wrapped biscuit served with a cuppa), she was intrigued. Do you have a story to share? Aldi shoppers going wild over ‘banging' bakery item that costs just 90p

'Tastes just like a Solero in bun form,' claims one Aldi customer, in response to a snap of a new product that's hit the budget supermarket's shelves. The Specially Selected Passion Fruit Curd Buns are being hyped up as the latest 'obsession' for summer by the retailer. Shoppers can now buy the tropical treat from Aldi in a pack of two for £1.79 (90p each) and they are exactly what you'd expect – iced buns filled with a tangy passion fruit-flavoured curd and topped with a vibrant yellow and white icing. But if you aren't a fruit fan, don't worry as there's also a new chocolate version of the baked good available too. A closer look at the passionfruit buns was shared by New Foods UK on social media and food lovers have been going wild over them. On Instagram, a user named @hannahwellington_ said: 'These look unreal. Bet they taste like [a] passionfruit martini.' While on Facebook Katie Toomey wrote: 'If they are anything like the lemon ones they'll be amazing.' Janet Goff agreed, saying: 'The lemon ones are scrum, so I bet these are too!' Several people had also tried the new product already and had rave reviews to share, with @begum_bakes commenting: 'Can confirm, these are banging.' Similarly, @alicermercer posted: 'I've tried these, they taste just like a Solero in bun form.' And Kerry Murphy added: 'They are absolutely delicious.' The chocolate version hasn't been quite as well received online though, with some branding them 'awful', 'stale' and 'disappointing'. If the buns aren't for you, then you might want to head to rival supermarket Lidl instead. That's because the retailer recently re-launched its beloved Cheesecake Brownie which has been hailed 'the best thing ever' to come out of the shop. More Trending The 89p treat is joined by a brand new addition to the in-store bakery, a Strawberry Cheesecake Doughnut. It offers a 'berry twist' with its creamy, fruity icing atop soft, sugar-dusted dough, making it the perfect choice for those with sweet tooth. What's more, it only costs 79p. Both items are only available for a limited time at Lidl until May 28.
