KL cops say recorded four statements in Shila Amzah's criminal intimidation case, probe sent to prosecutors for next action
KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 — The investigation paper (IP) on the case of singer Nurshahila Amir Amzah, also known as Shila Amzah, claiming to have been verbally assaulted by a legendary male singer during a concert practice session, will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutors' Office for further action. Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the police were in the process of completing the investigation paper. 'So far, the police have recorded the statements of four individuals, including the complainant, to assist in the investigation,' he said in a statement today. The police are investigating the case under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation following a report lodged by Shila at the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 5.31 pm last Thursday. — Bernama

(Instagram pic) PETALING JAYA : Police have opened an investigation paper into singer Shila Amzah's claim that she was attacked by a senior artiste during a concert rehearsal at the Merdeka Stadium in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Usuf Jan Mohamad said they received a report about the alleged incident at around 5.31pm yesterday. 'The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code (for criminal intimidation),' he was quoted as saying by Kosmo. Shila, whose full name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, claimed on Instagram that she was openly attacked in front of crew members during the rehearsal for a concert being held tonight. Several veteran and popular artistes have been lined up for the concert.
