Rajasthan win 60 medals to finish third in Khelo India National Youth Games
Jaipur: Rajasthan performed magnificently in the Khelo India Youth Games and secured third position in the medals tally with 24 gold, 12 silver and 24 bronze medals. The 7th Khelo India National Youth Games 2025, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and Sports Authority of India, was held in Bihar from May 4 to 15, 2025. Maharashtra topped the list by grabbing a total of 158 medals including 58 gold, 47 silver and 53 bronze medals, while Haryana claimed the second spot with a total of 117 medals including 39 gold. Rajasthan had secured fifth position in the KIYG held in Tamil Nadu last year. Thus, Rajasthan performed brilliantly this time and jumped two places to achieve their best-ever third rank. Last year, Rajasthan had won a total of 47 medals including 13 gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze medals. Secretary of Rajasthan State Sports Council, Rajendra Singh Sisodia informed that Rajasthan stood third with 24 gold medals in KIYG 2025. Chief de Mission of Rajasthan, Ranvijay Singh Champawat said that this year the players of Rajasthan have given an excellent performance and have achieved the third position in the country.
