Oasis legend Noel Gallagher praises Glasgow bakery
Bavarian Bakehouse, which was crowned Wholesale Baker of the Year in 2023, has been serving the city for decades with its selection of freshly baked goods, and the former Oasis songwriter is a huge fan. It's not just the public who are fans of the Glasgow bakery, however, as former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has praised their "soup rolls". Kathleen McShane, managing director of Bavarian Bakehouse, said"During the dinner, Noel kept asking for more of our soup rolls. "He said they were the best he had ever tasted, and the chefs even gave him some to take home with him in a doggy bag." The Bavarian Bakehouse has come a long way since its inception in 1984. Established by German master baker and merchant seaman Karl Wichman, the business was later purchased by former accountant Kathleen McShane more than 14 years ago. READ MORE: I am four-years-old and this is how I am part of the Oasis tour (Image: Supplied) She relocated the factory from Kirkintilloch to its current 4000 square feet premises in 2017, establishing it as a multi-million pound turnover business with a team of 30 skilled staff members. Despite its growth, the bakery has maintained its commitment to traditional baking methods, providing Glasgow and beyond with sourdough, pretzels, cakes, pastries, and traybakes. The bakery has become a popular choice for supplying high-profile events like the Commonwealth Games, the Open Golf at Royal Troon, and even the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards at Kelvingrove Art Gallery. Every week, the bakery produces over 35,000 items using its starter sourdough, which is as old as the bakery itself. READ MORE: Celtic release special Oasis-themed magazine amid iconic band's reunion Reflecting on the bakery's success, Kathleen said: "It's been incredible to watch how the bakery has grown from humble beginnings to supplying some of Glasgow's most renowned venues. "We've stayed true to the original principles of using traditional, handcrafted techniques, and that's resonated with our clients. "The reason we're still around is because we've never stopped evolving. There's a growing appetite for food made properly, and I think people are becoming wise to how bad supermarket bread really is for you. "We need more space so we can continue to give the same care and attention we've always given to our products as demand grows."

American living in UK slams Oasis gigs but Noel Gallagher's daughter has 'best response'
An American living in the UK has slammed the Oasis reunion gigs, but Noel Gallagher's daughter replied pretty quickly. Gizzelle Cade expressed her fury in a candid video Over the past few weeks most people have been talking about the Oasis reunion. After all, it's the first time the band has been back together in 16 years, and thousands of fans have been flocking to see the Gallagher brothers take to the stage together again. However, an American woman living in Manchester has slammed the Oasis reunion, and opened up about a personal issue she has with it. Though she has concerns, she probably didn't expect Noel Gallagher 's daughter, Anaïs, to reply to her TikTok rant after she shared it with the world online and caused a stir with her bold claims. Gizzelle Cade said: "This message is for the people of Manchester and Manchester only. I need you guys to wrap up this Oasis thing this week. I need you to wrap it up this week. "I'm leaving my house and McDonald's - Oasis, Adidas - Oasis, Oasis merch, Oasis look-a-like contests, Oasis discounted drinks, music all night - you guys need to wrap this up. "I've listened to the music - it's ok, but it's not Calypso, it's not Afrobeat. I need you guys to wrap this up this week, so I can start leaving my house in peace. Thank you - signed, a concerned US/UK citizen" The video has been viewed dozens of times since it was shared, but one very important person took to the comments section. Noel's daughter, Anaïs, was one of many people to respond. She said: "Girl, let the fans have their fun. They've waited long enough." Naturally, people were quick to like the comment. Other fans also seemed a bit angry, as another wrote: "Lol, I'm 100% not an Oasis fan and I also live in Manchester; however, you as an American cannot come and live in the city where Oasis was born and tell people here to 'wrap it up'. "You can't expect people to tone down being a Mancunian. I agree that it's a lot, but let people have their fun. Just stay at home until it's over?" Someone else replied: "I think it's ignorant to move somewhere and ask the local culture to tone down a cultural tidal wave of an Oasis reunion." One more wrote: "Imagine moving to Manchester and being annoyed by Oasis." To this, the content creator replied: "I didn't know before I got here." Another added: "God forbid a band comes back after 16 years." A blatant Oasis fan also chimed in with: "But they are unapologetically ours. We will celebrate them." Some people did agree with Gizzelle though, as someone else replied: "I live around the corner from Heaton Park. It's been hell." One more added: "I was over Oasis before they started." Despite Gizzelle's concerns, around 80,000 fans attended Heaton Park for the first of five gigs in Manchester. Last weekend, the Gallagher brothers opened the show with Hello, the first number on their hugely celebrated album What's The Story (Morning Glory)? Fans have been raving about the shows since the band first kicked off the reunion tour in Cardiff. Many have labelled the gigs among "best" they've ever experienced.

Proof Oasis will make it to Australia despite rift rumours during sold out reunion tour
It may be two decades in the making, but Oasis are finally making their way Down Under. As rift rumours continue to swirl around brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher during the Britpop icons' sold out world tour, many fans are wondering if the pair's notoriously prickly relationship can last the distance of a 41-date world tour. In fact, after just four shows, many fans are questioning if the band can make it to their highly anticipated shows at Wembley Stadium later this month. Reports that Noel and Liam would be kept apart as much as possible on tour, and Liam taking off solo after the band's first show in Cardiff have caused fans to wonder if the wheels will fall off before the tour wraps up in November. Meanwhile, the pair's body language on-stage has been analysed by experts, who say Noel appears 'overwhelmed', whereas Liam remains the 'dominant' presence From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Fans voiced their concerns on X, with many speculating the tour would not see its end due to the brothers' feelings towards one another. Users took to the site to write: 'Please finish the tour without fighting... The tour will be lucky to finish all dates [mark my words].' 'They still hate each other... Bet they don't finish the tour... It's not Oasis though, it's the Liam and Noel show. I bet they don't finish the tour.' However, if the completed shows are anything to go by, it seems Aussie fans will have little to worry about. Claims that there is still friction between Liam and Noel appear to contradict the 'united front' the brothers have been projecting out on stage. For example, the band's bravura set in Cardiff to kick off the tour earlier this month, saw Noel and Liam take to the stage, arm in arm, before delivering a set to delight even the most cynical Oasis fan. Further, Rolling Stone Australia reported that it was a similar situation during the band's second of five hometown shows in Manchester. The publication wrote that when it came time for Noel's 'leading segment' of the set, Liam let his brother have his moment in the sun. They reported that Liam even gave his brother a friendly fist bump before blowing a kiss to the crowd and sauntering off stage to let Noel's star shine. It seems the brothers are keen to keep the tour going as long as possible as a way to say 'thank you' to fans who have waited so long for a reunion. The publication reported that Liam had some positive words for the crowd after playing their hit Champagne Supernova. 'Over the years, I know it's hard work and all that tackle, but we appreciate it,' he reportedly told the crowd. 'You're the best f***ing fans, man. You're mad as f***, but you're the f***ing best ones, man.' With the love-fest showing no signs of abating, Aussie fans should be confident of seeing the Britpop legends in the flesh when they hit Australia for four shows later this year. The Wonderwall fan favourites will play Melbourne's Marvel Stadium on October 31, November 1 and November 4 before moving to Sydney's Accor Stadium for shows on November 7 and November 8. The band were last in the country back in 2005 on their Don't Believe The Truth tour.
